We totally LOVED our stay at Coral Fern Retreat. It is paradise. The house is magnificent; it feels so solid and welcoming with everything being beautifully furnished and decorated, plus super comfortable beds and all the equipment we could possibly need. The garden and the backdrop of bush really charmed our hearts. We totally relaxed! Barb and Greg are top hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed the added bonus of contact with them. Additionally, the town of Forrest is ideal - small and with the great offerings of the Brewery, Da Teta (Middle-Eastern) restaurant, the cafe/general store, bike hire and many local walks. We very much hope to come back. Thank you Barb and Greg :)

Coral Fern Retreat is a beautiful home in gorgeous, loved, bush forest garden. We loved our stay and would've gladly stayed longer had we had more time - we'll definitely be coming back! It’s rare that a holiday rental surpasses expectations, but this one sure did. Coral Fern is the perfect tranquil retreat from which to explore the magnificent Otways. Everything has been thought of here—the home is immaculately presented with oodles of character, the gardens are exquisite, and if we needed anything (which we didn’t) Barb was only a phone call away. We loved every minute and we’ll definitely return.

Our family had an unbelievable stay at Barb and Greg’s property. The gardens look gorgeous this time of year and visible through the windows throughout the house but really the dining and living area has the best viewing through the tall and wide windows. You could just sit and watch the flowers and the small chittering birds among them. The house itself is kept immaculately clean and free of stains and dust. Barb and Greg adorned the house with fresh bunches of flowers for our visit including welcome card, bottle of wine and chocolates. High end Miele appliances and luxurious bedsheets just to top it off! I couldn’t ask for more. Thank you Barb and Greg for making our stay so enjoyable. We had an EXTRAORDINARY time in the best presented house we have stayed in. There was 4 adults, 1 eleven yr old and 1 thirteen yr old. We all agreed there was absolutely nothing we could criticize and nothing that was needed. The weather was dismal so we had to stay indoors for the 2 days but that didn't worry us at all. Thank you so much.

We couldn't have asked for a nicer house to spend so time away with the family over school holidays. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet getaway to a lovely spot!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The house is homely, clean, well maintained with all the mod-cons and a great fireplace. The property sits away from other houses and is surrounded by greenery, wildlife, and very peaceful. It is in a great location in walking distance to the brewery and general store. Coral Fern Retreat is perfect in every respect. The house is an outstanding gem in the holiday house rental market. It is full of character and lovingly furnished. It is immaculately maintained and equipped with everything you would need for a relaxing holiday. The surroundings are peaceful with lots of bird life, and the coast is only a 35 minutes drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have loved to spend much more time at Coral Fern Retreat.

We loved the house and gardens, it was a proper well kept home rather than a holiday rental. The gardens were amazing and so nice to sit outside in or look onto while inside. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to feel releaxed right away.

This is a truly comfy cottage in which to stay with everything you could possibly need. The decor is exceptional throughout, the beds are so comfortable and the kitchen and lounge room very cosy. It was lovely to come back to the refuge of Coral Fern Retreat after a day exploring The Great Ocean Road and surrounds. Would definitely recommend the property.

A stylish/charming and comfortable stay amongst beautiful bushland. This property was perfect for our family (two adults/two kids). We loved how spacious the house was, it was comfortable along with everything we needed. Super clean property which I LOVED! and plenty of outdoor space including a Hammock, a cubby house, a out door fire pit (which the kids loved roasting marshmallows on) aperfect place to be. We appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle. The decor of the home is gorgeous indoor and outdoor. Such a nice space for everyone to stretch out or meet together on the patio or lounge, this was the ideal setting. We loved our experience here and made wonderful memories. We have just had the most wonderful holiday week at Coral Fern Retreat. This home is immaculate and in complete harmony with its setting- It is light and inviting, with nature visible throughout. The girls loved spending their days outside in the garden, and there are cosy corners inside and out to relax after exploring the region. A real treasure, we are already planning our next visit.

This house provides space for three generations to enjoy a beautiful rural setting. It backs on to the bush, with a garden that allows for private reflection in different areas. There is a ‘little house’ and swing for the children to enjoy. An area in which to play ball, and a relaxing hammock. The house provides all that is needed for a very comfortable escape. The presentation is immaculate.

After booking, Barbara sent us a welcoming email with a wealth of information about the area. On opening the front door, we were enchanted by this beautiful unique and charming property set in botanical like gardens. The house has everything and more than any couple or family would require plus all the little extras. There is so much to do and see in the area. We did the Tree Top Walk, visited the lighthouse but the stand out experience was The Platypus Paddle. Thank you Barbara for giving us the opportunity to stay at your charming manical property.

Amazing place for our weekend stay in Forrest! Host Barbara was wonderful and had thought of every little thing in the house and garden to make our stay peaceful and stress free. The house was beautifully clean and spotless throughout, with plenty of bedrooms for extended family, and we appreciated the welcoming food and drink supplies. Beds were very comfy, great linen, awesome garden and quiet location. Loved that there were enough car spaces to accommodate us all too. Communication about check in and check out was comprehensive and Barbara was very helpful when bookings had to change due to covid.

This is amazing and special mudbrick property. Nestled in a peaceful and private bush setting, everything about it calms the soul. The host's attention to detail is impeccable. My children enjoyed roaming free in the yard and even spotted some sleepy koalas! We hope to return soon.

Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Magic sitting on the back deck under yellow blossom with a drink, listening to birdsong! A fully equipped 4 bedroom house, all you could want in the kitchen for gourmet cooking and a short stroll to the Brewery, general store and restaurant. We would love to return.
