The location is close to EWR Airport, the Cruise Terminal for Royal Caribbean, and has several restaurants and the Mills Mall. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was the largest for any Embassy Suites I've stayed and I loved having a shower instead of a bathtub/shower combo.

The suite layout is very compact. I'm a so traveler and if I were traveling with a family it would still be tight quarters. As in previous posts, the furnishings are scratched, and the sofa was very uncomfortable and stained. I considered asking for a sheet or blanket to cover the sofa before sitting on it. The cost for one night was $343 which is what I would expect to pay for a high-end hotel—not an Embassy Suites. Additionally, the pool, hot tub, and fitness center were all closed for renovations. Another disappointment considering the high price.

Appalling service. Dirty dining room. Half of the food is missing. We asked them to fill with cheese. Took an hour to fill. Wait for the omelette for 45 minutes. There are no workers and the place looks horrible.

Calling booking,com to discuss the issue and next steps. Been many stays and dont know if it was hotel or booking.com process Have many stays, and never had an issue before.

I had a confirmed confirmation with booking,com. late arrival, when we reached the property... told NO ROOM. The front desk did not offer any support/assistance to find another room@1am. Told to confirm with property verbally before arrival. :(

The hotel was close to the airport and walking distance to the mall.

The air conditioning in the hotel was not working and it was hot and unbearable during this summer heat.

Breakfast was great, so was the location

Elevators could have been working, 2 were out of service on Sunday. Furniture in room (sofa and table chairs) need cleaning and update chair seats were torn. Also had to ask housekeeping to change sheets that were soiled before we used bed.

whole thing was a bit disappointing other than location- light in bathroom was out, the shower pull didn't work, the tub and shower head would fill at the same time, no shower cap. cable was limited. not storage for luggage, happy hour ran out of food, breakfast ran out of food.

The hotel room stunk of cigarette smoke (no smoking). We were not advised that we wouldn't have cleaning service unless we asked. So they bought us fresh towels after we requested it but left dirty ones and didn't make the bed. The couches are disgusting. I would not stay there again. The price is too much for how bad the rooms are. It's sad because the rooms are a nice size but cleaning them is a major issue.

Rude staff, not enough choice of breakfast. Uncomfortable I’ll equipped rooms and infrequent shuttle service. Too expensive.

Location is in front of outlet mall so best for shopping. The shuttle takes you to the airport within a few minutes and is available at all the times. From the airport you can easily take trains to other places like Penn Station New York takes less than 30 minutes.

I checked in on Wednesday and on Friday the same trash that was on elevator #1 was on the floor. There were spills in the hallway by the elevators and they remained as well. The breakfast was cold and the juice was watered down. The room was pleasant but not worth $250 per night.

This is our favorite place to go for a quick, inexpensive getaway from the daily grind.
