Good location, easy to use everything.

Never got keys to use lockers.

Location was pretty good! Not close to JR station but close to many other things like A-dome & local subway lines lots of people staying at this hostel, easy way to meet other travellers

Our room was VERY hot, no windows or way to turn the heat down, shower water pressure was poor.

Super social hostel, everyone was in the common rooms chatting and hanging out which was great!

It was really dirty. They don't have covers on the doona, there is a sheet between you and the doona but you can see all the yellow stains on it. Further to that the showers were pretty filthy. They're unisex so there was public hairs/beard hairs all over the walls and floor and I could see the dirt caked on the floor. I wouldn't have been fussed by this as I had flip flops on but there was nowhere to hang your stuff so you had to put it on the floor. Beds were pretty uncomfy.

bed came with bean bag like pillow but wasn’t uncomfortable, but appeared to come with 2 flat sheets and then a duvet with what seemed to be no cover. I ended up just sleeping under the duvet and not touching the sheets

Great Location. Short walk to most sightseeing places.

the staff is really nice and kind:) I stayed with my mum. we could rest in private room, so my mum got relaxed. it was clean and comfortable.

I love the hostel atmosphere ;) The girl at the reception was very kind and put me and my friends in a room only for us!! Very nice place

The hostel is in a really good location! very near to everything that we wanted to see. They have a decent sized common area and kitchen. You can access the roof for added lounge space. Staff was nice.

The layout of the hostel is a bit inconvenient. we stayed in the dorm rooms on the 6th floor and the showers are on the 4th floor. There is not a lot of security. No locks or codes on the door to the sleeping area and limited number of a bit too small lockers. Since there was no space to store anything the room felt very cramped and cluttered with stuff.

Amenities with a modern interior and additional features to make the stay more comfortable.

At 190 CM I didn't quite fit in the bunks, and had i known that ahead of time I might have chosen to get a room for just myself. The wifi was separated by floor, so as you went about the building you had to constantly change the connection. Also, the dryer, for clothes, didn't work and my clothes were as wet as when i put them in. I alerted the staff when checking out and they didn't offer to pay me back for the wasted money; 200 yen, but still.

Good location

The dorm rooms need to have a key card system installed as it felt unsafe that anyone in the hotel could walk in and have access to personal belongings. No bag locker in the dorm either. I know noise is expected when staying in a dorm, but there was a very inconsiderate guest during our stay who was talking and making noises throughout the night. This person locked themselves out of the small personal lockers, they contacted someone who works at the hotel who turned up at 1am to unlock the locker, the person that worked in the hotel turned the lights on at 1am and spoke which woke myself and my partner up again. Restrooms need to be cleaned throughout the day, dirty watermarks on the floors.

The room was spacious

For showering and cooking we had to use the elevator and sometimes you have to wait a while

I like how the staff was very flexible, she was able to make changes for me on a last min notice. Thankful for great people like her. She’s from Osaka but I forgot her name. She needs to be recognized for her great service, because it made my stay at Santiago Hiroshima smoothly.

I didn’t like that the bathroom trash bin was already full before morning. Wished there can be improvements done for that by replacing the trash at night so by morning it doesn’t overflow.

Nice and helpful staff the guesthouse is right next to some good areas to spend the night and it is easy to go around Hiroshima.
