Fantastic and very kind service. The room was very big. The place is dog friendly. Dog cannot be left alone in the the room, but the breakfast can be taken to the room. Carmel Country Inn is providing a list of dog friendly restaurants. Recommended places were great and we really enjoy that list.

We liked the location. We could walk everywhere and it was quiet. The bed was amazing. The staff were super friendly.

Location was beautiful. After staying here, I did not want to leave. They have a very cute cat, and the room was great. They gave us some snacks for the long road home. The staff was also very inviting and followed up on the room’s availability.

ALL FOR $447.99.00 PER NIGHT!! Was "screwed" on the room price because of Booking., com $399 vs. $369 ~~ Why would the owner want to overcharge and irritate their guests by using such a website? Really made me angry. I would have cancelled but couldn't. The way the room presented itself was quite aggravating. There was a most offensive odor in the room. What it was is indescribable. When we arrived all doors and windows had been opened trying to air it out ~ didn't work. Gave me quite a headache and hard to sleep. Cheap toilet paper and Kleenex tissue, Towels were a bit sloppily displayed. Comforter at end of bed was obviously made of a dry clean only material ~~ surely it wasn't cleaned after each guest!!! During this time of "Covid" ~~ Really???!!! I tried not to give a review by ignoring your first request. I don't mean to upset anyone but, on the other hand, I was quite upset and will find other accommodations next time we visit Carmel

Property was beautiful and the staff fantastic.
Strong smell in my room if some type of cleaning product or carpet refresher. It was so intense it gave me a migraine.

This is a quaint cottage within 5-10 minutes walking distance to the town with shops and restaurants. There was plenty of parking. The unit was spacious and very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable and plenty of soft cushy towels. There were bottles of shampoo, conditioners, soaps, and lotions for all of us (family of 4). Even tho there wasn't an air conditioner, the weather and the fans made it cozy to sleep at night. In the morning, we had quiche and coffee on the outside patio. And it was a pleasant surprise that they had cookie bags for the road.
I wouldn't say we were greeted "warmly' when we checked it.

We stayed in a 2 Bed 2 Bath 1 Sofa Bed room - 3 adult women and 2 dogs. It was so comfortable, laid out very nicely, fireplace, fridge, coffee maker with real cups, glasses and wine glasses. Dutch door was a neat bonus. What really made the difference was the staff, they were friendly, efficient, and made us feel like part of the family. So many wonderful touches especially for pets - strollers, weekly picture contest, little mat in the room for their dishes, lists of dog friendly establishments. Breakfast was better than many restaurants with quiches from SF, fresh pastries, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, coffee and teas and more. Just wonderful all around!

It was clean and comfy and cozy. I loved the fireplace it was warm and inviting and really helped me relax. Will definitely stay again.
Although the bed was comfortable I think if you put a foam mattress underneath I have about two or three in it would be even more comfortable.

The staff were super friendly and inviting. Loved the location, a nice walking distance to nearby restaurants and shopping locations. The room was quiet and super cozy. I definitely will be back.

Breakfast was amazing! A lot of space in the room, location was perfect just the right distance to the center without the crowd, a bit further to the beach but really nice walk. Fireplace was really enjoyable.
I read negative reviews about the beds that were too old. I think it's true that they could be changed (very soft) however we slept well.

What a beautiful inn in a spectacular location! The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The rooms were ok. Just fine. Showing their age a bit.
