Big apartment.Could have happily stayed there a few days.Had everything.Too bad there was no breakfast,was getting used to that in Portugal.

Charm, history and distinct luxury from a huge domain with a multitude of birds, fruits and centuries old trees. The apartment was spacious, its decor and equipments refined and of high quality. The overflow type pool in the landscape park is absolutely stunning.

Birds especially peacocks can be noisy at night

wonderful view and pool and surrounded by acres of garden. Rooms are beautifully decorated with lots of interesting pieces of furniture and art. There are easy and dining chairs outside and kitchen with all that you are likely to need.

The peacocks! There are many birds in cages and we were woken at 5am by squawking and it went on throughout the day - that really spoiled a lovely environment. The pool is quite a distance from the rooms but it has changing and toilets but that wasn't explained. The information in the house was all in Portuguese and an English version would be helpful. There are very few staff on site.

Beautiful setting and location, wonderful gardens and animals. Very nice apartments, very clean and spacious. Great terrace with city and sea/river views, nice pool, friendly and helpful staff. Location is ca 15-20 min walk to city center (or a short drive).

Unfortunately, our apartment was right next to the voliere with the peacocks and chickens. We did not get any sleep, because peacocks are really loud and noisy birds and they kept going all night. Not sure whether this is normal or due to mating rituals, no idea. But impossible to sleep, even with closed windows. The mattress was way too soft, we are both lightweight but kept sliding down into the middle. I really wanted to rate this accommodation more highly, but if I can't sleep, it's no use unfortunately. Probably apartments 1 and 2 don't have these issues since they are further away from the peacocks.

The apartment was lovely and so clean. If you get apartment 4 and plan to self cater it’s very dark in the kitchen area. The housekeeping staff do an excellent job! The bed is firm but comfortable. Lots of hot water 👍. The proprietors are very quick to answer any questions or concerns you have and do it very pleasantly. Be aware we are not super light sleepers but with the shutters closed and the windows closed we could not block out the sound of the peacocks.

That we didn’t get a good sleep due to the peacocks. Most people mustn’t self cater as there are no oven mitts or pot holders (makes it difficult to take something from the oven or microwave).

Nice town to walk to and beaches nearby Good facilities in the property and appreciated having my washing done.

Only person on site was cleaner who, while very nice,spoke no English. Would of been nice to have coffee capsules replenished

We were received very friendly, got good information about Viana do Castelo. The garden is beautiful, very well maintained. The appartment is cleaned every day. There are beautiful birds and peacocks in the garden. From the appartment you can walk tot the city centre. The people at the quinta are all very friendly.

Comfortable stay in spacious apartment, ideal for 2 people. We stayed in apartment 5 which has a more private terrace and great views out to sea which we appreciated. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom had a bath which was also appreciated as many only have showers these days. The Quinta is set in beautiful grounds and the pool is lovely.

The birds in cages. Their cages are too small and not very clean, we even saw one dead bird one day. Please rehome them to a sanctuary.

An unbelievably beautiful property, peaceful and serene, with a fabulous view out over the city. Couldn't have been better, and far more gorgeous than I even expected. We stayed in a 2bed apartment, which was more than we needed, we could live in it!

Not a thing!

Amazing place with very attentive staff. A good base to discover the region. Had a lovely fireplace which we used to roast some chestnuts that we've picked in the Quinta, cant get better than that.
