the room was clean and warm ,convieneant access to the bar and access to kettle for the first cupper in the morning .car parking access convieneant. breakfast in morning was good value and freshly made.

Friendly, helpful staff, manageress could not be better but the fabric of the place needs attention. bed linen was clean and fresh but pillows and duvet were disgusting!

Room in need of a good overhaul, chipped paintwork, stained carpets, no curtains only a roller blind which was very frayed, TV signal very poor, could not watch as kept pixilating. Bathroom was full of Mould and smelt really bad. food not good, Chips although cooked were WHITE and unappetising.

Bedroom was right next to the main bar - music booming through the walls until gone midnight. Room was very basic - no remote for the TV: “someone must have stolen it” was the explanation. Mirror in the bedroom was cracked and there were holes in the plasterboard.

Breakfast was very poor cold no cups

I liked the room set up, it was normal and had the basics. It was exactly what we needed, just a place to stay for the night, we were able to enjoy ourselves.

Breakfast (cheese on toast) had less than no effort put into it, and the cheese wasn't enjoyable. Beds we're uncomfortable, chairs we're disgusting and ceiling had water marks. If it was rated at 2-2.5 stars I wouldn't be complaining so much, but 3 is a bit high for what we got. Mainly the condition of everything was the issue, a proper clean would make it better.

Our rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable and gave us a good nights sleep. The shower room was also very clean and the shower was lovely. Although coffee & tea wasn't supplied in the rooms there was coffee & tea in the bar area that you could help yourself too as often as you liked. Our breakfast`s were very reasonably priced and very nice. All the staff from the Manager (Fran) downwards were extremely friendly and helpful. we have already booked again for next October

Staff were very friendly, room was very good and the breakfast was excellent value for money. Car park was suitable but not too obvious to access as it was around the corner through a service station forecourt, but luckily just behind the beer garden so easily got to by foot.
