nearly everything…… terrible service. facilities not working. could hardly sleep coz of other guests who blasted music and screamed all night. no SOP’s observed AT ALL🤔🤔

The lodges are spacious, well decorated, very comfortable and with a stunning view on the lake. The staff is really kind and very helpful. We particularly appreciated the special touches like the heating pad put in the bed and the fact that the lodge was tidy when we returned from dinner. Other advantages of Crater Safari Lodge are the calm and silence of the place, great food and the beautiful main lodge.

Wifi doesn't work very well

Beautiful place, with a fantastic view over the lake. The local staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are simple, but big and clean, with a huge terrace. Water was warm. Bed was good, food as well.

Google Maps leads you in the middle of nowhere. Instead you should follow the sign on the main road. Charging of phones and laptops is only possible in the main house as well as using a hairdryer. Energy in the rooms is just for light. Wifi is only available in the main house. The mobile network (3G) worked very well. Although claimed on booking.com, paying by Mastercard or Visa card did not work at all. The phone call with the boss, Barbara, was unnecessarily harsh and full of disrespect. Since she refused to accept a bank transfer, we eventually paid by using DPO (expensive). Due to this behavior we will never visit this lodge again.
