This house was just what our family needed! The house was very comfortable and close to a great specialty market and great restaurants and bars. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals. There were also plenty of paper products and trash bags available for our entire stay, which was very thoughtful of the owner, Ken.
What we loved most about the home was its location. It was perfectly situated, being only about 15 minutes away from Boyne Mountain. Although we didn't have snow in the city, the mountain had a few slopes open. Our family spent a couple of days at Avalanche Bay, an indoor water park at Boyne Mountain.
One of the highlights of our stay was the hot tub and grill that the home had. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a long day of skiing or exploring the area. And the grill was great for cooking up some delicious meals.
Another thing we appreciated about the home was its proximity to many excellent restaurants and shops in Boyne City. We were able to walk to most of them, which was very convenient.
Finally, I would like to mention that Ken, the owner of the property, was extremely responsive and accommodating every time we reached out to him. He was proactive in his communication before our stay and was always available to answer any questions we had during our stay. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely choose to stay at this place again!

Loved this beautiful restored home. Walking distance to shops, food, lake was a plus. The owner really provides everything you need - kayaks, other recreational equipment, toilet paper/paper towels to last the full week (this drives me crazy with some rentals), QUALITY cookware for preparing meals (frequent frustration with rentals). We accidentally locked ourselves out and the owner was there to get us back in quickly. Very friendly and helpful! Would definitely pick this location again.

This is a wonderful vacation property, in a beautiful neighborhood with so many great things to see and do from the beach a short walk, to the many food and drink establishments, you will love your stay

This was the most well-equipped house and the location is unbeatable. A quick walk to the beach & splash pad, perfect for our 2 yr old. 5 min walk to Charlevoix Coffee and downtown Boyne, amazing for the whole family. Highly, highly recommend

Good place to stay in town for a winter break to Boyne Mountain. Quick 10 minute drive to go ski. Easy walking distance to all the restaurants in town. Plenty of room for a family of 4 to spread out when needed and room to be together when we wanted.

The home was the perfect size for our family. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need if preparing a meal, plenty of paper products and Kcups for the entire stay. The home is about 15 minutes to Boyne Mountain and around 40 minutes to Highlands which was perfect for the skiers in our family. The home is walking distance to many great restaurants and shops in Boyne City. The owner was very prompt when we reached out. We would recommend a stay here and will be back someday!

Great loction to walk around town. Plenty of room for 3 adult couples. Furnished beautifully. Plenty of towels, kitchen was well supplied with cooking accessories. Would definitely stay again. Would highly recommend.

We very much loved the location of this vacation rental. It is within walking distance to restaurants, ice cream shops, marina, parks and many other shops. Lots of live music. The rental itself is clean and well stocked. Communication with Ken was easy.

Had a fantastic stay with family and friends (visiting from England) and in their words everything ‘was just lovely’! The house was very clean and super convenient to walk to the lake or town or just go for a nice walk. Boyne City is a beautiful little town.

We stayed for late season skiing with our kids (6/8).
The house is perfectly set up for 2 families or more than just the 4 we had. 2 bedrooms down stairs (one with bunks) and 2 up. Bathroom on each floor. Kitchen was small but had everything we needed and more - and we made several meals at home. My only thought for the house would be one more TV maybe in the upstairs sitting room.
Ken was east to reach and very good about answering questions.
This house is walking distance to everytring in town and only a short drive to the mountain. You should stay here … just not on the weeks we want to return. 😂

We stayed here for a Boyne Mt. Family ski weekend and couldn’t have been happier with the home and location. Prime location close to hiking trails for our morning hike with the dog and close to the stores, brewery /pubs, and lake. 10 mins from Boyne Mt. The home is historic and so charming. Beds were comfy and the house is well equipped with everything you need. Ken was very accomodative to our needs. We would definitely stay here again. I bet it’s wonderful in the summer.

The property owner has thought of everything for this place. For the first time, we didn't wish we have a specific utensil, item, etc. Ken is very contentious and attentive. We will definitely be back.

This was a truly enjoyable experience for my family and I. We recently sold three of our rentals (one of which was mainly used as a weekend home) located on Boyne Mountain. Was uncertain about renting at first, however, that quickly subsided as soon as we entered the property. Very clean, well stocked and organized. Plenty of room for the family and the location was GREAT! Everything was walkable in Boyne City. That coupled with a quick drive to the mountain made for an outstanding weekend. Will definitely be back.

My friends and I had the pleasure of staying here for our ski weekend. The home was wonderful—clean and spacious! Ken was absolutely incredible! Very accommodating and friendly, and quick to respond if we had any questions. He was super helpful and went out of his way to ensure that we had an amazing stay. I would highly recommend staying here if you plan to explore Boyne! The home is super close to downtown and only 5-7 minutes to the mountain. Great location, great host, great house—it’s a win win! We will definitely be back

Ken's place was lovely! It was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The only issue was that the hot tub was half-filled and cold when we got there. We called Ken and he took care of the situation as soon as possible- which we appreciated. We would definitely stay here again in the future- we would just call ahead and make sure the hot tub is ready for the first night of our stay.

Perfect place to stay at to go snowboarding at Boyne Mountain! We are definitely going to come back! Great location and downtown Boyne City is just so cute with the little stores and bars/restaurants! Thank you Ken!

My husband and I spent five weeks in this house while renovations to our lake home were being completed. The house is fully set up to accommodate a longer stay and worked out perfectly for us. We enjoyed being able to walk about the town and around the lake. Ken, the owner, is great--flexible and responsive to the few issues that what had.

Loved our time in Boyne as always and loved this house! Ken goes above and beyond to make things comfy!! Kitchen was extremely well stocked. Lots of room for all of us. Enjoyed playing games in the roomy dining area after our busy days. Thanks Ken!!

There were a few things that were a little troubling but for the most part the stay was nice. Just wished we knew the property was a multi-families property and that the fence was up to block off the jacuzzi from the stream of passerby’s that always seemed to be around.

Had a wonderful time in Boyne City! The house is in downtown Boyne city where my kids were able to walk independently on sidewalks to shop and get ice cream without a parent. Safe down to visit with a beach within walking distance.

This beautiful craftsman house worked out very well for us (the grandparents), our two kids and their families—8 of us in all. It was nice and clean. A lot of space with the living room and dining room so open. Great fire pit with comfy chairs around it. We had our dinner around it every night, watching the beautiful sunset. The owner-Ken, was very friendly and generous with his “toys” ie kayaks, bikes, beach gear…
I would highly recommend this property to anyone who enjoys being able to walk to town, the beach and farmers market. Great location!! Thank you Ken!!

We were delighted with this house. If you have an appreciation for historic homes you will love it! Plenty of room for our family of 8. The description is missing the downstairs apartment but this really was not a concern for us. The best part was the location right downtown. We walked everywhere and the older kids liked the freedom to come and go easily. Ken had many beach items available for our use, and he was easy to contact with questions. We are looking forward to staying here again in the future. Thanks for sharing your house Ken!!

Ken is great and has everything you need! Nice to have a hot tub, multiple fire pits to choose from, access to kayaks, golf clubs, disc golf equipment, floatie, updated kitchen.The only surprise was you don't have the entire house/property to yourself, there are people living in the lowest level/back side of the house. Not really an issue, just good information to know!

The home is pretty and well-kept. We were incredibly surprised that the owner did NOT specify that there is a family living beneath the house with a separate entrance. When asked, he reported that he "thought" that was mentioned in the listing. No, it was not... I would have not rented the home if I knew; I felt manipulated.Also, the hot tub and yard offer no privacy. The fence is ripped up in the very front and still remains leaning on another area of the fencing so renters can use the front door to access the hot tub; this is all on the main road of town. Second, the hot tub is directly across from the basement renters window.Geeez.

Ken was very nice and tried to be as accommodating as possible. The renters who came before us didn’t care for the hot tub like they were supposed to. So when we arrived, the tub was filthy and had to be drained. We couldn’t use it the entire weekend. Also, the renters who live in the basement below us (we had no idea this was part of the listing) had band practice at 7:30am Friday and Saturday morning. But the location is perfect for anyone looking to walk to the main strip.
