The owners were very pleasant and accommodating . Ruby provided information on where to dine and took very good care of all our needs including hanging my raincoat where it would dry faster. Raymond is an exceptionally chef and the breakfast choices were extensive and excellently prepared with fresh ingredients. The best omelettes that we have ever had! They both made sure we we enjoyed our stay and were well taken care of. The loft was quiet, spacious and filled with extra little treats and a french press coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable and both the bath and the room were very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them and being in their company. They go above and beyond taking care of their guests, guest rooms, property and gardens. Thank you so much for everything Ruby and Raymond!

The breakfast was amazing. I can recommend the scrambled eggs with salmon and the fruit platter. The view from our room was great. We were also provide homemade treats for a lovely tee time. Ruby and Raymond are amazing hosts and make a stay at Sutherlands Guesthouse as enjoyable as possible.

Everything is designed for your comfort and pleasure. From comfortable bed to well placed furniture, spacious shower room with quality features and fittings, you want for nothing. High quality cuisine, which also appeals to the eye is prepared for you to order. Ruby and Raymond are great hosts. You'll be fortunate if they have a vacancy.

Great rooms, big bathroom with separate shower and bath. Possibility to make your own coffee and tea, homemade cookies and small welcome whisky. Incredible good breakfast, big joice of different starters like fresh fruits, fresh juice, excellent porridge, we never hat such fluffy scrambeled eggs with smoked salmon

Everything was perfect

Lovely and peaceful stay. Super comfy bed and very clean, large and extremely spacious en suite, with steam room. Ruby and Raymond were excellent hosts! Warm cooked to order breakfast every morning, with a surprise smoothie every morning and homemade biscuits for later in the day. Very warm experience overall and one of the best stays we've had.

We loved our stay at Sutherlands Guesthouse. I never stayed at a place that lovely and well equipped. Beds, style of our room, amenities, view from our room, breakfast - everything was exceptional. Ruby and Raymond are wonderful hosts. Thanks a lot for making our stay at Sutherlands so comfortable and memorable.

it’s a property to which we have returned several times. they say God is in the details, and you experience the deep respect they have for getting all the particulars correct. Keen aesthetic sense, warm, friendly, hosts - incredible choice of breakfasts (take the smoothies!), and that’s all before taking into its incomparable surroundings. looking out over the mountains whilst having breakfast, then exploring those mountains. Sutherlands sets you up to have the best possible time.

leaving it! we have had the good fortunate to travel well and across the world, and in the most beautiful hotels, for us, the experience at Sutherlands is without doubt up there with anything we have experience elsewhere. so it made it very hard to leave and we didn’t like that.
