The property had all the amenities we would want, and the staff was super friendly. The rooms were spacious with a view. Take note that the property is a 20-30 minute walk from town. We were hiking, so a bit tired. But we will stay there again!

Especially that first night after the long hike from Lagos, the walk uphill from town to check in could have been a little shorter. Haha.

I loved it! First, it is so less money! Then, you have a lot of space in your room! And in the garden too! The pools and the palm trees next to it give a very tropical feeling. Ocean view included. The stuff is very polite and breakfast is just 7euro with fruits, bread and coffee. I traveld as an alone woman and felt very comftable. You can feel very free and save. The area is very save, there are also no strees in luz, where its pretty and in the next street its dirty and creepy people walk around. So you can go out and come back late. What i like, is that the hotel is behind a gate sourrounded by walls. It gives this extra feeling of havibg your private space! I will come back, thanks for everything!

Beds, not so clean

Attractive Portuguese style hotel overlooking, nice grassed grounds and pool with sea views from an elevated position. Nice big room (large hard double bed and mini fridge) with nice terrace outlook towards the pool. Great service from Nou Nou at breakfast and in general and Philippe too. Cleaners did a great job maintaining a high standard. Nice little communal terrace for breakfast and snacks overlooking well kept lawns and a clean and gently sloping large pool. Luz and Burgau have some lovely beaches and scenery. We met a couple of lovely people which really helped us to enjoy our stay. The cost for accommodation was good value, especially for Luz area.

It's an uncomfortable 15-20min walk into Luz mostly down uneven cobbles. Luz itself is very expensive but we managed to find a couple of reasonably priced places but you need 2 do your research, unless you don't care about value cause ur on holiday. Ubers r pretty good and cheap but soon add up if ur having 4 rides a day into and out of Luz or Burgau, which is also expensive but worth a visit. We were not told of any building works next door, probably because it might have put us off. The first week was typical crane movements and usual low key building works. The second week was massively disrupted by a large JCB like digger sraping out rock and dumping into lorry's...it also created dust and we sneezed a lot.. Went on from about 9-am - 5pm but no works at week end. Also on one side of the quaint little complex there is metal sheeting which shields most of the site but we could see the digger, crane and building quite clearly and the sheeting creeked and flapped in the wind. Unfortunately we again were not told until we enquired the day before that there was a limited snack menu and no meals served after 2pm. The bar was open later but you are likely 2b the only ones, so unfortunately it lacks much needed socialbility. You can expect 2 pay €10 for a breakfast incl coffee and €3.5 for a beer. We did not have a hairdryer or kettle in our room, however when asked these were provided, although. We did not appreciate a 'telling off' when we borrowed a friend's kettle from her room instead. Not cups or glasses were provided just 2 paper cups. Whilst rooms are big and clean they have the usual concrete and tile surfaces which means you do get disturbed by inconsiderate neighbours. We had a couple of teanage visitors arrive for a day and night, smoking pot and playing phone music and singing from early afternoon, pulling up sunbeds next to their terrace right next to us..
