Newly built Villa with spacious rooms & all facilities needed (AC, Hot water, comfortable beds, WiFi, etc). Peaceful / quaint & very convenient location, just 5 - 10 walk away from Dikwella & Hiriketiya Beach. Close by to Supermarkets & Dikwella town area. Beautiful garden area for relaxing too.

The rooms are really big and very well equipped with a couch and a fridge. The room and the kitchen are very clean and it was nice to have a kitchen to prepare your own breakfast. the owner is really nice and helpful. definitely recommend staying here.

This was definitely the best stay on our 4 week long trip! The room and bathroom are very spacious with windows, lots of light and no smell whatsoever, which was a constant problem in other accommodations. The AC worked perfectly and even though we had a moskito net, we didn't need it due to the perfectly clean rooms with not even a sign of bugs. There is also a very spacious kitchen we were allowed to use any time. Perfect for longer stays! The host is a very friendly man willing to help whenever needed but giving a professional distance at the same time. One time we stayed in and he just randomly brought us chocolate cake - super sweet! There is a little rooftop terrace as well where we spent some cozy evenings watching the palm trees sway in the ocean breeze. We even saw a peacock once! Right across the street is Dickwella beach, a very laid back place where you get a cheap sunbed in the shade or can catch a perfect sundown with a cool coconut in hand. Food City (even a liquor store) is also right across the street, so shopping groceries is super convinent. Hiriketiya beach is a 15 min walk from there - for 300 rupees you can catch a tuk tuk to there right in front of the door. We were super happy to spend our last days of the trip here, thank you for everything!

We booked based on the previous fantastic comments but the accommodation didn’t live up to our expectations based on the reviews. We ended up not staying the whole period.

I liked staying at Surfbay. Internet was good. There was space to work. Washing machine for washing clothes, and a big kitchen with all facilities. The host was very helpful, polite and caring. We loved tea, cakes, samosas. He let us live freely and we enjoyed the stay

very cozy, quiet and with a very, very fast internet connection. I could work several hours a day from the Villa, including video calls, with no connection problems at all —something quite difficult to find in Sri Lanka :/

Great place, esp. considering it was almost last minute booking! Due to location we could explore all the beaches and places we wanted - not focused on one specific. The comfort level and everything inside the house was beyond our expectations based on previous Sri Lanka experience. In the end we decided we wanted to stay more nights and we were lucky that our room was available. The host is pretty thoughtful and helped with the transport to the train station and im sure he would be able to accommodate more of our requests if any.

Would be awesome to have the breakfasts included :)) but I guess that the team doesn't really provide this service and that's fine

A perfect place to stay. Super close to Dickwella Beach and coworking space. 15-minutes walk for surfing on Hiriketiya beach. Superb breakfast, spacious rooms, helpful manager, your own garden with coconuts, and peaceful evenings.

The rooms are so spacious, but a bit dark due to the wooden windows that have to be kept close when the AC is on. No card payments, but it's a usual story in Sri Lanka. Apart from that, it's perfect.

By far the best aircon and WiFi in dickwella, if you are remote working you can easily do it from here. Room was super quiet so we slept well and had a fridge mirror everything you need. The guy was super nice and made us tea and we’d have some chats. The beach is just across the road, dickwella beach is quiet and stunning, hiriketiya is 200 rupes by tuk tuk and takes 3 mins, for the price totally worth staying here rather than in hiriketiya, food city is closer, it’s closer to a nicer beach etc.

A couple of ants would always be around the sink, it’s ground floor so not sure if much can be done about it but if that was solved it would have been perfect.

5 star experience in a guest home. My oh my this is by far the BEST hospitality in Sri Lanka. Service - Impeccable. Chamila the Manager is like a surgeon but for hospitality service, he hits it out of the park every time. He definitely deserves a raise or should win the gold standard. Super sweet, genuine, kind, considerate, happy to help, and always thinking ahead for us. He is always seen wearing N95mask(if that matters to you) When our tuk tuk wouldn’t start in the morning he called the neighbour mechanic to help us take a look, we didn’t even ask! He makes sure we are happy with the room, the food, everything, and always with a calm, collected mood, considered and capable aura. The property and grounds are excellently kept with a consistent schedule for each task. High ceiling, large rooms, each spot is dusted, wiped, smells very clean. Super comfortable large bed, quality linens, quiet and new air-con. The common areas are also organized, tidy and stocked, there is even a microwave. Nice elegant decorations as well, better than what we’ve seen at other places. Breakfast is the best quality we’ve had with REAL bread, quality jam, plenty of fruit and a real portion! savoury dish. Location - awesome, close to all the conveniences of town, and easy walk to Dickwella beach. We were super comfortable and happy.

Homestay is quite new and clean, very friendly owner taking good care of their guests. Price is a bit on the high-end for a single person. Breakfast was expected to be included, but it wasn't.

At the end of our stay we asked the owner to book us a transport. The price suggested by the company was 2K rs/ higher than we expected. Therefore we decided to book with a company which we found by google.

Room was nice and spacey, Kitchen was also very good. Everything was there you need. Dickwella Beach 7 min by foot. Hiriketia Beach 15 min by foot. Host was very friendly, so we got some breakfast for new year for free. Would definitely stay there again.

Had a great stay in this place, me and my friends even prolonged our stay. The place is 5 minutes walk from dickwella beach and has an atm near by. Very clean and owner was very friendly and helpful. Room was huge. There is a washing machine available where you can pay 500LKR for 1kg of clothes which was very useful for us while backpacking.

The breakfast was really good however the choices as it is mentioned on the menu weren’t given. Also we didn’t like the fact we had to ring the bell at night when we arrive to the property, to notify the owner and then he could open the main door of the house for us. Would rather have another key where everyone should have access.

Great stay at Surf Bay Villa. Good location, close to Hiriketiya beach for surfing. 20 min walk or a 5 min tuk tuk for 200 LKR. Room was clean and spacious. Hot shower. The gentleman that owned it was very nice and always helpful. He brought cake and refreshments to us on two occassions. Kitchen available if required. Opposite big food city supermarket and ATM
