This hotel is in a quiet location although only a minute's walk from the main square and has parking beside it. It is in a characterful old building, my room was individually and tastefully decorated and had a large shower room. Breakfast was excellent and the management was particularly welcoming and helpful.

A real find - such a beautiful hotel in a perfect location in the centre of the town next to good restaurants and bars. Parking was easy on site - the owner was there to welcome us and take our luggage to our room which was warm, beautifully decorated, quiet and comfortable. We had a huge walk in shower and there was always plenty of hot water. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel for location, comfort, service and facilities. Thank you for making our stay in Saumur perfect!

An olde world charm percolated throughout the hotel from the reception, to the lift, to our room, with its classic decor. However, the bathroom and shower were 21st Century!

The breakfast was excellent. The service too. The room was extremely comfortable with many thoughtful touches.

Faultless.

Great central location and we were able to get into their parking (it’s small so you need to ask beforehand). Breakfast seems pricey but was superb so worth it. Room in old building very lovely and very comfortable bed, and even though next to a church the bells must be the other side as they didn’t disturb us. Was a stopover, didn’t see much as cold and wet, but will be back when weather warmer!

Everything was amazing. The owner was superb. He couldn't do enough for us. His decor with all the horses was fantastic and his service and all the extra touches right from great drinks to novel ideas were just great. Always use this hotel when we come to Saumur and we tell everyone we know to stay.

Very nice property right in the center of Saumur with a 30 second walk to the main square. Staff was always available, friendly, and accommodating with requests. Rooms were good sized, comfortable beds, clean, and nice amenities. There is a small bar and a small courtyard for drinks in the early evenings. Parking is managed by the staff who help park your car, since parking can be a little tight.

Location brilliant central to everything . Thé hôtel was magnificent. So so nice , 10/10 . Room sumptuous, comfortable and classy . The hotel even smelt gorgeous . Breakfast amazing. Definitely recommend it , definitely go back . Saumur lovely, typically french

The location was amazing for walking all over town and to the chateau. The hosts were very welcoming and being able to reserve a parking space was a huge help! Glad that there was an elevator.

It was a rather scary drive up narrow and winding streets to reach the hotel. Wish a breakfast option had been offered.

Beautifully arranged rooms, tasteful but extremely practical. A lot of intelligence and generosity of spirit has gone into this hotel. Warm welcoming staff. Perfect central location with some free parking.

From the moment that we arrived and the host personally helped us to park, we were treated as valued guests. This is a lovely building in the heart of Saumur, with loads of character and features to delight. The interesting and eclectic decor gives it a great atmosphere and the convivial host helps to make the stay a memorable one. His little bar with scores of whiskies and other delights is a real treat after a night on the town. Sound advice on where to eat was appreciated, as was the extended parking to allow us to see more of the town on our day of departure. Our room was small but well appointed with a compact yet very modern bathroom in contrast to the vintage/historic decor of the bedroom itself. We were very happy with this stay and strongly recommend it as being ideally located, good value and a little out of the ordinary - but in a good way! We'd be very happy to return.

Very happy - no issues.

The room and the whole design of the hotel were extremely well thought out and the quality of materials used was of the highest standard. Breakfast was superb even catering for my gluten free needs and there was so much we could have done with a larger table. The location was ideal, beneath the chateau, close to the river and the museums. It was easy to find by car and the parking arrangements were fine. All the staff were friendly helpful and able to provide advice and suggestions.

We love everything this hotel has to offer! The location was central and convenient, the room itself is a luxurious treat, with comfortable beds, beautiful decor, and spacious, tasteful bathroom, complete set of toiletries, as well as friendly staff and nice breakfast! The experience far exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it! It's a gem and you won't be disappointed!

Very homey feeling and super comfy beds and bedding. Each room has it’s own personality. It’s more like a bed and breakfast than hotel. Regis was very attentive. I don’t think you’ll find nicer in Saumur! Great location to explore the town. Great bar service for a nightcap, great breakfast, and romantic patio to relax in.

Parking is tight in Saumur but Regis took care of it for us.
