The hotel is very pretty with open and welcoming common spaces. The pool area is nice, we were lucky as it was not busy but could feel crowded if area was full. The breakfast, which is complimentary, was very nice and had good variety with added touches like mimosas. The spa area is very good with separate areas for men and women. Steam, sauna and an outdoor jacuzzi. Staff at the spa were very nice. Gym is underwhelming for the size of the estate and price of the hotel. You can do a decent workout but this area needs improvement.

As above gym needs work. Room furniture is dated and there is little closet space. Price of treatments is way too high for quality of treatments and length of session.

The facilities were nice. The breakfast was very good too. We used the hotel's driving service one evening. The drivers were both very nice.

We left our room at 8:30 am. We returned at 5:30 pm and our room was not cleaned. For the price of the hotel, that room should have been cleaned when we returned - no excuses. We called to the front desk and we were asked what they could do for us and my husband said "come up here and clean the room." We then had to leave our room instead of getting ready for dinner and wait for the room to be cleaned.

The Estate has a good range of facilities, but you would expect this for the price. The reception staff were friendly enough, but not to the high standards you would expect of a high end place. The concierge (Joan and Pamela) was exceptionally helpful with organising vineyard tours.

The catering for coeliacs is virtually non-existent, despite been alerted to our needs months before. We eded up having to buy our own gluten free cereal from Napa, just down the road. Do not stay here if you are coeliac or have a gluten intolerance. There was a lot of dirt around, due to gardening re-planting, the concrete on the patio outside our room was filthy. Maid service was poor, often late in the day due to staffing problems. The breakfast area has a lack of tables, and often had to sit on couches balancing our meal on our lap on a cushion. Despite the high room rate, they still charged an additional US$60/day "resort fee" !!

The location was good, room was clean.

When we checked in we asked for a quiet room. They gave us a room next to a parking lot and street. At 730 am a tractor and crew began digging dirt out from below our room. The noise and yelling of the crew continued up until we left at 1130 am. We could not sleep, rest, relax or even watch television the noise was so loud. We complained and nothing was done short of removing our resort fee. The hotel was maybe at half capacity. We were out of town for one night to eat at French Laundry and were so excited to relax (we have small kids). Biggest loudest bummer. The room was not cheap either. Honestly I am furious.
