We really liked the location. Closets to everything: restaurants, markets and to the beach. The apartment was very well furnished and beautifully decorated.

We stayed (self catering) at Sun Pine Park. In a beautiful spacious , clean 2 bed and 3 bath apartment with everything you need for a short or long break. Good quality WIFI - a must if you have children with you. Apartment was fantastic and the hosts Vanessa and her staff Fatima and Paula were great. It would have been nice to have had a few more of the essentials items left to cover guests until you find time to get to the shops. E.g toilet paper, tea bags/coffee milk, we needed more towels. The complex had 2 pools. Location: The beach: Falésia Beach 5/10 min walk. Great beach 🏖 - no eating places nearby so you have to pack a picnic/drinks. Buy a parasol it’s cheaper (€11-€20) than renting daily. (€15 all day or €8 half day). Shops/mini supermarket and restaurants etc all a couple of minutes from the complex. If you can walk go to the next complex - Inter Marche is their local supermarket and was brilliant as it had everything you need for self catering. The area is broken into clusters of apartments and hotels all roughly 10 min walk apart. All have their own groups of shops & restaurants and worth the walk especially as some are more reasonably priced. The closest busier area is Alhos de Aqua at around a 20-30min walk again worth it - lots of bars/restaurants and shops. You can then walk to the beach and walk your way back to the complex via the beach front or Uber it. The best place for shopping and beach is Albufeira but you need a car to get there 20 min drive. Or you can walk if your fit enough. A beautiful place we couldn’t fault the apartment and hosts. The Portuguese are lovely people we would definitely come again.

These are individually hosted apartment so make sure you get your Lot and apartment no’s from your host before arriving. Our host didn’t provide Lot or apartment no so we had to ring and wait around. We were dropped off at the entrance and our apartment was at the far end. Not easy to get around with suitcases. 🥵 No signage to direct you to your apartment. The complex needs better signage. Reception only manages the rules!! They refused to let us take a photo of the plan of the complex to find our apartment!! I should note that the reception manages the complex and has nothing to do with your booking/host. They also advised we couldn’t use the kids play area - host said we could - we finally found it but decided it wasn’t worth it. No floats allowed in the pool which staff zealously enforced. No walking on the grass either!! Staff at the complex not helpful at all only there to enforce the rules. Tennis courts not ready and the back of the complex is fairly wild as construction hasn’t yet been finalised. Large 3rd swimming pool also not ready. I noticed groups of children playing outside their apartments in the evening as there was nothing for them to do. There was security stopping the kids from going anywhere. The complex needs to address this and cater for teenagers if they want to keep all residents/guests happy. Not the family friendliest complex I’ve stayed at. Location: It is quite remote so you need a car to get around. There isn’t any public transport available. We either walked or caught an Uber. Local shops were over priced €24 for pair of flip flop. Keep on walking to the next group of shops and you’ll find cheaper places.
