The only thing I didn’t like was there is no wifi.

I booked this apartment for two nights over a bank holiday weekend away, with my husband, son and our 2 dogs. One day prior to arriving booking.com called us to arrange our arrival time which we agreed would be between 2-3pm. The drive to the property was breathtaking. Beautiful scenery which we were looking forward to seeing close up on our walks over the next couple of days. I had found the apartment on google maps and we arrived at 2:30pm. There was no one there so a neighbour called the owner to admit us into the property. When she arrived she was flustered and we don’t speak fluent Spanish and she didn’t speak any English. We gathered she wasn’t expecting us until later on. Anyhow the apartment seemed adequate enough although very cold so we were looking forward to getting it warmed up and settling in. No towels are provided which was a bit of a shock to us but the owner did manage to find us two. She then gave me the bedsheets to make up the beds. Then it was down to business. The price I booked the apartment for was £85 for the 2 nights plus taxes. This came out at around €100. The owner then said it would now be €150 because there were 3 of us. And it had to be cash. Luckily we had the cash on us. We then set about making the beds - the bedsheets were see-through and have seen better days. There was a tiny box of logs to use on the open fire - this was the only heating provided to us to heat a 3 bedroom apartment for 3 days and 2 nights. After a few hours we found an electric heater hidden under a bed. The night time temperatures went down to 6 degrees- it was freezing. We managed to find a supermarket a few kms away that sold us some logs. The heating provided was completely inadequate. The hot water is heated by bottled gas to a lukewarm temperature- it was impossible for me to wash my hair over the weekend in a freezing apartment with cold water. The beds were old and very uncomfortable.
