Not luxury enough

Location is excellent. A little more quiet than downtown hotels. Room was clean upon arrival and cleaned each day of our stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. We had a great stay here.

It got a little noisier on Saturday evening because more people were there. Also our next door neighbor smoked outside our room and the smell came through the a/c. Not much you can do about that but it was annoying.

We live approximately 20 miles from this hotel. The purpose for renting it was a "date night", away from the house and the kids. We didn't see anything on the booking.com site about a "no locals" policy. Apparently, there's a drug user problem in this county, and the hotel won't rent to anyone who lives "local". The distance required to be non-local isn't defined. So, my wife and I get there and then we're told that we can't have our reservation honored because we live too close. 🙄🫤 I am a 43 year old, dad-body, professional man, who drives a nice SUV and has credit cards. I can understand that "drug users" could be anyone, but I don't think I give off any tweaker vibes. But, nope, we were turned away, which then disrupted all our subsequent plans for the evening. Absurd policy. Also, if they're that worried about "drug users" being in the area, maybe you shouldn't stay there.

The staff was great! They were very helpful and were quick to respond to any questions we had. The location provided a great view of the mountains. Thank you we had a great time!

The light over the sink did not work very well. It took anywhere from 30 mins. to over an hour for it to come on.

the beds were VERY comfortable and the room was spotless! I didn’t love that it was a motel-style but the hotel is up on a hill secluded from traffic noise. super convenient to Blue Ridge Pkwy and Waynesville has several really good dinner restaurants- a plus! The staff at front desk was also lovely!
