we have stayed in this hotel plenty of times. but this last room we have had a very bad smell the fridge wasn’t clean, and the kitchen sink had dried food stuck in it

it met my needs, conveniently located and nice employees

half of the lights in the room didn’t work. I killed 4 roaches which then made me uncomfortable.

Great place to stay! I came to run Chicago Marathon. Every single place in town (especially in downtown) charged ridiculous $100-150 for cleaning services per day and $100 deposits, except for this place. Another perk, rooms have micro kitchen and a big flat screen TV with cable channels. My room was also clean and the staff from reception was available at 6am when I left for a run. Great experience.

On a less positive side of things, the place is located in the middle of nowhere, far away from downtown. I commuted by train (for about 40-50 minutes) and then by uber (another 10-15 minutes).

Zero breakfast. No ice mach.

Ice machine and they used decaf instead of real coffee. They can't fool a coffee drinker.

Great shower pressure and hot water.

Staff was horrible. They were unprofessional, inattentive, and gave us issues about requesting more towels. No one came to clean our room, despite trash bags in the hallways the entire weekend. Our TV didn’t work. We were advised to unplug it and try again. Once it came on, there was no remote. When we went to the staff member, she argued with us about whether this was true prior to giving us the remote. She gave us a spiel about refraining from smoking(which was no problem for us) however she smelled like marijuana herself. Our stay was very disappointing, and certainly not worth the money.

Ok, our main concern is Safety, since we will be there for 1 month starting in June. Coffee was great, you have the creamer we like.

Noise out in the hallway, not sure why so much knocking on doors.

Under the beds were disgusting, 9pm quiet time.? Im an adult and 9pm is my childs bed time not a grown adult. Nothing in the room to cook with and it came with a kitchen? Makes no sense. The "dining room tables" chairs were cheap computer chairs that had stains on them. If we needed more linens to bag them and bring them down ourselves and switch it out. Like um do i get paid for this since I'm basically doing my own room cleaning. Never have been in a room like this with these rules. Was DEFINITELY NOT worth the almost 300$ i paid for 2 nights. Elevators and buttons barely worked.
