Great breakfast that was waiting for us as we woke up. Liz and Carol were always there to make our stay so enjoyable. The room had a patio where we could sit with coffee and wine at night. Great location close to beach and restaurants.

Wonderful hosts who went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was exceptional, the spotless room had many little touches that we really appreciated. We felt like we were guests in their very nice home.

We really have nothing negative to say, it was a wonderful stay. If we have to list something we didn't like, it would be that there is no a/c, and some days now can be warmer than normal. However, many homes in the San Diego area don't have air conditioning. We were out during the day and it does cool off after sundown so this wasn't a big issue.

The Kate Stanton Inn in all honestly left me speechless. Liz and Carol as hosts make your stay in thier home thier primary focus. Nothing is too much trouble, and thier attention to detail puts many superior class hotels to shame. The rooms are tastefully appointed , the bed comfortable with fresh ,white, crisply laundered sheets. This truly is a home away from home! The breakfast was outstanding, nicely presented using local produce and assembled virtually as you walked through the door! The breakfast experience itself was enjoyable, and also gave the opportunity to interact with other guests. The Kate Stanton Inn is well located in a quiet rather exclusive neighborhood , a very short drive to local amenities and of course the beaches. We enjoyed relaxing on the back patio in the evenings with a nice glass of wine surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. If we are fortunate in the future to return to California we already know where we will be staying - thank you Liz and Carol

Liz and Carol are wonderful hostesses, wonderful human beings! We felt from the first moment that we were staying with old friends. We plan to stay with them again as it was nothing but an 'over-the-top' stay.

I can't think of a thing that I would change.

From the moment we walked in the door we felt at ease and at home. Carol and Liz were so accommodating and just a pleasure to be with.

The warmth and friendliness of Carol and Lizzie, and they were so helpful. It was a perfect getaway from a stressful world. Breakfast both days was amazing!

At first I thought it was a little far from downtown Encinitas (I’m a walker). But actually it was just a few miles away, and easy to get on and off the freeway.

The Kate Stanton Inn gives its guests the indelible experience that is so sought after for B&B establishments that it is incredible that they are not sold out every day of the year! Liz and Carol, who facilitate the home, do such an incredible job to make you feel welcome and ultimately comfortable that it would seem difficult to check out after your time is up. I would highly recommend staying here if you truly want a sublime experience. The beach is just down the street, the neighborhood is very quiet and the accessibility of restaurants and other amenities is conveniently close by. Overall a phenomenal setting for any person looking to upgrade from the ubiquitous corporate hotel atmosphere.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kate Stanton Inn. The entire house is beautiful, homey and very clean. Our room was clean and comfy. Loved the private patio. Breakfast was delicious, healthy and nutritious. Liz and Carol are wonderful hosts and we so enjoyed talking and laughing with them. We loved our stay at Kate Stanton Inn, and I have already recommended my friends and family to check it out. Thank you Liz and Carol! We'll be back!!
