Nice location with a good view of the marsh from top deck and decent furnishings. The house was rather dirty, fridge leaks, and the water stands in the carports because of poor grading. The carpet on stairs from entrance to second floor is badly soiled and smells. Rest of the hard woods on second and third floor are fine. VRBO sent us the wrong door code, and the owner took a day to respond to our requests for alternate instructions. We had to shimmy through a second floor window left open to get in the day of arrival. House needs work, and VRBO and owner need to get their act together.

We had a wonderful stay on St George Island! This vacation property is in a perfect location for a short walk to the beach and beautiful views of the bay. The back of the property is adjacent to preserved land and was great for watching the bald eagles, great blue herons and song birds. The screened in porch is tree top level. The house had everything we needed from a well appointed kitchen to yoga mats and beach chairs. The beds were very comfortable and provided a much needed rest from real life. Beautifully decorated and “beachy”, It is a well used unit and showed some age and use. We were very happy with our stay and look forward to the possibility of another visit.

Great, quiet neighborhood. Property was clean & comfortable. Nice area to walk our dog. Convenient to all amenities on the island. We had a great stay!

Quiet area away from the main hub but close enough to enjoy all the amenities. Clean and very accommodating owners, responded quickly to any questions. The place is beautiful!

We really enjoyed our stay on this double lot—on the screened in porch you felt like you were up in the trees overlooking the bay. It seemed quieter than other houses that are closer together. We enjoyed cooking fresh seafood in the kitchen! We brought a few kitchen essentials expecting a typical rental kitchen, but it was very well stocked. The location was great—just a very short walk to the beach. Our only wish was for an outdoor shower (don’t worry, there was a hose to rinse off your feet)!

This was a perfect spot to get away and relax. The house was exactly as described, with no surprises. Easy access to the beach and to town. St George Island is our new favorite spot.

We loved this house! The view is incredible. It was quiet and peaceful, clean and comfortable. Everything we hoped it would be!

The view of the Apalachicola Bay was amazing; bed was very comfortable; kitchen pans & tableware were good. Now.....we all know the carpet on the steps need replaced as it holds in an odor when coming in the house, not to mention stains. The wood laminate has been cleaned with a cleaner that has left a build up and were very dirty. We wore shoes in the house as the floors had a sticky feel and my granddaughters feet were black from them (except bedrooms- I mopped them 3 times) Living space on top floor was uncomfortable as the furniture was broke & dirty (I covered with sheets) During our 3 week stay we had a few cold & rainy days so they was no lounging on that furniture (thank goodness for a great bed) We just wanted to come back to the house and feel at home. The mold in the area heading up to the roof needs addressed. There should not be mold in any home. (The view from the roof was amazing) This house needs some TLC....paint, strip the build up on the floors, something different on the stairs, new living room furniture and an updated dryer. When asked if we would rent this home again, we said no. We were very disappointed that the pictures online are not what it truly is. This house has potential, it just needs the owner to actually do something about it.

I have been going to SGI for 30 years and have rented probably at least a dozen times and Bay Dreamin’ absolutely ranks in my top two favorite places we’ve stayed - and I will definitely stay here again. I’m even a little hesitant to give it a great review because that might mean more people will rent it, making it less available to me when I want to return 😂. The views of the bay are great, and there’s easy public access to the beach within walking distance. The place has been mostly updated (bathrooms, decor). Most of the place has vinyl flooring which felt so clean. Yeah, it could use fresh carpet (where there is carpet) and fresh paint and a few minor updates here and there, but otherwise, everything was really spotless. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to entertain friends one night, and plates and glassware were in great condition. I just can’t brag on it enough. It was a great place to stay and we can’t wait to go back.

This marshfront/bayfront property is on a quiet back street...we watched eagles, egrets, herons, etc. off the back porch. It's an older property (circa 1990), but was very clean...I spilled a couple of drips of water filling ice trays (no ice maker), and the paper towel came back damp but no soil whatsoever. Communication with the owner was great. We'll be back.

This a beautiful place in a great location. The online photos accurately match the property, and were the reason we picked this rental. It looked perfect for us. But what the photos don't show are some sloppy cleaning and maintenance issues. We arrived in the darkness and had to feel our way around to get inside because there is no outside lighting. The housekeeping is fine for just a quick cleanup of the bathrooms and kitchen. However, the place needs much more attention. The windows are caked with dirt, the decks need to be hosed down, and the outside furniture all needs to be cleaned. We found a dirty ashtray and half a pack of cigarettes left on the lower deck, along with lots of mold and mildew. As for maintenance, there is a missing smoke detector on the second floor, several burnt-out lights, and many signs of wear and tear. Granted, this is a pet-friendly rental, so some wear is to be expected, but the general maintenance of the place is lacking and reflects poorly on the owners and/or the property managers. Despite all this, we still enjoyed our time here and were happy to explore this beautiful island.

Lovely home! Great location!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. The location is awesome and the house has a wonderful back screened in deck that overlooks the bay. It is dog friendly, which is a bonus for us, but is also obvious pets stay here. Overall, it is a great house but could use a little updating. I would recommend this home for anyone who has pets and loves the bayside of St. George. Thanks for sharing your beach house

This place was a disaster. I have never seen such disgusting carpet as in this house. Everything she advertised as an amenity was trashed. The outside had junk everywhere including a shed that was literally falling down with all her run down amenities in it. The golf cart was literally rusting apart & in horrible condition. Went so slow. I have been using VRBO for years & right now I don’t think I will use them anymore considering the condition of this property & the total non communication from the owner & how this was allowed to even be advertised or even rented for that matter. All my paperwork had a rental company’s name on it & I find out the day before we get there that he’s not managing it anymore, say what? I had emailed the seller weeks before arrival several times asking questions about the golf cart & who I was to give a deposit to & If could do an early check in. She finally emailed me back a few days prior to my arrival telling me her golf cart had been stolen but there was another one there I could use. Never answered any other questions. The golf cart was so bad my teens were embarrassed to be seen in it. When I arrived for early check in (because no one would get back to me all I had was the owners email & a companies phone number that did not manage it anymore).When I walked into the disaster the carpet smell hit me so hard I couldn’t believe I was going to have to stay in this nasty misrepresented house for a week. Then to find out when I get there it is was misrepresented & I way overpaid. Literally this lady has done 0 maintenance on this house. I ended up calling the company that use to manage it & he cleaned the carpets & made sure the house was clean. You can only do so much to this run down shack. I did not let the condition of the rental spoil my time on this beautiful island we just stayed away as much as we could. So sad that an owner would rent a house in this kind of condition & misrepresent to get top dollar for it. I have never written a bad review for any property I have stayed in from VRBO but this is ridiculous. I don’t even know if the house was even going to be cleaned if I had not called the rental company who knows if it would of even been cleaned.

The downstairs door needs replacing, and the were caterpillars everywhere. Everything else was great.

I felt that the cleaning crew needs to step up their game we left it cleaner then received, carpet on stairway was nasty and stained up holes in the wall behind door not what you expect for that kind of money, shower half clean - nasty rag hanging over the curtain rod washcloth covered in body hair, windows so dirty couldn’t see out. But after we got settled, Enjoy the property very much! Thank you.

Beautiful location and great views from every room - we even had a heron's nest in the "backyard"! Wonderful beachy furnishings and very comfortable beds. We loved being able to bring our 2 dogs and the golf cart was a lot of fun. Only negative was that the pull-out couch didn't pull out. We contacted the property manager to see if they could fix it, but didn't hear back until the day we were leaving. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience and we would definitely stay here again!

This was our third time staying at this property. I think it gets better every year. The property is beautiful, the house is clean and welcoming. Everything you need to cook a tasty seafood dinner or close to Restaurants and the golf cart will get you there without having to get in and out if your vehicle. We will be back next year!!!

This house has everything you need to have a great experience!! Roof top views and wild life!, And then you can take the golf cart to the beach !!! We saw dolphins every day. The bayside is so fun to explore.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Our favorites were the gorgeous view, golf cart, easy access to the beach and convenience to town. The beach was very private. We felt peacefully secluded yet close to everything. The home was very comfortable. A few suggestions: In the main entrance a few wall hooks would be great for dog leashes, jackets, etc. There was also a hole in the wall as you come in which looked to be from some sort of repair? The carpet up the stairs could use a good cleaning. (I am sure keeping the carpet clean as a pet friendly rental is difficult). Once you get upstairs to the living area however the decor is lovely. We really enjoyed the porch and watching all the wildlife. A new fridge would really improve the kitchen. It works fine but appears to be rusting on the outside which makes it look dirty. Other than that we loved everything about Baydreamin and plan to return!

Our second trip to BayDreamin' did not disappoint. We hope to be back again VERY soon.

Loved our stay here! The golf cart was great for driving around the island. So nice to hang out on the screened in porch and enjoy the back view.

The property was fine, since the weather was bad we spent a lot of time inside.

This was a great getaway. The living area (kitchen and living room) are on the top floor making it the area with the best views of the bay. The bedrooms are on the lower level and still have great views. And the Gulf side beach was a short walk or golf cart ride away. We went over there every day to walk the beach. It was cold and rainy some days, but we made the best of it by relaxing on the beautiful screened porch.

Beautiful home with phenomenal view of the bay which made for perfect bird-watching including daily visits from the bald eagles! Nice to have two bedrooms each with king-sized beds and very comfortable mattresses. Well equipped kitchen for basic cooking but thoroughly enjoyed the local fare and restaurants. BayDreamin really was a dream. Fantastic place for wildlife viewing and bird watching. The unit was very clean and Jennifer was great to communicate with. It was secluded but still a short walk to the beach.
