We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Carlotta. The location is perfect - few minutes away from the lake, ~10 minutes away from convenience stores and local restaurants. Villa itself looks better compared to what will you see in pictures. It is spacious (for 2 couples), clean, has a perfect kitchen for cooking and, man, that balcony faced at Idro lake is the thing that we all falled in love with from the first moment.

There is not much to complain about. Moka pot could be bigger (now there is teeny-tiny one) and splitted mattress tend to drift away during the night.

Fabulous location and views. Quiet but within walking distance to shops and bars. Close to beach and paddle boarding facilities. Simone, the host, was very helpful.

No kettle at the property for making tea.

We loved how clean the place was. Squeaky clean actually! And how dishes were put at the drawer was so so cute and made us smile. Nice details - left at the place made us happy. The location was nice too. Easy to reach - town, small shops. At late evenings we could see few animals from the balcony and windows (badger, bats) - that was really exciting. And the owner is specially nice, friendly and helpful. She made few important things - easy-going for us :)

Just self preference - we like dead-silence, so since there is the road near the lake - it was a little bit distracting. Also, since the place looked really nice from the first sight - plastic furnitures at the balcony made the it feel much "cheaper". We understand - this is not a hotel, but we didn't know that there will be no soap. Another thing - walls feel paper-thin. We literally could hear our neighbors like there was no wall at all. Last thing - the waste sorting was pretty much complicated (even know we are use to waste sorting). The instruction was just in German language. So that could be more internationally - understandable and easy to reach about sorting at this location. Maybe - in english too?
