The house and property is beautiful. Horses are friendly. House stays surprisingly warm with the wood burning furnace that heats the house. The hot tub on a chilly night is absolutely perfect.

We loved it for our family gathering, lots of space and great outdoor adventures nearby.

We absolutely loved the cabin, and certainly one of the most quirky and unique rentals we have stayed in. Perfect for a group of friends or large family. To top it all off, Alan was a superb host. Would reccommend!

We were blown away by this property. If you are looking for a serene, peaceful place to stay then this is it. Surrounded by horses and nature, and very quiet with wide open spaces and incredible views. The location is absolutely perfect being just outside of town. Excellent communication by the owner who is very friendly and easy to do business with. Total 5 stars by everyone in our group!

Liked the place would rent again

This was by far the best trip we’ve ever had as a family! Upon arrival we found this log home very clean and spacious. There was plenty of room for all 7 of us to not only sleep comfortably but to also enjoy separate living areas. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals and the barbecue outside was a bonus. The kids enjoyed taking the bikes out for leisurely rides in the countryside. The horses were a big hit and Al gave them each special horseshoes that they have proudly displayed in their rooms at home as keepsakes. Lori took the time to show the kids how to groom the horses and took my daughter horseback riding around the property. She also invited us into her home in the neighbourhood where they spent hours chasing and holding her chickens, gathering produce from the garden and eggs from the hens. The pigs were overjoyed by all of our daily scraps from meals and the children got a thrill from feeding them each day. (They haven’t had pork chops since our time here, although they still eat bacon!) This location of the property was ideal for all our interests! Provincial parks nearby, hikes through the mountains, horseback riding, breweries, local markets, Whistler, white water rafting...the list goes on. Mount Currie is absolutely breathtaking and you feel like you’re in paradise. We loved the rustic feel of the log cabin, cozy and warm. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a retreat, family reunion, or gathering of friends. Although we couldn’t have a fire due to the ban, we enjoyed sitting outside and listening to music. My children and friends will be talking about this trip for years to come!
