Bathroom could be a little cleaner but the room itself was spotless.

Location was good and the staff especially Tatiana and Benny were spectacular. The only high point of the hotel.

The hotel room was dirty when we arrived, the breakfast choices especially for vegans was awful and the chef didn’t try to accommodate us at all. Check out policy was not great either and the rooms were infested with Silverfish.

No air conditioning in room , was just a fan but weather was ridiculously hot for Switzerland

Very quiet. The breakfast is very good. The workers carry bags and the maids are friendly. The location is good. The hotel garden is quiet. The elderly can relax in it. The river is behind the hotel.

The pillows were not comfortable, the triple rooms overlooking the river with a balcony were narrow compared to the double rooms overlooking the mountain and without a balcony

Unfortunately, I felt racism. She was an employee in the breakfast restaurant, and she was circling between the tables to meet the requests of those who wanted coffee with breakfast. And I said to her, “Can I have coffee?” So she looked and told me, “Sure.” I waited a lot while serving others, fulfilling their requests, and just looking at me. Then I decided to go out. And I passed by her and said to her, I hope you have forgotten my request only, no more, so her response was that she smiled. She was of East Asian race

They sold us a King bed room and this was 2 single beds put together. Hence I could not sleep properly with my wife. Also 2 separate blankets. I complained 3 times and the lady at the front desk became aggressive. For 700 euros a night: INACCEPTABLE !

Swimming pool wasn't heated and restaurant menu was a little limited - why not some local ingredients - fondue from local mountain cheese, lake fish

The location is excellent, 5-minute walk to the main street, next to the beautiful Aare River, 3-minute walk to the Harder Kulm funicular railway station, and very spacious hotel room with spectacular 180-degree views of the Aare River and the Swiss alps.

I am sorry I have to write to you pertaining to an unfortunate issue that has occurred during my stay at your property . I and my wife had stayed with you recently from Friday 7th July – Sunday 9 July . We had made a stupid mistake by leaving our belonging in the room. I have explained the whole sccenrio to your helpful staff including conversation with Mr. Reeds who suggests that the same concern has been checked with in-house staff manager of house-keeping Ms. Koble. Please allow me to explain the scenario exactly as it happened in anticipation that It might help recover my item. At time of checkout I took some luggage from room to the lobby since we had to catch our train from OST station to Paris. My wife stayed in the room because we tried calling room-service for assistance but our room phone was not working . While I was downstairs my wife tried to manage and bring the remaining items downstairs . In all the rush , she removed a white GUCCI crossover body bag (as shown in image attached ) from the safety box because the bag contained almost 750 Euros cash , her wallet with some credit cards and other documents like receipts etc. from our travelling . She somehow placed the bag on the bed /mattress due to being hasty and left the room with luggage . We checked out and reached Paris , where we checked in the hotel and when she decided to look for her Gucci bag so she could put it in safety locker again , only then she realized that she has had a mishap . We immediately tried calling your front desk. Now, we travel a lot and understand that this is a matter of our irresponsibility , however one thing we are 100% keen on is that she left the bag in the room sitting on the bed. You are aware that the house staff sign-off the rooms when they make them and even identify the person who attended to our room after we left.

The staff was very friendly and helpful - especially the wait staff in the restaurant.

I really wish I had read reviews about no air conditioning! It was sooo hot in our room, and unlike other reviews, we were not given fans. Keeping the window open helped but then allowed in insects. I would probably never stay here again unless they put in air conditioning units.

We absolutely loved our stay. The staff was amazing and very friendly, the breakfast had a great selection, and the location was wonderful. We also really enjoyed the pool. We also had dinner at the restaurant which was excellent.

The room was a bit warm, but fine with the fan provided and opening the window to the balcony.

no way is this a five star hotel. the building and reception are lovely. the rooms are dated. they are clean and comfortable but my room had stains and damage everywhere.

Hotel was a little bit outdated. I realize this may be the charm of the hotel so many people may appreciate this! No AC but we did have a nice breeze where our room was located (may not be the case for all rooms though).
