The Het Dakhuis is AMAZING. Central location, spectacular views, charming and modern decor, sparkling clean, good wifi, and a fully equipped kitchen (with good knives!!!!). The stairs are more like wide ladders, and they were borderline for my mom (69 years old), but it was totally possible for her to navigate them. Also, we knew about the stairs when we booked, and we thought they added to the charm (it felt like we were living inside a windmill, in a good way!). We just left all our luggage on the entry level and only brought up things we absolutely needed in the kitchen or bedroom levels. We cooked dinner of local fish and veggies from the market happening the afternoon we arrived, and Anita left champagne for us which was a perfect match and a lovely gesture. And, she helped me figure out the paid street parking situation. Also, the Netherlands seems to have more reliable access to tea without caffeine that we even do back home in the USA. We really appreciated the stash of rooibos options. The only other things: it was hot with the windows closed, and if there was AC we couldn't figure it out. But that was our problem, not the house. :) We left the windows open overnight and the breeze cooled things off. (Also, the water closet is sealed off from the rest of the kitchen/bathroom level. It was sauna in there, so we left that door open most of the time.)

Lovely location, fabulous views, windows on three sides so loads of natural light

De locatie was fantastisch. The views were spectacular. The decor was nicely done.Most of all having the two terraces was great. Nicely equipped kitchen . Ability do do some laundry.

The stairway up the bedroom was very steep and dangerous but we managed coming down backwards.

The Lady that waited for us to give us the keys was really, really nice and helpful. She even offered us a small bottle of bubbles and homemade marmalade as a welcome present. The view from the two small balconies overdone all of our expectations. It's amazing.

The toilet is super small. You shouldn't be too tall.

Location and view are fantastic! The city is very cosy and cute.

It is important to be notified in advance that the apartment has 3 floors more 1 floor from the elevator to the apartment's door. It is not recommended for someone with mobile challenges.

Very unique, great design, fantastic location, Joke (the owner) is wonderful.
