Gordon’s Bay is a great location for visiting Cape Town, the Wine Route and east to Hermanus and beyond. There are numerous golf courses and vineyards within easy reach. The house is located in the prestigious Mountainside area and without doubt has the best views of False Bay across to Table Mountain, which are absolutely stunning. The house is large, spacious and well equipped and Daphne made the booking process and arrival very smooth and efficient. If I had to provide constructive feedback I would say the terrace adjacent to the bedrooms is crying out for some seating as it has the best views at sunset. Finally the interior is in need of a new coat of paint to freshen the whole place up and do it justice. Would I return to the property again - absolutely in a heart beat - so I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

The kitchen was modern and well-stocked; clothes washer was handy; both indoor and outdoor furniture were comfortable. Much of the indoor furniture was high-quality wood and deserved care. Neighborhood is upscale, with ample security. Short drives took is to nice beaches and beautiful hikes in nature reserves. Daphne, the manager, was superb. The house has a nice TV, but no cable or satellite subscription.

Our family of four adults and one infant had plenty of space in this beautiful home. It is well cared for and appointed, with comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, a lovely pool, garage parking and a stunning view. Communication before the trip was comprehensive, so we had no worries. I hope to return!

1st Dafne is great and on top of everything. The owner was nice enough to call from England to make sure we were comfortable and had all we needed!!! But the house is great and just as described. Maybe the only negative is when it’s windy the windows rattle. That’s it!!! If you like amazing views..... THIS IS IT!!! So glad we stayed here!

Home met all our needs and was as represented. Great views and quiet neighborhood. Convenient location for visits to wineries. Agent was very helpful and informative.

This house comfortably catered for 8 adults and one child. We had a great view of Gordon's bay and managed to spot some whale and dolphin whilst lounging by the pool. The pool provided much needed relief from the Cape Town heat! The gas braai meant we could cook our own meals and soak up the views as the sunset. If the weather was windy or cool, the was a large dining table in the open plan kitchen/dining/living room with amazing views. The house catered for the child in our party (3 years old) very well as the lounge room situated next to the pool contained many toys and a TV with kids channels. This was a welcome surprise once we arrived! The house was well stocked with all the necessities required; towels, sheets, look roll, washing up liquid, large fridge, kitchenware etc. The agent the we met on arrival was super helpful and was readily contactable with any queries we had throughout our week long stay. Would recommend this property and would stay again.

Lovely enjoyable villa.

The villa was perfect for the start of our holiday in South Africa. Our party was made up of three mature couples. The booking process was very straight forward with excellent communications with Daphne the agent who manages the property. She greeted us on arrival and showed us the villa. Throughout our stay she was always easily contactable for advice if needed. The villa was perfect. The lounge area and kitchen dining area provide loads of space for people to sit together or to find a quiet corner. The villa is very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The terrace and pool area offers a lovely place to eat, take a dip and enjoy the views. The bedrooms are very comfortable with three of them opening onto a huge upper terrace again with amazing views across False Bay towards Table Mountain. It is a pity there is no furniture on the upper terrace to sit and enjoy the stunning views. The villa is just a short distance from Gordon's Bay with its beautiful beach and many restaurants. We tried quite a few and would certainly recommend Zest as a must to visit. We were delighted with the villa and all it and the area had to offer us during our stay. Thank you Daphne for all the help and advice.

We were two couples on our first visit to South Africa. The photos and description do not do justice to this beautiful, spacious and very well equipped villa. Daphne provided a lovely welcome and gave us excellent advice on the nearest grocery store and where to eat. The villa is in a perfect location for visiting Cape Town, the winelands and many other things to do in the surrounding area. Highly recommended.

The house is fantastic and very well equipped. The views are stunning and Gordon's Bay is a great fun place as a base to explore the Southern Cape. The agent was very responsive and helpful. The only issue we had is that as business people the broadband was very inadequate which caused us some stress along the way. The cleaner was very pleasant and efficient and the owners instructions ver helpful. If I was certain about the internet connection I would not hesitate to rent the house again. Ken Symons

My husband and I are South Africans (Capetonians) living abroad but we try to return home every 2 to 3 years, choosing a different part of Cape Town each time. Having discovered 77, I believe we may just put a stop to that practice. Our venues thus far have always been coastal, but never before have we been spoilt with the vistas that this mountainside villa in Gordons Bay offers. To wake each morning to the view offered - one literally feels like one is at sea - and to go to sleep with the lights of the Strand and Gordons Bay twinkling over the Bay in the distance - indescribable! The house itself is spacious and relaxed offering 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and easily sleeps 10 (2 additional mattresses are available). This means that visitors who overstayed their welcome were able to "bed down " for the night rather than having to travel home. The pool area, albeit small, was of sufficient size for our three children to have plenty of fun and the front patio offers easy outside dining facilities, with a gas barbeque for that real outdoors dining experience (for those hardened South African braai folk, believe me the gas BBQ option is a god-send on hot summer days when the men folk would rather relax over a few cold ones than stand around a hot fire testing their manhood). The indoor dining table easily seats 12 - this allowed us to host Christmas Day with all adults seated here and the kids at the outside table, which was moved into the TV lounge (just off the pool area) for Christmas lunch. One last "plus feature" is that there is an upstairs balcony which aside from offering stunning views, also allowed my husband and I some peaceful reading time whilst the kids swam a level lower, easily within ear shot. The location makes visiting the surrounding wine areas (Somerset West, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek) easy, whilst just over Sir Lowry's Pass are some beautiful fruit areas and a little further on is Hermanus for a day out in a quaint South African coastal holiday town (do leave early though). Likewise, travelling further along the coastal road from 77 brings you to relatively unspoilt coastal areas that we would certainly recommend enjoying rather than relying on the costal area of Strand and Gordons Bay, which in our opinion has not developed with the tourist/visitor experience in mind. Both the owner and agent of 77 are guest focused and will go out of their way to ensure your stay is fantastic!

We arrived to the beautiful villa very easily thanks to the excellent directions given by Daphne. The house is perfect for a large family stay (we were 5 adults, 3 kids) and very well equipped and clean. The views are beautiful and we stayed in most nights enjoying the chefs kitchen and bbq area. If you are travelling with kids this house is perfect! Daphne went above and beyond and even organized a crib and linen for my son. While we loved everything about SA its the lovely house i miss the most. We will 100% recommend this to others and hope to come back. Thank you for such a lovely stay! The Torres family.

Thanks to the villa and Daphne, of course, our stay was enjoyable and nearly perfect. First of all, finding and getting an appropriate place was easy and comfortable. We were really surprised when we arrived, as the photos and the description really showed what we saw on site. The spacious villa was very well-equipped. There were enough rooms for a retreat our family of 6 pers. needed from time to time.

Number 77 is simply gorgeous. This house is well laid out and is comfortable and spacious, and the view is as relaxing as it is stunning. I felt so at home here it was difficult to say goodbye. Daphne is a wonderful person to deal with and because of her sage advice on how everything worked, we were able to enjoy the accommodations to the max. Overall, this experience was worth every penny. Villa seventy-seven is a magnificently place to stay. I can recommend this villa to every one! All you need, you find there. From there you have a wonderful few over False Bay.

A fabulous villa with spectacular views of Falsebay. It is a well maintained accommodation with all utilities available. Situated on a good location with respect to the wine district of Stellenbosch and beautiful drives to places such as Franschhoek and Paarl. Also close to many renown golf courses and only a 40min drive to Cape Town. I've visited the Cape many times and this is definitely an accommodation I can recommend.

Our first time in Gordons Bay. We found this beautiful house on a webside and were impressed by the description. When we arrived we found ourselves in a perfect location. Everything was as described in the listing. Very well maintained and clean. We had a good contakt with the lady who was looking after everything and the owner. We can recommend this to everybody! A house with a view.

The property is beautiful, with stunning views of the Cape False Bay. We were a family of 5 with teenagers and everyone found everything they needed in the house and around. It was our first visit in the Cape Town area and we really enjoyed it. We'll go back.
