My husband, another couple and myself stayed 2 nights. The property was easy to find, close to restaurants/stores. We enjoyed hanging out at the house and would recommend staying athis VRBO.

Overall the property worked well. My biggest complaint is that the dishwasher did not clean the dishes and we ended up hand washing all plates during our stay.

Close to Black Canyon Park in a quiet neighborhood. Good choice if you’re staying in Montrose.

Nice location with comfy bed. I would have given 5 stars except for a lot of dishes in the cupboards were dirty which may not be fair as it likely had to do with previous visitors. There was an off putting smell in the living room but then again I have a pretty string sense of smell, but my son did mention it too. Overall a well laid out home with plenty of space for our family.

Beautiful home and it fit exactly what we needed for a weekend of baseball.

Very clean property located in a quiet, middle class neighborhood in the middle of Montrose. Easy walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store. I recommend it highly!

Great location in the heart of Montrose. Very clean and orderly house. Large family room for our young son to play in. All amenities are close by.

Clean, quiet and comfortable.

As I told the owner, we left after a very short time, maybe an hour. The neighborhood was suspect. The house next door had a driveway and lawn full of parts motorcycles and just general junk. There were other neighbors that were yelling at each other. When going inside we noticed a musty smell, looked for the back yard in the pictures and found we had to go through the garage to get to it. We saw the beds and even the larger of the two was too small for us. Again I don’t think the pictures are representative of the property. There are no views of the mountains even though they were heavily favored in the pictures. I don’t usually give negative reviews so I feel bad about this but after reaching out to the owner with my concerns and that we left, instead of apologizing and maybe offering a partial refund I only received a response basically telling me my eyes were lying to me and not the pictures that were in the advertisement. The pictures are not representative of the property.

Nice place to come and go for our daughter’s wedding. Comfy beds and nice big living room. Wish could have have stayed longer to enjoy more of the area.

Beautifully renovated older home in established neighborhood.

Our group consisted of 2 couples and we were on a 10 day vacation working our way through Colorado. We stayed 2 nights at Barbara's place and were very happy with our stay. It is an older home but remodeled beautifully. We were very comfortable and pleased. We would strongly recommend. Thank you.

Nice. Clean. Enough room to move around. We enjoyed breakfast every morning. Their hints on how to keep the house cool were helpful. If in the Montrose area again, would consider staying again.

Very comfortable, quiet and clean!

This home was the perfect spot for our adventure to Black Rock of the Gunnison. It was also close to downtown restaurants and a large well stocked grocery store. Worked out well for me and my family.

House had everything we needed and is conveniently located to Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Neighborhood also connected directly to bike trails which was a big plus for us.

My family spent 3 nights in the purple door house and it was a very nice place to stay while we attended a family reunion.

We enjoyed our short stay. The location was great and let us take advantage of vising the Black Canyon at night to see the stars come out. We couldn't get the grill to work but were otherwise really happy with the property.

Lovely and impeccable property with all the amenities. We were there fir a hiking trip In Ouray. Easy drive to Ouray and Ridgeway.

They place wasn’t clean. It has an odd musty smell. Someone had gone number 2 in the toilet at sometime prior to our arrival and that’s what we were created with when we went to use the restroom. Just not clean. Splatters of old food in the wall behind the kitchen sink. Every lamp had a burned out bulb and I could go on.

This house is clean and comfortable and has everything you need. It is close to everything in town and was a great location to unwind after hiking in the National Park

It was everything my family needed and more for our trip! Will definitely book again on future trips

We've stayed here before and have always enjoyed it. The property is nice and clean and it's very easy to communicate with the owner.

Comfortable accomadation. A couple problems

Had a great time riding motorcycles in the area - Black Canyon and Million Dollar Highway. Property is in a central location and met all of our needs. We had a little hiccup with property but it was resolved quickly.

Easy to find and close to downtown Montrose and grocery stores. 3 BR and 2 baths, laundry room, dining room, and a garage. The property manager (and/or owner) has placed a lot of pamphlets on local area museums, hiking, natural/organic farms and markets, and other local maps/guides/attractions in the dining room and living room, which we found very useful. Definitely recommend the Museum of the Mountain West. Regarding the garage: It was useful for bringing gear, luggage, and food into the house, but the low overhead of the garage door opening will limit parking to small and midsize passenger cars only. Message to Property Management: We love to recycle, but found we could not. Previous occupants and/or cleaning crew had stuffed the recycle trash can full of regular trash.

What a beautiful house, we were fly fishing the black canyon and this beautiful house was the perfect place to rest after a long fay on the water. Impeccably furnished and comfortable beds. Wish we could’ve stayed a few more days. Highly recommend !! Thanks Capt Morris Campbell, Boca Grande, Fl

There was so much space inside; it would be perfect for a larger group. But we loved it. Laundry room was very welcome after traveling several days! Kitchen was VERY well equipped and i prefer a big coffeemaker which they had. Owner was great, features were spelled out in a helpful book, and a sign in book we read only had great comments too. If you're going to Montrose, this house is THE place to stay. Oh and beds were comfy, bathrooms were super nice and the layout of this house is great.

We enjoyed the house very much. Reminded me of my Grandmother's house as in older neighborhood. The house had everything you would want or needed at your finger tips. It was clean, warm, comfortable and quiet. We would stay here again if back that way someday! Thank you for a great experience!
