Beautiful property! The room was stunning and well equipped. A great size too! The location was fantastic, gorgeous views of the lagoon and infinity pool from our room. Some great restaurants and cafe close by, as well as a store and scooter hire. Everything we needed. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Perhaps the breakfast was lacking a bit for the price.

Fresh fruit for breakfast daily. Amazing spot!
Captain Tamas crew partying every night after work. Rats in ceiling. But Nick said he will sort

A beautiful design contemporary with local feel. The spacious living areas and outside living is exceptional. We travel a lot and this was a standout property with a very good feeling for a relaxed holiday. What an amazing breakfast
Pretty hard to find any faults to be honest nothing to report that we can recall

Beautiful elegant luxury property. Every detail thought through. Spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Great location right at Muri Lagoon, had a lot of fun paddle boarding. Fantastic pool and hot tub. Never crowded. Delicious breakfast daily, plentiful pastries, cereal, fruit, yogurt and juices. Great staff, led by super helpful owner Nick. All so helpful and kind. 5 plus plus plus Stars!
Everything was great! Will definitely recommend to someone who is looking for a luxurious and elegant property. We liked the quiet elegance.

Loved the postcard view from our accom, we eagerly looked forward to the breakfast each morning, delicious complimentary plunger coffee, lounge and dining area was fantastic to relax in, super staff🤩pool and sup's for ocean activity. Had everything we needed to decompress and enjoy island living.
Roosters nearby quite noisy at night and in mornings but noticed them less through the week....

Breakfast was more than enough and delivered on time.
Perhaps room upkeep, ie sliding doors very hard to slide.

We are return visitors to Te Vakaroa and for good reason, this place is simply the best place on the island. Unquestionably. Its location is ideal if you like to relax but also enjoy the hum of the island as a backdrop - scooters, roosters, island drums and people enjoying themselves in the lagoon. It's the perfect level of luxury, relaxation and comfort. Whilst also being authentic and designed in a way that suits the island environment. Every detail is taken care of and the facilities including the pool and spa, are simply outstanding.

Breakfast was great, always fresh. Location was excellent, close to supermarket, night markets, scooter hire and also on the bus route & restaurants. Rooms were clean and serviced daily. Full use of snorkeling gear and standup paddle boards are a must first thing in the morning. We had the complex for a week to ourselves.
Captain Tama's is next door and can get a bit noisy once they have finished their cruise in the afternoon.
Nothing to complain about.

Quite possibly the most beautiful place on the entire island. The property is spectacular…the grounds and garden are eye popping. The view from the endless pool over the beach and onto the lagoon is stunning.
There is not a single thing we did not like….

Perfect location, great design, friendly staff - this was our third visit and this is the best private villas on Rarotonga!!
Location, design, family friendly snorkeling, kayaking, sailing all 5 meters from the pool!!

Amazing location, comfortable villas with great pool area. Walking distance other resorts & markets
Villas are right next door to noisy tourist operator Captain Tamas. We could tolerate the noise levels during the day even though it ruined the poolside atmosphere i.e. loud drums & constant loud rap music from their outdoor stereo. The worst however was their daily staff after-work drinking sessions 5-8pm attended by 10-20 drunk locals, accompanied by the same loud stereo

Friendly Manager and Owner. Treated like family. Tropical fruit breakfast each morning. Pool immaculately maintained.
The Local rooster crowing outside the property each morning at 5 am. However, can not do much about that aspect of the environment, part of the local colour.

Breakfast was yummy. Fruit delicious. Pity I won't be getting a breakfast delivered to that standard when I get home. Breakfast was always delivered with a happy, smiley face.
Absolutely nothing really. Everything exceeded our expectations. Was an amazing trip for our family and we all enjoyed the Villas.

Awesome location and fabulous staff. Super friendly and accommodating
Could do with some minor maintenance updates but also conscious 2&1/2 years of Covid lockdowns and product supply issues will have been a problem

Amazing facilities and even better location. Soo nice lazing out on the outer deck right in the edge of the lagoon. listening to captain Tama music before they head out for the day. Having awesome food options available nearby. super comfy bed and bedding and bathroom soo good.
Even though the place is amazing I don’t feel like it’s $900 a night amazing. We loved it and paid the price as it was our honeymoon stay. However if it wasn’t for the honeymoon we probably wouldn’t be staying there unless we had won the lotto haha. And I get that it is more intended for people where money isn’t an obstacle so I write this with no bad intent. But for me I cant justify the difference of $550 more a night when compared to say an Edgewater beachfront room which we stayed In the first 4 nights of our trip.

We are a couple with two university aged children and this was the perfect set-up for us having booked a two bedroom villa. The room layout was good as they had their own room with ensuite and the layout in the living area onto a deck looking at Muri lagoon was beautiful and the decor was contemporary island style with gorgeous gardens outside. The breakfast delivered each morning was a great way to start the day and the croissants were divine and delivered by the wonderful smiley Helen. Nick the owner was friendly and so too were all the staff. The location was perfect with Tamas lagoon cruises right next door and so too was the sailing club for meals, drinks and music as well as a well-stocked store for snacks and drinks. At the end of the driveway to the right is a hairdressing salon where you can get your nails done and next door to that book your Charlotte Piho turtle tours and an avis car and scooter rental office. I think this is the best location and all villas have a great view of the water and pool and the fact there are sup boards available to take out any time is also a bonus. This is definitely Thank-you team for making our stay so memorable. We'll be back.

Location was perfect. Right on the beach and easy walking to local market and restaurants. Room is superb - very luxurious Breakfasts were great with freshly baked bread and tropical fruits. Hosts and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was perfect - some sliced fruit, a bit of muesli, some croissants and juice. The units have really good kitchens so you could easily cook up your own big breakfast if you wanted, but we found what was provided to be good and plentiful.
The beds were very comfortable, the mattresses are a little too soft for my liking but then I like a really firm mattress. There was a variety of pillows (feather, fiber) to suit any need, and the linen was of great quality.
Good quality glasses and crockery etc, and the mini bar had a very small markup which was a pleasant surprise :)
The property is in pristine condition with absolutely wonderful gardens, facilities and views. Plenty of space for the people on the property and most of the time we really felt like we had the place to ourselves.
All the doors and windows have shutters and mosquito nets, and there is also aircon is you prefer it very cool - it all makes for a good night's sleep.
The only downside would be the location of the company nextdoor, which is not a criticism of Te Vakarua at all and is out of their control. The company operates for a few hours on the lagoon - only 30 minutes of that is when the groups come to their site nextdoor and they play some very energetic music, quite loudly. The groups then proceed to cruise on the lagoon - but the lagoon is not very large and the sound does travel, so you do have some quite fast-pace drumming for a large portion of the day. We only stayed for 3 nights, and we took a daytrip to Aitutaki on day 2, so our exposure was quite limited - and I knew of this beforehand so I was already tuned in, but I do fear that if you are after a very relaxing and quiet time, especially if it is for 7 days or so, the daily drumming might interfere with your enjoyment - just something to consider. Having said that, the lagoon is very beautiful, the sunset really amazing, Sails nextdoor has great food, and we left Raro as very happy customers!
