When I booked this property in January it said they would charge in advance, which was fine, I was under the impression that meant they would charge our credit card. But 3 days prior to our stay they emailed me telling me I needed to do a bank transfer with the full amount. We are from the United States and do not have a Canadian bank account. I was completely stressed out . After messaging the hotel back and forth they agreed to letting us pay cash, over $1000 between the reservation for my sister and I. We were not traveling with that much cash and had to use the atm each day before our stay to be able to take out the money necessary, incurring a fee each time. It was a very poor way of doing business and for this reason I will not recommend this hotel. Also, the manager was very rude.

See above. Also they did not leave us enough of necessary things like toilet paper, we had to borrow from other family staying with us in another room.

A day before we saw owner outside and asked to use sauna. It wasn't available so we booked for three oclock the next day. At 1:00 that day I emailed to cancel the sauna. At 4:00 we were about to get into the car. The owner was outside and was very angry because we didn't use sauna. We told him we emailed at 1:00. He went on and on and said he doesn't look at his computer every minute..... the owners were very inaccessible

This place was small but very well designed, diligently maintained with the owner often on site, and spotless. The Covid restrictions were very clear and carefully enforced.

Some of the rules were a little rigid, and although it was comforting to have the owner on site, it became stressful to be constantly reminded of them. For example, he would pop up out of nowhere and ask us to wear a mask outdoors in the empty parking lot. At the same time, it was hard to find him when we really needed him. One day we had to shovel ourselves out of the snowy parking lot, and it took a couple of hours to find him one morning when we lost our room key.

Central location. You can ski right out of the parking lot to Pionnere Parc and walk about 200 metres to the main road. Very clean, bright and well decorated. Comfortable bed and pillows. Fully stocked kitchen; microwave, fridge, toaster, dishes, kettle, tea bags and coffee, coffee pot. There is a sauna and hot tub on the property and a main eating area on the main floor. We did not use these amenities, but they looked nice.
