Like many properties in Spain and Mexico, this house doesn't look like much from the street--just a door opening directly onto a fairly busy street in this village. But once inside you will find art, books, terraces, flowering plants, painted ceramics, a pool, and a view of the Andalusian countryside that are truly special. Esteban communicated promptly and with kindness throughout the reservation and stay, and his place is one of a kind. Good AC and wifi complete the picture. We'll never forget our stay and were able to make visits easily to both Cordoba and Sevilla.

We loved Esteban’s property. It’s about a 30 min drive from the center of Cordoba and about a 3 min drive from the castle in Almodovar. The house is spacious, clean, well-designed and mixes modern and traditional elements with Esteban’s art pieces. The outdoor areas are very pleasant with expansive patio areas and a fig tree hovering over an infinity pool. You can tell the owners take great care of the property and guests with bouquets of fresh herbs and flowers arranged throughout, a welcome basket and thoughtful amenities. There is parking a 1 min walk from the house and the town itself is incredibly charming and local, a world away from Cordoba’s busy tourist center. Lastly communication was great and we appreciated Esteban waiting up for our unexpectedly very late arrival and helping us book taxis.

Our family of four (two teens) stayed in the lovely home of Esteban for the past two nights. After long hours exploring the historic districts of Córdoba, we welcomed being able to leave and spend quiet evenings and mornings in the house, enjoying the views and life in a small Spanish town. We waked up to el Castillo one beautiful morning (25 minutes, very refreshing); my husband and kids love Game of Thrones and we all thought it was an extremely cool experience roaming around inside. Esteban himself is an incredibly cool, open, welcoming person. We spent a short time in his Taller (studio space) in town. He is a prolific and gifted artist, and seeing his space was a rare treat for people who enjoy art. Living amongst many of his original works in the home was inspiring. Sharing a glass of wine in the living area with heat from the wood burning stove was heaven. If you are in intrepid traveler, willing to forgo the (dreaded) breakfast buffet and cliched snapshots for this very unique and authentic experience, this is a great way to create a special memory.

Nuestra estancia en Almodóvar en la casa de Esteban, ha sido fantástica, su casa es ideal para aquellas personas que buscan disfrutar de un entorno único y agradable, (las obras de la casa son originales del autor) Esteban fue muy comprensivo con nuestras necesidades, nos permitió entrar un poco antes, y salir después hora check-in. Estancia ideal para conocer el fantástico castillo de Almodóvar y la ciudad de Córdoba, ha medio camino entre Almodóvar y Cordoba se encuentra Medina Azahara, con lo cual tienes muchas cosas interesantes a mano. Hemos pasado unos días en familia en casa de Esteban e Isabel donde ha reinado la tranquilidad y el arte. Son unos magníficos anfitriones y la casa ofrece muchísimo más de lo que esperas, no falta de nada. Nos ayudaron a la llegada y nos ofrecieron información turística, fueron flexibles en la llegada y la salida. Almodóvar Del Río un destino a visitar espléndido.Una estancia de sueño. Recomendable al 100%

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour chez Esteban et Isabel. Nous avons participé apprécié l’accueil de nos hôtes, leurs conseils pour découvrir Cordoue et ses environs.

Zeer mooi, karaktervol en comfortabel huis. De kunstwerken geven een extra touch.

Toller ruhiger Ort. Gute Lage für Besichtigungen. Das Haus und der Vermieter sind sehr interessant und nett. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

We hebben een heerlijke week doorgebracht in het huis van Esteban, de aardige eigenaar. Een super leuk, smaalvol ingericht huis met veel kunst, het is heel mooi wat hij maakt. De slaapkamers waren mooi, goede bedden, goede douche en bad. In de ochtend heerlijk vers sap geperst van sinaasappels uit eigen tuin. Het was winter, maar we hebben vaak op het terras gezeten. En 's avonds de houtkachel aangestoken, heel sfeervol. Het was gezellig, knus in de woonkamer en keuken. Het dorp is mooi met vriendelijke mensen. Een goede bakker op loopafstand, autoservicios en een slager/vishandel. De supermarkt Dia was ook goed te belopen, al kon je natuurlijk met de auto gaan. Bij het huis in de buurt is een gratis parking. Het kasteel was zeer de moeite waard , zeker als Game of Thrones fan, evenals het terras aan de overkant. Om de hoek van het huis was de bushalte waardoor je heel makkelijk de bus naar Cordoba kon nemen en snel in het centrum was. Prachtig, we hebben de Joodse wijk en de Mesquita bezocht. Er is genoeg te zien en te doen in de buurt, afhankelijk van hoe ver je wil rijden. Het comfortniveau van praktische zaken in het huis is redelijk basic, we misten een waterkoker, een goed functionerende stofzuiger en haken voor de handdoeken in de badkamer, maar dat zijn details, voor ons geen enkel probleem. Het was er heel relaxt en we zouden het huis zeker van harte aanbevelen!!
