We did not enjoy our stay at all. Construction started daily at 8am sharp (incl. Memorial Day) hammering and drilling right above our unit. We paid a lot of money for two nights and our stay was way overpriced to live in a full blown construction site. We went to the front desk and they said nothing they can do. They couldn’t move us to another room either since they were fully booked. The front desk staff mentioned that all homeowners were notified several times months in advance about the 7 day a week construction. We have never been notified about this otherwise I would have canceled our stay months ago and stay somewhere else. Not even at check in did they mention anything about the ongoing construction. We will never stay here again. We came to relax and celebrate our anniversary. This did not happen so we are leaving with big disappointment!

We were able to bring our cousin from Germany and his family to enjoy a few nights at south shore Lake Tahoe at a great price! The suite was newly renovated and allowed us to be in the middle of all the area offers while affording us a great chance to enjoy family when not exploring the area.

Enjoyed Tahoe, we eat at Base Camp Pizza, family Favorite. Then we did some shopping and checked out a couple of Casinos.

We had a delightful stay at this property in South Lake Tahoe, even if it was just for one night. The location couldn't be more convenient—centrally located and close to several great dining options. The communication from the host was spot-on, making our stay smooth and enjoyable. Our family felt right at home, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. A perfect spot for a family getaway!

Loved staying here because of location and overall satisfaction with hotel. We were low maintenance and reached out to the owner 1 time about early check-in as we travelled from Nashville and it was a full 12 hour travel day and we were tired. I never heard back and the hotel was not able to get us checked in until nearly 5pm. Other than that, it was a perfect location, and a fine hotel, walking distance to everything in town.

It was an excellent experience. My family had a very comfortable night's sleep.

Gondola was right outside of the lobby, super convenient for a ski vacation.

Just a few minor issues, the kitchen faucet leaks just a bit and the dryer lint screen is broken. Everything else was great.

Timber Lodge is very nice and convenient to the Gondola. Problem, gondola did NOT run every day. seemed like the mountain was short staffed.

This is an amazing location. You can walk to pretty much everything. They valet park one car so if you need the car you have to request it each time, but with restaurants, shops, the gondola within 5 min walk or less you don’t need your car. The property is great, very clean and plenty of room for a family of 3. The pool is heated so you can use it in the winter. The room is 2 adjoining rooms. They don’t clean the room while you’re there, it was fine for us but just want to make sure people know. We will definitely be staying here again.

The entire property lost power on the second night. It started at 3pm and lasted until 10pm, We had dinner ready to cook and had to change plans entirely. Was a terrible inconvenience, but not the fault of rental agency.

the only way to get your car is with valet, need to get your glasses good luck cant just run to it you have to wait......it sucks, property is great but never will I stay where I cant go to my car

Never disappointed at a Marriott Vacation Club

Our experience was amazing. The property is centrally located to all the beauty Tahoe has to offer. There are plenty of yummy places to eat including basecamp and the baked bear.

Location was close to shopping, entertainment and restaurants. Condo was spacious and clean and well supplied. We arrived around 2PM and was told room not ready. At 4:30 we were still waiting. At that time another room was offered, and we accepted change. Did not understand why the desk waited so long to make the room change offer.

After 12 days of exploring different towns in northern California, this was our last stop and entire family said they wish we could have stayed many more nights. The unit was simply great. It was a two bedroom suite where one side had the living room and bedroom, door access to the second room, which was organized like a hotel room. This basically put the living room and kitchen between the two bedrooms and everybody had their own space. The pool and hot tub area was fantastic, the location is thrust right in the middle of all of the activities and shops at Southlake Tahoe. We will definitely be coming back, I might even look at buying a timeshare vacation property like this one.

We had a 2 BR suite and it was large enough for all of us. The kitchen/living room space was GREAT and we even had a washer/dryer in the unit. It was at the base of Heavenly Ski area at the Gondola. Walking distance to everything in the Village. we would definitely stay here again!!

Excellent place to stay. Lots of family activities offered. The resort and our unit exceeded our expectations. Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, heated pool and adult fun. Lake and casinos within walking distance. We would definitely return.

Loved the Timber Lodge. I stayed in a two bedroom suite with 2 friends and we had more than what we could have asked for. Full kitchen + private kitchenette, as well as second coffee maker and living room area in the second studio suite was amazing. There were probably 20+ grills on the property so cooking your own meals was never a problem. The warm pool and multiple hit tubs were great. I would only note that there is parking for one car and it is $35/day for any extra. This was charged to my account and not at the front desk (so my friends were not able to pay for their extra car directly had to pay me back). The parking is valet only, so have cash on hand to tip (we did not anticipate that). Also there are pots/pans dishes in the kitchen and salt/pepper, but no other spices or oils. The property is walking distance from the CA/NV border and casinos … we were there for a big bike ride and did not get to take advantage of that, but I will certainly go back!

Overall A+.. Loving being so close to all the action in South Lake Tahoe! Timberlodge is a great resort
