The people were wonderful. Treated with respect and very friendly.
You do not offer drinking water to guests. The room is to expensive for not offering water in the room. The vending machines were out of drinking water. Your vending machines in the building had no drinking water. Add drinking water to the food menu. Also add water to the lobby. I recommend you to have a water dispenser for people to fill a cup of water on their arrival or while they wait in the lobby.

I cancelled my reservation because the welcoming staff at the front desk would not honor my military discount. I selected the room because it said I would only have to pay $49.00 dollars and cents for the 1 night stay according to the online booking. Yet when I got to the hotel the staff said the room would cost $249.00 plus tax. So I cancelled the room and they gave me a receipt for the cancellation. Microtel isn’t the Hilton so why are you guys charging so much for your rooms?
I didn’t like the high cost for your rooms. And I believe your staff is untrained in greeting people. They showed me the receipt that said $49 dollars but wanted to void that cost out and charge $249 dollars.

We have stayed at this property before and were happy at the time because they gave us a call to make sure that our reservation was kept. So, we were confident that our stay, this second time, would be the same as before. Unhappy would be an understatement.
We arrived at the property to find out that our reservation was canceled without notice. The staff was rude and apathetic to placing us in a huge predicament. There were no other hotel rooms in the nearby area, due to Microtel staff we were forced to sleep in our vehicle in a parking lot. Do you think that Microtel has your safety and well being in mind? I think, not!

No water in rooms or even to buy . air was terrible room was hot . machine was out of all
Drinks but Pibb . We asked for fan said no we asked for water he said store down street Just felt for 176 a night it wasn’t up to price. And no king beds at all in hotel double beds in all rooms, and no make up wipes but if you get make up on a towel they make you buy a new one . Elevator took about 5 minutes to move two floors . Just felt run poorly for being brand new , couldn’t even make coffee in morning since we would have to use hotel water. . I normally don’t do this but I feel it was needed for how terrible our stay was , woke up 5 am and drove home so we could get sleep that’s how uncomfortable beds were . Sorry I had to do this

Friendly staff
There was an incident of domestic/physical abuse from other people staying at the hotel. I was woken up at 2 am by the victim's desperate cry for help. The police was called and 3 vehicles showed up. I didn't feel safe staying there at all and couldn't sleep. This incident really messed up my stay and feel a lot more could have been done to prevent these types of incidents and ensure our safety.

we always stay here when we go to Kickapoo and it was another great stay.

The staff was nice, lobby and rooms looked and smelled clean. Beds were comfortable and nice. There was a waffle house restaurant in the parking lot that also had other foods.
There was a roach like bug in our room that we had to kill. Breakfast was continental, no eggs or bacon etc...but it was better than no breakfast :)
