Avoid at all costs! Staying at this property was an absolute nightmare. First of all, the place was filthy. It seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in ages—dust, dirt, and even mold in some areas. The floors and the kitchen ( as well as the back kitchen) were particularly disgusting, with food leftovers in every cupboard and in the freezer. The photos online are completely misleading. The apartment is actually a 2 bedroom and not a 3 bedroom cottage as written. the last "bedroom" is more of a storage/ dining area that is even messier than the rest. Also, do not think about enjoying the garden as it is so full of waste that you can hardly walk in. To make matters worse, the linens were unbearably dirty with crisps and hairs... When I tried to address the issues, the host offered excuses without actually fixing anything. He only proposed a 100£ discount if we didn't leave a comment... What a shame! It was clear they didn't care about my experience at all. This was by far the worst place I've ever stayed in the UK. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else—anywhere else would be better than this disaster.

Nice house but needs some tlc in places. Sitting in the communal garden after a day out was lovely.

Comfortable and well equipped but a bit shabby and unloved. Needs some of TLC.

It's not really luxurious or terribly romantic, but it is very clean, comfortable and functional. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if it was available when we come back, which we undoubtedly will. It is literally on the very functional High Street, minutes from a huge array of restaurants, yet it is completely secluded and quiet like you were in the middle of the New Forest itself. There's a regular couple of deer that hang out on the back lawn of the main house. Across the road, there is a beautiful open area with ponies, cows and lots of space to walk.

Positioned a short distance from the main road, convenient for shops, both a Co-op and Budgens are a short walk away. The cottage is ideally placed for forest walks (3 minutes to Boltons Bench, off Beaulieu Road) or as a base for touring. The cottage was clean and spacious, however some aspects of the decor need refreshing, The Kitchen provides well for self catering and has a dishwasher, however we found that the fridge freezer needs defrosting. The double bed was very comfortable. The lounge is large for a cottage. The separate dining room is a bonus but the dining chairs require updating. Overall we would be delighted to stay again.

The property was in a quiet area of Lyndhurst, just of the highstreet. Very well positioned for pubs, restaurants and shops. The property was well equipped and very comfortable. It is an old property and in need of some TLC in places, however the kitchen is new and bright.
