When searching for a vacation rental property it was important to find one that would accommodate not only our dog but also a senior cat (declawed). Happily we found this home and stayed for 9 nights. My husband and I had a very relaxing stay utilizing the pool almost every day. Our pets enjoyed lounging on the lanai while we were in the pool. Check in/ check out process was simple. We found a clean home with everything you need to start your trip off right. We cooked meals in the stocked kitchen as well on the gas grill. The horse shoe drive is very convenient and it was nice to be able to store away the car at night in the garage. The neighborhood is very quiet. This was the first time in years that we could sleep without a fan or white noise machine. We would definitely return in the future!

My husband and I, along with our three children under 12, vacationed in Mike and Ann’s lovely southern Florida home over the late December / early January holidays.
While we are just now arriving home back to our frigid temperatures in the Midwest, we loved every moment of our stay in the sunshine - from the inviting and simple check in (key box) to the spotless home with so much space our children had no choice but to spread out and not bother each other.
The home was fully stocked with everything our family could have needed and so much more - every kitchen appliance and tool to cook a delicious meal pool side (* the pool is gorgeous, heated for the slightest price if you’d like - of course we chose that option!) and the garage has many sand toys, pool toys, beach chairs, etc.
We made the drive up to Disney, we ventured to amazing restaurants, explored gorgeous beaches collecting sharks’ teeth and shells & most importantly made memories to last a lifetime with our three growing children.
If you’re reading reviews on VRBO and wondering if this is the one for your family, it is.
It is about a 15min+ drive to grocery, etc. but we are very used to that in our own town as well and find that to be perfectly normal.

We had 15 days of an excellent stay, a lovely villa and pool, first class response from management team, just needed pool heating turned on, arrived within 20 minutes. Villa very well appointed, great location. Not overlooked, lots of wildlife, Tortoise, Armadillos and birds. You can hear but not see the odd Golfer to rear of lot. Excellent holiday on Rotonda, you have to try Sassy Tarts for cakes, pot pies and quiche.

We were traveling with my parents, my kids (2 and 7) and my wife and I. The house had the perfect lay out for that. The house has all the appliances and things you’d need for a Florida vacation. And everything was clean and as described. I can recommend the poolheating as our kids almost didn’t leave the pool while we were at the house.
Normally we rent houses in Englewood and Venice. This house has the major advantage of not having direct neighbors. So you can really relax and enjoy the Florida weather with privacy. You know that you have to drive a couple of minutes extra to get to the main roads, but is something we knew when we‘ve booked this house. We had some minor things we’ve brought to the owners attention and they took care of it straight away, communication was pleasant and quick. And I think this gives you trust you need when you’re renting a house abroad. We strongly recommend this house, and we’d love return one day. Thanks for having us!

We had a wonderful stay at Bobcat villa. The pool area was very private. The house had everything we needed - including beach chairs, umbrella and a cooler. We were able to spread out and everyone had their own room. Overall a great vacation!

What a great place
We are from PA and had never been to the Florida Gulf Coast before. What a great experience we had and loved this rental. It is just a short drive to MANY absolutely breathtaking beaches, shops, and restaurants.
The house was extremely clean when we got there and keyless checking was super easy. I have been renting beach houses for 20 years and never had a place so clean. The house is just gorgeous inside and out and the open floor plan made it very easy for the 5 of us to have plenty of room. It came with all the essentials including beach and bath towels, kitchen supplies and cleaning g stuff. Plus it had beach essentials ready for the beach.
This is a great rental and we couldn’t be happier. The owners are the best and we’re very patient with all my questions. We had no problems while there so we did not speak with the manager but judging from the condition of the rental they would be top rate.
If you are thinking of a drip to Florida I would definitely consider this gem!

Home away from home
We had a wonderful two-week vacation at the Bobcat Villa---So much so that we have reserved this home for a second time. The owners are very kind, and they have decorated this home with comfortable furniture and all the conveniences of home. We also love that it's located close to good restaurants, grocery stores and lots of outdoor fun.

Spacious, comfy and private
We had a month long stay and enjoyed the heated pool and having meals on the lanai, along with trips to nearby beaches using the beach chairs provided. It is truly equipped as a home away from home and had everything we needed. There’s nice quality linens and towels and we found the beds comfortable and slept well. Plenty of areas to spread out and the couches are all deep, comfy, and perfectly nap worthy. Both owner Ann and local property management were very quick to respond and addressed any issues promptly. On the lanai, you have almost complete privacy from view of any neighbors, except for the turtles who passed through a few days to our delight. This villa is a great choice if you value quiet and privacy

Very quiet and relaxing
What a great place to stay! The listing is accurate and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay for the week. The home is in a very quiet area and the pool and deck area are wonderful! We were outside all day swimming and eating under the covered patio and enjoying the quiet neighborhood and wildlife that we did see. We went to the beach 2 days during our stay and the garage was stocked well with everything we needed to enjoy our day at the beach (chairs, umbrella, coolers, and sand toys). Mike and Ann were great and responded to all of our messages promptly. Dylan, the property manager, was very kind and helpful also. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend the Bobcat to anyone looking for a home away from away home!

Excellent Stay!!
We enjoyed the villa with our grown son who lives and works in Venice. Loved the privacy and even got to see Mr. Bobcat several times as he passed on through. Ann is a lovely person to deal with. We hope to come back in the future.

A Wonderful Experience, not to be missed
Anyone who has ever been to Rotonda West will know it's a hidden gem, a place to relax, yet a short drive away from whatever your heart desires. The USA's Number 1 Beach Siesta Key, the Tahitian like islands of Sanibel and Captiva and restaurants and shopping to suit everyone's taste. History, Ringling's Circus Museum at Sarasota and Edison's Estate at Fort Myers are a must visit.
Not only does the 'Bobcat Villa' provide an ideal base to explore, behind the picturesque façade is an hidden gem. It's a chameleon, enough space for eight people yet my wife and I felt totally at home as a couple. With high quality furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen, that wants for nothing and good sized bedrooms. We particularly liked the labels on all the light switches, it makes life much easier.
If you just want to relax and take in the sun there is a fully caged deck area and pool, with loungers, table and chairs and a gas barbeque. For those with more energetic intentions there are three adult and two child bicycles to explore a bike friendly Rotonda.
They say if you ever find Paradise, never leave, sadly we had to, but we hope to return to the 'Bobcat Villa' next year.

Fabulous Holiday
We just spent a wonderful two weeks at Bobcat Villa with our family. The house has everything that you could want for your comfort and enjoyment, although the only downside was that the large tree in the garden did block the sun from mid afternoon. I imagine, though, that later in the year this would not be a problem. Apart from that, I would recommend this villa and its owners to anyone. Mike and Ann are excellent people to deal with.

A perfect home away from home for the holidays
The property description is "spot on" as far as what you can expect with your stay at this villa. We were seeking a spacious home for our family of six - three generations - to spend the recent holidays with a priority on R&R. We had very specific amenities on our checklist and this home delivered it all. The location is perfect for those desiring a well-kept, safe & friendly neighborhood and a nice private pool/lanai area. There is a beautiful playground in the community park and we found it to have relatively easy access to shopping, beaches and other Florida attractions. The owners are very responsive and easy to work with; all necessary household information was provided without having to seek it out. There is a local property management contact available but we did not need to reach out as everything was in working order throughout our stay. This was our third HomeAway winter rental so we carried certain expectations going in; happy to say this property and the overall experience exceeded them all!

Meine Frau und ich waren für 2 Wochen in der Bobcat Villa, dem bislang ruhigsten Ferienhaus unserer vielen vergangenen Ferienhaus-Urlaube hier im Südwesten Floridas. Rotonda ist ein Paradies für Golfer und solche, die es werden wollen. Die Besitzer Mike und Ann stellen neben vielen anderen Dingen (Schwimmnudeln, Schwimmreifen, Strandstühle, Räder für Kleine und Große auch 2 Golfausrüstungen zur Verfügung.
Das Haus bietet mit 4 Schlafzimmern jede Menge Platz. Von fast jedem Zimmer gibt's Türen zum Innenhof mit Pool. Die großzügig überdachte Lanai erlaubt es auch bei den im Sommer typischen heftigen (und zumeist kurzen) Regengüssen, trockenen Hauptes im Freien zu bleiben. Eine vernünftige Lanai gehört zu den (für uns) mittlerweile wesentlichen Dingen, weil wir nun mal am liebsten IMMER draußen sind in Florida. Für Familien mit Kleinkinder ist das (für Familien OHNE Kleinkinder) leicht zu entfernende Schutzgitter um den Pool ein nicht zu unterschätzender Pluspunkt. Wer nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit am Pool sitzend dem Konzert der Tierwelt lauscht und in die Sterne guckt, der wird - wie wir - am liebsten die Zeit anhalten wollen...
