A spacious inland property for a large group with a wonderful pool and a short walk into the non touristy town of Alaro. Would recommend.

Kan kun anbefale huset i Alaro. Simpelthen skønt, smukt hus med udsigt, dejlig pool og beliggenheden i udkanten af hyggelige Alaro. Vi har elsket vores ferie og vender med glæde tilbage til Margaritas hus. Vores allerbedste anbefalinger herfra Danmark.

Das Haus liegt ruhig mit Blick auf den wunderschönen, recht ruhigen Ort. Im Haus fehlt es an nichts, es ist an fast alles gedacht. Zum Beispiel wirklich ausreichend Liegen, Schirme, Besteck und Geschirr etc. Der Poolbereich ist das Highlight und nochmal besser als auf den Bildern. Kontakt zur Gastgeberin war unkompliziert und herzlich.

Mi familia y yo hemos pasado un fin de año inolvidable. La casa está en un enclave espectacular, en una finca rodeada de olivos y algarrobos. Ya conocíamos el pueblo de Alaró pues somos de Palma, pero no imaginábamos que la casa estuviese en un enclave tan idílico. La casa es muy grande, totalmente equipada. Tiene 6 habitaciones con colchones para todos los gustos. Lo que más valoramos son las dos chimeneas, una en el salón, tan acogedor y otra en la cocina!! que hizo que no quisiéramos abandonar esa estancia, y fue donde hicimos la cena de fin de año y la comida de año nuevo. Tanto Margarita, la dueña, como Francisca, que fue quien nos recibió estuvieron muy atentas en todo momento, y nos dejaron un detalle de bienvenida muy mallorquín. En cuanto a calidad- precio y para el nr. de personas, merece la pena. Si tengo que decir algo negativo, sería el sistema de calefacción, pues quizás para una casa tan grande y en temporadas de mucho frío no sea suficiente. Pero nosotros, tuvimos suerte y durante nuestra estancia no hizo mucho frío, solo notamos un poco de humedad en las habitaciones de la planta sótano, aunque nos dejaron bastante leña y lo compensamos con las chimeneas. En general, estamos muy contentos con Son Borrás y si tenemos oportunidad repetiremos!!!

Die Finca ist hervorragend geeignet für bis zu 14 Personen, sie ist sehr sauber, es gibt genügend Geschirr, die Lage ist toll. Einziger Mangel sind aus unserer Sicht, die fehlenden Mückennetze vor den Fenstern... Insgesamt war es ein ganz toller Urlaub in einer tollen Finca.

We had a lovely stay in Alaro. The view from the house upon the valley ist just great! Even tough we were a big group of 16 people, we had plenty of space. The kids enjoyed the pool very much. It was a great stay.

The pictures doesn’t do the property right. It’s even more amazing. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely rooms, 4 double rooms on first floor all very nice, 2 of them share bathroom. 3 double rooms in the basement (a bit basement smell, but got better after open all doors and windows), 2 of the rooms with integrated bathroom, so you to know one another when staying in these rooms :-), 3rd room is without any windows, so this room is not very comfy. So perfectly the house is for 12 people (6 bedrooms). The house is very clean, beautiful located on the hill above Alaró, but still in walking distance to the main square. Checkin is a bit complicated as the housekeeper only speaks Spanish. This could be prepared better, but good information in English from the owner before checking in. Our best recommendation both of the house and the owner!

Our whole stay from start to finish was amazing. The actual villa is set halfway up a hill, and can prove difficult to find initially due to police regularly closing roads in the small town of Alaro. The villa overlooks this, with stunning views throughout the day or not only the town, but the surrounding mountains also. All of the bedrooms are exactly as you see in the photographs, and of exceptional cleanliness, and with extremely comfortable beds and all of the amenities you would expect (hairdryers, hangers etc). The kitchen has everything you could want and more, and all of exceptional quality. There were 15 of us in our group and a baby, yet the villa still seemed spacious with there being more than enough space for everyone with the two big dining tables, the outside tables and not to mention the big living room. The rear patio is extremely spacious and has a BBQ that we used one evening, and this also offers spectacular views of the mountains and the town of Alaro below. The best part of the villa is the pool. Which is spacious, clean, with ample sun loungers and catches the sun all day. Even more so, this also offers views of the mountains and Alaro. There were plenty of inflatables and balls etc this was great for the kids in the group. We hosted a pool party/BBQ for other family members who were in Majorca also (30 people in total), and there was more than enough room around the pool for everyone. The town of Alaro is a 10 minute walk, and has plenty of nice restaurants and bars to eat and drink. It is comprised of small traditional Spanish streets, Very picturesque. The driveway is several hundred meters and quite a descent - if I could recommend anything it would be to drive your car down to the gate and then walk from there! Margarita could not have been more helpful, arranging hair appointments amongst other things for us before we arrived. We were quite demanding as we were a large family in Majorca for a family wedding, but nothing was too much trouble for her. All in all, I could not recommend the villa and Margarita more- if we ever found ourselves going to Majorca we’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

It is a great place when you are looking for a place with a big familiy or group of friends. Excellent communication with Margarita. I can recommend the Barbecue with Francisca. All was perfect - we had a great week. Thanks.

What a fantastic property! Alaró is gorgeous and this house is the perfect place to reconnect with friends and family- Margherita is very attentive and helped us with any issues we had promptly- we will be back!

Super séjour Très belle vue

This large villa is very comfortable for a group of 12 people. Excellent facilities and good location just outside the town of Alaro. We had a very enjoyable stay and found some lovely restaurants and cafes in the town. The cycling routes nearby were varied and the minor roads were quiet. Hopefully we will come and stay again. Thanks Margarita for all the information.

This is a wonderful villa with great views of the town of Alaro. It is spacious and a relaxing place to spend time . The rooms are as pictured, all very clean and luxurious. It is easy to walk from the villa into the centre of Alaro, which has various restaurants, bars and two .supermarkets. The Saturday market is fantastic for local produce and is well worth a visit.We also arranged to have the Mallorcan meal prepared by Francisca and her daughter.The food was delicious and plentiful and was a great way to end our holiday. Margarita, the owner, was really helpful and very willing to help us in any way to make our stay enjoyable. We were a group of cyclists and the house is set up with a bike stand, pumps, tools etc and also a dedicated bike area as well as a large double garage. For cyclists it is truly a perfect base. The villa is highly recommended and we had a wonderful holiday.

Property was superb, rooms were excellent, plenty of cutlery, glasses, pots and pans, everything needed to cook for a large family as ours. Clean linen and towels for everyone. The only downside was the pool, which would have been amazing as the size and views from the pool area were fantastic, had to ring to ask for the pool to be cleaned as lots of algae at the bottom of the pool and to be fair they did come and clean the bottom of it the next day, we had 2 children with us that really wanted to swim as it was hot and was one of the main reasons why we chose the Villa, afterwards, one of our group who has his own pool advised against swimming in it even after it was cleaned as he said it was still slightly slimy and the ladies of the group would especially have a bad reaction to it, really disappointing as would have thought for the price we paid that the pool would have been "swim ready" ! Nevertheless, I would still book again as the location and Villa were amazing.(Obviously on the premise that the pool was cleaned). Lovely family that greet you too, little English spoke but still managed to communicate sufficiently. All in all would definitely recommend this Villa to a large family/group who want to feel like they are far removed in the hills with amazing views of the Tramuntana mountains, but still be close enough to a village with all the amenities needed, and plenty of restaurants/taverners to have an authentic Spanish experience, which is only a 20 minute stroll away.

We just spent a week over the New Year at this finca and had a wonderful time. We were 12 adults and 6 kids between 1 and 4 years in age. The size of the house fitted perfectly. Margarita and Francisca were extremely helpful arranging everything we needed. The location is great, above the beautiful village of Alaró, and allowed us to enjoy the New Year's Eve fireworks from the balcony. It is also ideal for outdoors adventures, and we had fun hiking, climbing and mountainbiking within short distances. A great place overall!

This is the third year in a row we have stayed at Son Borras which I think speaks for itself! A lovely spacious villa set in beautifully landscaped gardens in an amazing location above the town of Alaro. A real gem!

I spent my 25th birthday here with 14 of my best friends and I can truly say we had the most incredible time from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Everything was perfect and there were no mishaps. We arrived with perfect instructions and the wine cellar was full with a cake on the table. The rooms were incredible along with views. We didn't really need to leave the villa as everything that we needed was there, we only really left to do a food shop in town and to get a drink in town. All my friends also had an amazing time and said it was the best villa they have stayed in. I would 100% recommend this villa for the location and the service that was provided from the moment i booked the villa to the moment i returned home. I will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you Margarita for making my 25th a very memorable one.

We've just returned from our second stay in this beautiful villa and it was just as lovely, maybe even better than the first time! If having a beautiful traditional villa with a sprinkling of contemporary in a stunning location is high on your wish list, then this is the place for you! Located above the pretty town of Alaro (which is walking distance), you have everything on your doorstep. You can even ask the lovely housekeeper Francisca and her daughters to come and cook an amazing Mallorcan meal for you if you don't fancy strolling down into town! We did just that one evening for a birthday celebration and the meal was wonderful! The table was laid for us, the meal was prepared and served and everything was tidied away afterwards - we even had delicious leftovers! All this for €30 a head including wine! Amazing and a real treat! I really can't recommend this beautiful villa enough, it was perfect for our large group of friends and family, but would be equally as perfect for a smaller group. We've already booked to go back again next year! The lovely and helpful owner Margarita always responds to any enquiries or questions quickly and efficiently and is a pleasure to deal with. We are already looking forward to next year! (We stayed in July 2015)

I almost don't want to say how wonderful this villa is for fear of it getting fully booked! We spent our family holiday here last July and wow, what a place! The main driving force for us is finding a villa with enough bedrooms. Six bedroom places are few and far between and to find one which fits this criteria as well as being beautiful, in a stunning location AND walking distance to an unspoilt local village seemed just too good to be true! We weren't disappointed in the slightest. Perfect sized house with plenty of space for lots of different family members to be together or have space to be apart for quiet time and relaxation. Absolutely amazing pool area with views which will make you just sit and gaze at the village and mountains beyond. Great cooking facilities, outside eating terrace and lots of lovely spots for that early evening drink! But for us, the cherry on the cake was being able to walk down the hill to the town of Alaro below. A lovely town with everything you could need plus a beautiful square with just enough restaurants to keep everyone happy! Perfect! A word should also be given to the villa owner Margarita. She was helpful and kind all the way through the booking process and when we had a couple of problems at the villa (through no fault of Margarita or the villa), she quickly arranged solutions as well as not charging us for the lovely local wine we had drunk from the villa's well stocked cellar. A very kind gesture indeed. For the first time in our holidaying history, we got home and promptly booked the villa for the following summe. That tells you how much we loved it! So looking forward to getting back to that pool in a few months time! Thank you Margarita for a wonderful holiday! The Devon crew.

We had a truly wonderful time at the villa in Alaro. The villa is large and spaciouse and easily caters for 15 people. Everyroom is tastefully decorated, high spec and has a well functioning design. Besides that the villa also comes fully equiped with towels, bed linen, internet, games and even its own wine cellar. It felt like a home away from home. My favorite area is the pool area with its beautiful turquise swimming pool, the breathtaking views of Alaro village and the surrounding mountains. It offers total privacy and the nature really gives you a sense of serenity and well beeing. We had a magical experience beeing able to gather as friends in such a stunning setting. What a fantastic house and place. The house is great, every room is renovated and in perfect condition. The property is perfectly placed on top of a small hill with a fantastic view to the small village Alaro. The pool and the pool area is large and comfortable. We stayed at home every day, enjoying the livingroom, the barbegue in the kitchen (yes, the kitchen :-)) and sitting with a cup of coffee at one of the many terraces in the morning, enjoying the view and the silence.
