Lovely pool area and spectacular view

Not a 5* hotel - rooms are dated, bed isn’t very comfortable. The first room we were given wasn’t very clean. Spa isn’t complimentary for hotel guests.

The breakfast was superb, the room with walk in wardrobe was a very good size. The location overlooking the sea was very good but the walk into town seemed a little bit long, apart from that, nothing but high praise.

The breakfast was wonderful and location was great! Not sure why is rated lower by other guests but the hotel has a high end feel and we appreciate the staff attentiveness. We loved that parking was available for free.

The carpets on hallways could use a shampoo wash.

Location was very nice with a great view. Room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was good, but a bit of diversity would be better.

Great location, 10 minutes walk to the Old Town. The staff were all fantastic, so helpful, polite and welcoming. We will definitely stay again when we return to Alghero...

A really lovely hotel made even better by all the super staff we met during our stay. We had 11 nights in a beautiful room looking over the sea at the front. The reception area, breakfast room, bar terrace and lunch/evening restauant are top class, as was the spa. There is a very large swimming pool with plenty of basic loungers for everyone and fresh supplies of towels. A nice 15 min walk to the old town and just 20 mins taxi from the airport too.

As mentioned by others, the area around the pool could do with some landscaping, it's just bare grass leading to a worn out wall & fence. Also a small hedge blocks the brilliant view of the sea from the pool deck.

Nice breakfast. Beautiful view overlooking the bay. A 10-15 minute into the old town. Nice pool area and lovely staff.

At the end of a long days sightseeing, that 10-15 walk sometimes felt 5 minutes too long!

A couple of incidents with staff rudeness let the stay down.

The range of snacks in the pool bar could have been more extensive - it was quite limited

The pool is a fantastic size. The views are lovely. The breakfast buffet is huge.

The air conditioning in the room did not work well. The gym was difficult to find (you have to take multiple lifts and walk along lots of corridors, plus through a door which looks like a fire exit).

I might have rated this hotel a little better if it wasn’t 5 stars. Laminate on the floor in the room which was coming off and very noisy when we walked on it. The closet in my room was literally about 12cm deep, couldn’t put anything in it. No bathrobes. Only a small bottle of water in the minibar.Nothing to do at the hotel. But all of that wouldn’t have mattered if it wasn’t for the completely unresponsive staff. We had to try to get their attention to ask for anything. No one offered us coffee at breakfast, despite the hotel being virtually empty. When we wanted to get massages we were told they were completely booked? Again, empty hotel. We then decided to use the spa zone. The price was about 50€ pp for 2 hours. If you want to use a bathrobe you have to pay for then? In a 5 star hotel? We asked for bathrobes and we were told they don’t have them and we need to get them from reception? We went to the reception and they told us to go to our rooms and wait for them to bring them to us? This took about 20min. The bartender at the pool bar refused to acknowledge my presence until I called him (empty bar and pool). I ordered a couple of cocktails and he acted as if I offended his ancestors or something. We wanted to have some more but honestly we were afraid to ask. The worst experience in our whole trip to Sardegna. Avoid.

The room and facilities were fantastic, beautiful views and lovely pool area. Lovely selection for breakfast.

Access to the spa was quite expensive for guests. There was just one coffee machine for breakfast, which was not very practical.

We had a very clean room with a nice view to the sea. The hotel is only a 10 minutes walk away from the historic downtown. During the breakfasts they offered glutenfree and lactose free options as well.

The spa is not free of charge (which is not a problem as such but we have not seen this information pre booking)

Beautiful views of the sea from our balcony. Our massages at the spa were lovely.

We were not told that the hotel would shut off air conditioning for a certain period of the year. Our room had a full sea view which meant the sun was shining on it most of the day making the room quiet hot. Their initial suggestion to cool the room down was to open the window, but we only had a door and no screen. Not only could we hear traffic all night, but there were bugs coming in. My husband finally went down to the front desk at 4 am and insisted they turn on the AC for our room. They did turn it on and kept it on for the next day for us, but I would hope they update this amenity on their site so that future guests know it isn’t available year-round.

The lobby was sparse and uninviting. The pool area similarly. evening meal was okay - not great

great breakfast , really good restaurant super tasty food and accommodating chefs , but it is the excellent staff that really sets this hotel apart and the reason why I look forward to going back again next year
