The room was very clean including the bathroom. The breakfast was good. They had eggs, sausage, Belgian waffles, and much more. The pool and hot tub were clean and they also had a propane fire pit outside.

When we first entered into the property we liked the hallway interior, it has a welcoming atmosphere. There was a little tea/coffee station by the entrance we really liked it and it was a 24 hour service. There was a big fire pit on the front porch and you can sit around it and have a relaxing time. The outdoor pool was good as well. Most of the staff were nice and friendly.

I didn’t like the room I got. The ac in the room was so loud like an old machine. The restroom looked very old and I saw mold in some places, though they tried to cover it somehow but i wasn’t expecting to see it in a 8.6 rating reputed hotel room . And most importantly the beds. We booked 2 queen bed room. And as they advertised, it wasn’t one of the bigger room and bed in lake George. We’ve experienced some other hotels with much bigger rooms and beds in lake George. Even though we were 2 adults with 2 kids, we had to struggle to get a good sleep because the beds weren’t big enough.

The property was located outside of Lake George proper, but directly next door to the Great Escape theme park (like you can see the roller coasters from the parking lot). To us, it was a perfect compromise. Not far into town, but close to the theme park. The hotel-provided breakfast was delicious and well-managed. There is a nice fire pit to sit near at night. The outdoor pool is heated and clean. The staff was very nice and the check in/check out was smooth and easy.

The indoor pool and hot tub were honestly filthy. Walking through the pool, every time I brought my arm out of the water it was covered in someone else’s hair (I know it’s not mine because, I’m a ginger and these were long dark hairs), you couldn’t see the bottom of either the pool or the hot tub because the water was murky. Plus the pool towels are the size of dish towels. The guest room key cards kept deprogramming themselves, leading us to have to call the front desk for assistance on multiple occasions. But we used the outdoor pool, which is heated and clean and the key card was more annoying than actually difficult.

Ce n’était pas très propre dans la chambre (salle de bain et télé toute bariolée, ce qui nous laissait croire que le ménage était vite fait). Aussi, nous étions 5 (réservé pour 5) mais nous n’avions pas de serviettes pour 5. Et qu’un petit drap pour la personne qui dormait sur le divan lit qui n’était pas très confortable (matelas très mince, on sentait tous les ressorts). Déjeuners pas extra non plus.

La partie déjeuner : beaucoup de choix dans la section des produits céréaliers ( pain, crêpes et gaufre, céréales pour enfants , bagels) mais la section protéine est à améliorer . Œuf : ok , l’autre choix : a améliorer ( nourriture en canne, avec très peu de valeur nutritionnelle ) .

Key card to our door was a little finicky. The desk person admitted that the door readers need to be updated. Bad coffee (like really bad). Pool is a little cold. Gym had no free weights whatsoever. ONE slow elevator.

We liked staying here. Everything was great except for check in!

Check in was not good. We arrived at noon and was told our room was not ready and that it would be ready “In a little bit.” We went out for lunch and came back two hours later. New staff said our room was not ready and we should come back closer to official check in time. So, we waited in the lobby for 45 minutes until our room was ready. Know this: I had emailed 6 weeks earlier that we would like to check in around 2 o’clock and was told that would not be a problem.

Room had odor of smoke. Front desk was able to provide a room that did not have a overwhelming odor replacement.

Coffee. The coffee was HORRIBLE. Everything would have been perfect had the coffee been drinkable. $40 motels in the city serve this same coffee. Serve at least Folgers or something drinkable . This is the only complaint I have
