We stayed for 4 nights in October. We were a party of 8 - four adults, and kids ranging from 11-17. The house has a gorgeous view of the mountain and is a very short walk to the Muir Beach Overlook, where you can view beautiful sunsets. The location worked well for day trips into San Francisco and up the coast. The roads are very windy so I recommend arriving in daylight. We had plenty of room for my sister’s family to visit and play charades. Hosts were very responsive! They have a great play area and my kids loved playing school. They also made a movie on the deck. Lots of space to spread out! We didn’t feel cramped at all. There is a long staircase to get into the house, and a lot of stairs in the house, so keep that in mind if that is an issue to you. Overall, a great stay.

We stayed here with 7 adults and that was the perfect number of adults. Could have more if others were children, but I would say that is max as far as adults. Home was clean and beds were comfy. Well equipped kitchen and beautiful deck. It felt luke you were at home. A couple things, these are not negatives, just for those travelling to be aware of: There are steep stairs to enter the house and while close in miles to Mill Valley and San Francisco, it is a really windy road to get in and out. Both things completely doable but if you have mobility issues or get car sick be prepared. If your purpose is to visit Muir Woods and Stinson Beach, the location is ideal. The views from the Muir Beach Outlook, just across the street, are breathtaking. The hosts are amazing and great communicators.

Beautifully appointed home. Owner very responsive to questions and gave us wonderful suggestions for restaurants and activities in the area. Lots of light. Open kitchen/dining area. Wonderful view of mountains from the deck. Comfy beds. Generous bath products. Huge dining table for visiting and playing games. Great getaway close to Muir Woods , and 80 pictures but convenient to city of Adan Francisco as well.

We had a wonderful time exploring San Francisco and the area around. This location was nice with the park and beach so close by. The house had everything you would need and the beds were very comfy.

We absolutely LOVED staying at this house and the kids are already asking when we can go back! Hosts were super helpful with recs for local restaurants and activities, as well as troubleshooting questions, and checkin and out was easy. The house was super cozy with the most incredible views, lots of great amenities AND toys / activities for the kids. Oh and the kids’ bunkbed/loft room was a HUGE hit! The location is RIGHT next to Muir Beach Overlook, Owl Trail and Slide Ranch, and about a 20 minute drive to Mill Valley, so we felt like we had a peaceful spot tucked away and surrounded by nature, but were also close enough to town that whatever we needed was within reach. A wonderful time!

This home is centrally located to exploring the San Francisco area and accommodated our family of eight. The beautiful Muir Beach overlook is just steps away from the front door, while other attractions like Muir Woods and access to the coastal California highway are mere minutes from the house.

We really enjoyed our time at this lovely home. It is well equipped with everything we needed and we found it very comfortable and cozy. The hosts were also very responsive and helpful. It's located near the Muir Beach Overlook so we could watch the sunset at a picnic table by an ocean cliff each evening ... and the house has a deck with a wonderful view facing the hills so the early risers in the family could also watch the sunrise. (The pictures don't do it justice; the view is better and the home is bigger than the photos indicate.) We were seven people - five adults and two kids - and we had plenty of room. We saw a family of quails on the hillside, right off the house deck. And we really enjoyed watching the fog roll over the hills. While the rest of the country is experiencing a heat wave, we enjoyed perfect weather - foggy mornings and sunny afternoons. Muir Beach is 20 minute hike down the hill; or a 5 minute drive (but get there early, as the parking lot fills up quickly). We had a great time and would love to stay here again.

Overall the place was nice and clean, nice view, nice beds et al. However, in the listing there were no pictures of the treacherous stairs leading down to the property from the street. (30+? at a very steep grade) My 85 year parents could barely get up and down them to enter or exit the property. One step, wait, another, wait.... We all struggled as well to carry a case of water, a cooler, large luggage. It was quite harrowing. The hand railing was wobbly and I cannot believe this was not mentioned or shown in the listing. Owners were very friendly and accommodating, again place was clean but there are SO MANY STAIRS at this place.

We enjoyed our stay! The location was great, but the internet was weak.

Great place for our family of 5 adults and two toddlers! Large first floor bedroom with en-suite bathroom was ideal for the little family with its crib room and spacious area and lots of windows. Upstairs bedrooms allowed for privacy and comfortable beds. Kitchen and bathrooms are all updated and exceptionally clean. The very large open main floor had spectacular views and many seating areas for smaller conversations yet large enough for all to gather. We had one dinner party for 12 and the home accommodated our guests well the two decks are amazing: lots of space to take in the gorgeous Mountain View. The location near Muir Beach Lookout was an added delight-a two minute walk to see the ocean from the highest point around The toys for the kids were a highlight for us! These two little ones were fully engaged and entertained allowing their parents much peace. About a 30 minute trip into Mill Valley if you are not used to driving on curving but beautiful mountain roads. We had five great nights here

My friends and I stayed here for our annual ladies’ weekend and had a great time. The location of the house is fantastic. It’s just steps to the Muir Beach overlook with gorgeous views of the ocean. Muir Beach is a short drive away and Mill Valley is only 20 min. by car. We all enjoyed doing the short hike from the overlook to Slide Ranch. Hiking in Muir Woods was also beautiful. The house was very clean which we appreciated. The kitchen is well-stocked and the view from the dining room and deck is lovely. The beds were comfortable and the house had many nice amenities included. Highly recommend!

Felt like home, all the things one needs are there to be used. Cozy, comfortable, perfect location. Tide pooling, hiking, sunset viewing, wandering the paths, board games, cooking meals together, spending quality time together. The best week.

Beautiful and quiet property with great hiking trail across the street and easy trip into San Fransisco and Marin headlands. Greg and Deb were welcoming and excellent hosts!

This is an amazing property for all occasions. We had six friends celebrating a milestone birthday, and we all had plenty of room to move about and/ or cook and eat. The convenience of the Owl Trail expands the house further. The deck is expansive and was a great gathering point between the storms. Kitchen very well equipped. Very new and large fridge/freezer with plenty of ice for us all. We are all Beatles freaks, and so are the owners. We added some songs on our guitars to keep the memorabilia happy. Great WiFi. Just a perfect house for the weekend.

Property and location are unbeatable…Communication with host was always punctual and accurate. We are already planning our next stay here. 5 star all the way!

This property has a fabulous location for nature lovers, and is also a good choice for children. For toddlers who cannot yet navigate stairs independently, you may wish to bring a portable gate to make sure they don't wander too far and get into a precarious situation. Also, if stairs are difficult for you, be aware that the stairs going down from the road to the front door only have a railing on one side. The kitchen is well-equipped to cook for a group, and the other common areas are quite comfortable!

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay here! The house was perfect for our family - the kid toys and crib were a big bonus! Greg gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat around town. We would love to come back and stay here again. Highly recommend!

Our multi-generational family of 9 loved our stay. The house is sparkling clean, the kitchen is beautiful, and there are many, many wonderful walks.

We visited with my 18 mo old daughter, in laws and sister in law. It was perfect house to bring a young kid. She loves all the toys and the house was well appointed for her. One thing to note- there's no door on the closet nursery, I'm sure for safety/code reasons. Our own house kitchen is under renovations so we used the house to celebrate an early Thanksgiving with family. The house had a nice kitchen and everything you would need to cook a nice big meal.

This was a well equipped home for a group. The three bedrooms were all well supported for 3 couples. We had one-year-old and set up is the master bedroom closet (crib, diaper pail). There are a lot of stairs, so it would be a challenging house if anyone has mobility issues. Location is great views and not a far drive from the beach. You don't have grocery stores nearby so highly appreciate the kitchen as well equipped with hover quality pots and pans, knifes, etc, than you see in most VRBOs. It made our group cooking easy.

We rented Greg’s place for a wedding ceremony we were having at the near by overlook! It was everything we wanted and more and very comfortable and had everything we needed for our large group of family and friends staying there. Our only regret was that we didn’t book more days here. Muir Beach is an amazing community and this home was exactly what we needed for our stay. Would stay again anytime!

We had 2 houses in Muir Beach for the weekend and chose this house for a dinner. A wonderful time was had by all and the wedding at Slide Ranch came off without a hitch despite the fog. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was the gathering spot. Thank you for sharing your house.

This was a lovely home with a well appointed kitchen and amazing deck that we enjoyed very much. The quick walk to the overlook is a big bonus and a must do for anyone that stays in this home. Communication with the owner was simple and responses were timely. Not that we had any issues, just questions. Just be aware that there are a lot of steps to get into the home from street level. My in laws were able to navigate them at a very slow pace. I would absolutely stay here again!

The property was ideal to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday with our adult children.

Property was spacious and well provisioned. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and enjoyed our week stay in this unique one of a kind house. Host was responsive and friendly before and during our stay. Plenty of bedding, towels and other basics provided. Nice deck overlooking the valley.

Location was amazing! Loved being so close to Muir Beach, overlook and the trails. Had lunch in Mill Valley a few days (15 min drive) and grilled out a couple nights and enjoyed the view off the deck.
