Excellent location close to the old town of split and beaches! Marija the manager is awesome, extremely attentive and loves her job I’d say. Breakfast was delicious- made to order omelets, fruit plates and chia pudding. They take their Covid precautions seriously!

Splendida Palace has a story. It's a special experience being there. Marija is a fantastic host.

Splendida’s slogan is ‘treats you like a jewel’ and it couldn’t be more appropriate. From the moment we arrived after a long and difficult travel day, we were looked after. We were greeted by Marija, the utterly brilliant manager, and given her grandfather’s handmade rakija to try while we checked in and Mihaela took our suitcases to the room for us. The room itself, despite being their smallest, was a decent size. The bed and pillows were both comfortable, and there was a small wardrobe, a fridge, a decent (and powerful) shower and a desk area. The balcony was a decent size and was nice to sit out on. The room also had air conditioning, a TV and wifi, but what sets Splendida Palace apart from other hotels is not the room itself, but the service. Breakfast here was outstanding. We were usually served by Marija and Tina, who definitely always made sure that we left the breakfast room satisfied. If you eat a good breakfast here, you won’t need lunch. Sanja the lovely chef made us pancakes, scrambled eggs and omelettes throughout our stay, even making us larger portions on our final morning before travelling home. This was in addition to the other options on offer - the usual cereals, pastries, toasts, fruits, meats and cheeses, yogurts, etc. Two types of juice were on offer in addition to a wide range of hot drinks. They also offer dairy-free milk alternatives so don’t worry if you don’t see them out on display - they do have them! On one of our days, we were awake early for an excursion and Marija made us two breakfast bags to take with us full of croissants and fruit. The staff are incredibly attentive in other ways, too. Upon checking in, we were given a mobile phone to carry and use if needed which had Marija’s number for emergencies or simply if we got lost, and other helpful contacts such as taxi companies. We didn’t need to use it, but what a fantastic idea!

Great little boutique hotel in a good location near the old town of Split. Marija was great- very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We were well looked after and would definitely return.

Good location. Easy walk to old city, restaurants, ferries for island trip. Good breakfast and wonderful staff. Staff could not be nicer or more helpful. Loved our stay and will be back.

Everything was absolutely perfect. Room, breakfast. And Maria, at the front desk, has been exceptional. She gave us lots of advices to make our stay memorable. I highly recommend this small intimate hotel.

The Splendida Palace is a gem. The staff is incredible. Maria waited for me to arrive and she greeted me with a lovely drink and showed me to my room. Throughout my stay the staff was kind and extended exceptional service. I loved the rooms, the breakfast was perfect with great variety. The location was convenient to shopping, the Promenade and many restaurants. This quaint hotel felt like staying with friends.

This really is an amazing boutique hotel, I travelled with my husband and two children and the hotel were extremely accommodating in making sure our rooms were close togther. On arrival (which was early morning) they had made sure our rooms were made up first so we could check in straight away which was great. Marija couldn't have been more helpful with all of her local advice and knowledge, recommending some fantastic restaurants and places to see - the hotel is a very short walk to the centre of old Split and the waterfront so brilliantly located. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful - they honestly can't do enough for you here. I never write reviews (I know I should) but this place deserves 10 out of 10 for everything - I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back!

The location and the staff were excellent. The staff went out of their way to help with practical and helpful advice as well as our logistics. They were interested, pleasant, and personable. In addition, host Marija even offered us free upgrade to a bigger room, which we took with no hesitation. Spotlees rooms, free parking and swimming pool are not that common in the old town Split, but Splendida has it all. Looking forward to come back.

The location was perfect, just beside the old town, the breakfast was very big and full of whatever you could want, the room was very comfy, all that you would find in a good hotel but with a homely atmosphere. But the real plus that makes all the difference is the staff: Absolutely delightful people, always there for you, nice and helpful, going above and beyond all expectations, it really makes a big difference.

The staff were really knowledgeable on the local on the local area and nothing was too much trouble for them . They took the time to reccomend the best sights too see and the best places to eat . The hotel was in a great location , just a short walk from the palace and old town . The building itself was full of character , the rooms were very well furnished and decorated . Everything was was clean , polished and immaculate . Breakfast was delicious . Can not reccomend this hotel enough . Very impressed !

I honestly can not fault this hotel

In the fascinating maze that is Split and Diocletian's palace, the Splendida Palace is very conveniently located close to the ferry harbour and old town centre. Very friendly and attentive service, super breakfast with freshly cooked eggs to order, and comfortable room with nice outdoor terrace and sun loungers. Plus they gave me a free room upgrade which was super. It's a small building up a cosy side street (not exactly a 'palace' as such - but Split is like that). Arranged transfer back to the airport.

We’ve been on the road for a couple months and I can say unequivocally that this the best property we’ve encountered. We were pampered, taken care of at every turn and made to feel completely at home. The room was luxurious, the location (and parking) fantastic and the breakfast delicious. Most of all, there’s Marija. She’s a gem of a human who actually seems to revel in her job. Her sweet and uplifting disposition is only matched by her can-do performance — and availability. She even gave us a “hotline” phone to call should any need arise. And do listen to her restaurant recommendations. When she says, “you got to try this guy’s fish,” believe her. Stay here. We will again.
