The property is impeccably furnished and as for location all I can say is Wow. The views are amazing and the whole place seems to be in a time warp with it's relaxed pace of live. Coming from a big city this was a most refreshing change. Yvonne had gone to great lengths to make our stay was special and the unveiling of the cake she had left for us was particularly pleasing :-). The weather for our stay was akin to anywhere on the Costa's. Who wouild think you would go to the east coast of Scotland and never see a cloud and come home with a tan. This all added to the occasion. I would say to any prospective viewers of this property "Book It". From the warm greeting from Yvonne to handing the keys back, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic accommodations, wonderful location, beautiful views. Yvonne the owner was so kind and went over and above to ensure our experience resulted in one of the best vacations ever! We plan to return as soon as possible to lovely Stonehaven and 23 Shorehead. Can't happen soon enough.

We really enjoyed saying at Harbour View. The cottage is tastefully decorated and very well equipped. Yvonne met us at the property and showed us around. The welcome hamper and information on local attractions were much appreciated. Stonehaven and the surrounding area offered a range of attractions and walks.

We stayed in late April. Yvonne met us at the property and made sure we were settled. The crate of treats, cake and bottle of wine was a great touch very much appreciated. My favourite part of the stay was the amazing sunrises looking over the harbour each morning. For the kids it was the freedom to play on the beach with the provided buckets, spades and fishing nets. The property is in an amazing location in Stonehaven harbour a very short walk from The Marine (recommended for food and drinks in the evening) and Cool Gourmet (coffee shop) on the nearby High Street.

We had a wonderful stay at the Harbor View. My wife, my nine year old son and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Yvonne was a perfect host. She contacted us early to tell us of construction and how to avoid it. She was there when we arrived to greet us. We felt welcome and even pampered with all the things she had waiting for us. The cottage is charming and cozy. The views are amazing. I highly recommend the Harbor View. You won't find a better place.

We had the most perfect stay over New Year in Stonehaven. The cottage is beautiful, and so well appointed! We wanted for nothing. The host, Yvonne, had left lots of goodies for us and everything we needed was provided in a welcome pack. We had a couple of special requests and had prompt and helpful replies from the host as soon as we got in touch. I can't recommend this property highly enough. Belgian and Canadian friends who stayed with us are away home to spread the word about this place. Book it...you won't regret it!

This property was absolutely perfect for ourselves and two grandsons for the week we stayed there. Wonderful to waken early and take a walk in the still of the morning to the beach or further into town. Yonne was most attentive and provided an excellent 'welcome pack' which was invaluable after a long day travelling. The property was very clean, tidy and well maintained and we would certainly recommend it to friends. There is no shortage of places to eat and drink in Stonehaven and there are excellent recommendations in the 'house guide' provided

We have just returned from a five night stay at Harbour View, with our two young children. We loved our stay. The cottage is in an amazing location: right next to the harbour, with pubs, restaurants and an ice cream shop just a few minutes away. The market square is about a ten minute walk away, with many quaint shops. A further five minutes along the coastal walk gets you to a soft play, outdoor swimming pool, big play park and The Bay- awarded the best fish and chip shop in Britain. You can walk everywhere, and we often did. The cottage is also just off the A90, so the city centre is easily accessible. We visited Duthie Park and Union Square- about a twenty minute drive away. The cottage is beautiful, with a seaside decor. Yvonne had thought of everything. We had a welcome package with yummy Scottish delights, the fridge was stocked with essentials (and a bottle of wine!), and she'd even left buckets and spades, toys and nets for the children to use. A home from home! My husband works in Aberdeen so we can't wait to return to Harbour View for our next stay. Perfect for a small family. Thanks for having us!

Beautiful property with views to die for. Everything was good quality and spotless. The owner is a lovely lady who made us so welcome. The welcome pack was outstanding. Will definitely be returning.

We stayed in Harbour View House in Stonehaven in July 2016. It's a lovely place, nicely furnished and very cosy. Everything we needed was there: enough cutlery, crockery, towels, teatowels etc. and spices were present. The beds have good mattresses. Yvonne (the owner) had put out a welcome box, which was most appreciated and made us feel quite at home. It's a place I'd like to come more often! The views from the house onto the harbour right across the street are beautiful. And there are lovely walks around the harbour and behind the houses on a boardwalk to the centre of town. Although we had one full day of rain it was not so bad because the house is so well situated and comfortable : there is enough to see just sitting behind the window and looking out. We did go for a bracing walk in the rain up to Dunnottar castle. There are stunning views of hidden bays from above on the way there. We would certainly recommend this jewel to anyone who wants to stay in Stonehaven.

Beautifully appointed property ! Great location - right at the harbour ,whee you could sit outside and enjoy the view! Easy to walk to town and well located for side trips ! We played Stonehaven Golf course - recommend it !! The Dunnottar Castle was a short drive as was the War Memorial - both must sees . Great fish and chips at the Strand . Nice boardwalk along the water for a stroll. Easily walked town with some browsable stores - yummy treats at a few bakeries ! Close to Aberdeen and an easy drive to Balmoral - highly recommend . We absolutely loved our stay and again thank the owner who met us warmly and left a lovely welcoming basket !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was beautifully decorated and in an immaculate condition. It was well equipped and the owners hospitality was over and above what we expected. We would definitely return and would recommend family and friends.

We booked this cottage to enjoy the new year fireball festival and we're delighted with the property. We'd thought it might be small from the photographs but were pleasantly surprised. The owner met us at the house and was flexible about entry times. Finished to the highest standard it is a gem of a cottage right on the harbour front with specular sea views. It was really wild when we were there and it was great to watch the waves rolling in. What made this really special was the attention to detail. Fridge stocked with local cheeses, bacon and sausages. Local beers ready chilled. Welcome scones and jam. The list just goes on right down to a single malt from the local distillery to see in new year, quality books on the shelf including sunset song which is based in and around Stonehaven. Would happily book again although I think new year 2016 is already snapped up. This is how a holiday home should be in every respect. Well done.
