A wonderful spot to spread out and watch some whales. Great restaurants just steps away in town and plenty of things to watch and do. Would love to visit again soon.

Upon check-in, we immediately sent an email to report damages due to water intrusion. The unit itself was in ok, but definitely on need to repair. The washer in the unit didn't work and the attention to detail of cleaning was slacking. I feel like the leak after seeing it has been an ongoing issue, but isn't being fixed or cared about. The toilet upstairs seemed to have an ongoing issue with the chain being caught in the flapper allowing it to continue to run also. The showers in the unit had the water pressure of a fire house, but the hot water definitely didn't last very long. The shower heads themselves sprayed water everywhere also. While the view was great, I definitely wouldn't stay in this location again unless all issues were taken care of.

We really loved the location with amazing views of the bay from your balcony, and the unit itself was clean and had what we needed. My only complaint was that the wifi didn’t work (we were given an incorrect password). When we contacted vacasa about it they said they would escalate with the local team but nothing ever happened, no one reached out to actually help us get the correct password.

Great location with clear view of the bay. Very spacious and full kitchen was well stocked with utensils.

This place was nice. However, I was not impressed with the cooking utensil no fry pan, no pot to boil noodles. We had 7 ppl and slept well. Hard beds (I like that) but nice soft pillows ;) only one parking spot but sleeps 8ppl ??? We had to use two vehicles.

Perfect size for our group. Great amount of seating in the living room. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook. Cleanly and spacious. Easy check in and check out. The deck needs a few new chairs as there were only two out there and one of which was completely broken. A couple of the beds could use a mattress topper to add comfort and new pillows. We loved looking right into the bay all day and seeing lots of whale spouts and tails! We will definitely be visiting again.

The gas fireplace was inoperative and bottom fan vents were completely clogged with dust. Baseboard heat was only just adequate capacity. Water heater was only adequate for 1.5 showers, in a property that sleeps 8. Clothes dryer required 3 regular cycles to dry properly. Upstairs shower door rubber trim broken. The TV was over complicated with. In adequate operating instructions for entire property. Spoke with phone helper who was unable to help us with fireplace.

For visitor security, front door should have security prep hole. Main floor bath should have handicap bar near toilet.

Great location. Rental above the shops on the main strip. One parking spot off street.

The Review: We recently stayed one week in the Whales Getaway. While the ocean views are absolutely amazing, this condo desperately needs updates immediately. First is the walk thru closet in the main floor bedroom. The smell of dog urine smacks you in the face. We quickly moved our clothes to another room. The closet has sheets and bedding stored there. It was so bad! In a pet freindly home carpet is not a good idea. Pull the carpet out! The other immediate issue is thee living room sofa and chaise lounge. It's completely broken down. There is no comfortable seating! It's extremely uncomfortable. This can be an amazing vacation home! And with changes we would be back. Also, on the deck add a couple if chairs and small table. To be able to enjoy coffee in the mornings and sunsets in the afternoon wild make this place amazing. The washer quit and a repairman came. The motor was shot. Please, look at this place. It's in desperate need of updates. From reading previous reviews it's not just us.
