Location

Excellent value and very comfortable

Breakfast was excellent. Location was great, particularly for railway users, with the train station only a few minutes walk away. Despite the proximity of this busy railway line, double glazing and good insulation mean you hardly hear it. Our host Esther was very friendly and jovial, and spoke English very well. The tariff was very modest and made it very attractive to stay here in the glorious Mittelrhein region. Included in the tariff is a compulsory 1.50 Euro surcharge, which gives you a VRM ticket to travel free on trains, trams and buses over a wide area. For just one and a half Euros this offers extraordinary good value.

Creaky bed

Very spacious and clean rooms. The beds are super comfortable. Despite train tracks being close you barely hear it inside.

The price to value excellent. The proprietor is upgrading what used to be a winery, very relaxing place. Close to train, Rhine River trail for walking, biking. A nice terrace in back to catch a cool summer breeze. I was offered a train ticket for Boppard, as well as a museum tour ticket. Enjoyed a second day.

There isn't a 7 day week restaurant or grocery. The proprietor offered a train ticket for the next town and a guest kitchen. Problem easily solved.

Nice location in small village next to River Rhine. Friendly host. Nicely laid out room (twin room-no river view, but quieter). Shared kitchen area. Breakfast available. Next to railway station. Walking & cycling routes available along the valley from the village, also ferries from next stop on railway at St Goar. Restaurant nearby.

Nothing about the property. There was no shop in the village.
