The house and our room was SUPER comfortable, very well located and the owner is a gem. She made us pancakes for breakfast. The delight is, as always, in the details.

Loved it all!

Check in was flexible and easy. Management was communicative, helpful, and made delicious breakfast. Parking was close by. Room was clean. Downtown Ouray right down the street.

The breakfast was not what we expected. We booked our stay based on reviews from others. Everyone raved about the breakfast and happy hour in the evenings. The owners played guitar and visitation sounded fun! This was the main reason we choose to stay at Black Bear Manor. Unfortunately, the property sold before our stay. The breakfast was NOT good. In fact, we choose to eat elsewhere the last 3 mornings of our 7-day stay! We kept thinking maybe it would get better, IT DID NOT! Happy hour was nonexistent. They just put out some wine and other drinks you could serve yourself. Disappointing!!! I think they miss the point of a Bed and Breakfast. It should feel like staying with friends or even family!

Staff and location were great, cute little home very welcoming....loved the breakfast.

It was a great location. The host was very nice and accommodating. We arrived late, but were still able to be checked in without a problem. It was very quiet in the room and you're able to socialize with other guests to your level of comfort.

The only thing that would have made the stay better would be more water pressure in the shower and AC in the room. The pressure wasn't terrible and it was cool enough that it AC wasn't essential, just would have been nice.

The location and breakfasts were terrific. Checking in and coming and going we’re easy. The spa was relaxing. Tom was accommodating and entertaining.

The rooms need more sound-proofing, we could hear the guests from, upstairs, I think, from just after 5 one morning until after mid-night the next night.

The owners were great and went out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Cindy is a charming host who really suceeds in creating a warm and welcoming home away from home. The breakfast was fabulous too!
