We wanted an oceanfront home on the north shore that was quiet and peaceful and this home was a bullseye. Located in Mokuleia, this home sits right on the water, but has a barrier reef a couple hundred yards out which keeps big waves out. So the cove is safe for swimming and snorkeling. You walk through the front gate and are looking at the Pacific Ocean. The covered picnic table is a great place to enjoy family meals while taking in the scenery. In mid April, it can still get a little chilly (by Hawaii standards), so the oceanfront hot tub was used every day. Inside the home is clean and bright and the AC is a major plus to get out of the heat of the day when needed. We loved the location because of its quick access to Haleiwa without all of the traffic and congestion you tend to see between Haleiwa and Pupukea. It’s a bit windier at this side, but we didn’t mind at all. Very relaxing and we will be back.

We spent Spring break at this property with children and 2 sets of grandparents. Pictures posted on the website are an accurate depiction of the property. We were very pleased with the space - both indoor and outdoor living areas were well maintained and clean. We felt safe in the neighborhood and loved being out of the hustle and bustle of the city, yet with easy access to groceries, restaurants and church. The beach area was sandy and great for the kids to play in. We had concerns being on the north shore this time of year, but the cove where the property was located was fairly protected and we were able to snorkel and swim. Saw sea turtles and whales in the distance. It was a little difficult for the elderly to climb down to the beach but we made it work. Owner was very responsive to questions as well. Would go back in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful stay! Communication with Host was fantastic. The property was beautiful and location was just what we were looking for. Our first visit to O’ahu was in Waikiki at a resort. This was our second trip to this Island and we personally liked the more intimate ocean front setting with a more local feel. It was the perfect place for this active, ocean loving family!

Thank you Reid for making our stay another memorable experience with a clean house, well-stocked supplies, and awesome entertainment amenities. Everything was perfect. We are already counting down the days when we can return.

Beautiful home directly on beach.

The property fit our needs so well. It had all the things we needed: Plenty of snorkeling gear, cornhole boards, fishing poles, boogie boards, etc. The house is spacious and the view is amazing! We made many family memories here. Reid, the host, was very nice and responded promptly to any questions I had. We had a wonderful experience with this property and I highly recommend!

The house is located in a private are of Mokuleia, about 15 min away from Haleiwa, and 40 min from Honolulu. It’s next to a sky diving field and was very peaceful and quiet. You get beautiful beach front views on one side and green lush mountains on the other. The ocean on this side is rough, lots of waves, you can hear waves crashing onto the rocks right beside one of the bedrooms. As a result we didn’t feel it was very safe to swim for beginner swimmers! The tide doesn’t go down too much so the stretch of beach is small, but regardless it’s very beautiful. It is right beside a camp ground so while it was peaceful for us because it wasn’t fully occupied; it may depend on time. House itself is nicely renovated inside. Beds are comfy, and the kitchen is well stocked. The front door lock was finicky but it wasn’t a huge deal. When we arrived the hot tub was murky from the last guests, but I messaged the owner and he got back to me asap and sent someone the same day to change the water! Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Oahu is such a busy place that this is a rare gem

Everyone had an awesome time. We loved the location right on the water - surf splashing up on the deck! Lots of room to spread out for the 3 generations. Loved it and would stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay here and enjoyed snorkeling, swimming and beach time right from the house! Our family felt right at home and everything you needed was close but without all the crowds! The views were absolutely amazing, so we spent most of our time outside, and we had some true relaxation time. Shopping is close, several grocery store options, and many public beach options. We hated to leave and will definitely be back!

The house was exactly as advertised, stunning location, clean, quiet & has everything you need. Cozy house with plenty of outdoor space. The communication with the property was amazing as well, A+. Would recommend to all future potential visitors.

Beautiful panoramic sunrises and sunsets every day… each second that passes the view gets better and better. Close to town but just off the beaten path and away from the tourists enough to make for a gem of a location. Due to the time of year, we didn’t spot any turtles in the water behind the house and we weren’t able to swim off the back deck (no shoreline) but found a great little beach just down the road (Lost Beach—yes, Lost was filmed here in part!) which surprised us with a bale of turtles feeding at dinnertime! During the day we enjoyed watching the sky divers parachute across the waterline and directly over the house to land in the adjacent field—awesome! House had all the essentials for our week long stay.

As a great host, the property shows the careful consideration Reid has put into creating a space suited for everyone- from couples up to large families. Start the day watching the sunrise, then snorkel during the morning calm, do some fishing before setting chairs in the sand to soak up the sun and ambience. Or simply enjoy the tranquility from the hammock in the lanai, then finish the day in the hot tub… We loved our stay and are thankful to Reid for allowing our family to enjoy this piece of paradise. Despite taking in a number of activities, at the end of the trip, one in our group said the property was their favorite takeaway from our stay in Oahu! What more could be said? Highly recommended and hope one day to visit again!

We were looking for something private and spacious and this house did not disappoint! Reid was a fantastic host and was always quick and helpful whenever we had questions.

The property was beautiful and had everything we needed. Location was great, we were close to everything on the north shore but still in a private area. I would sit for hours on the deck watching the ocean. Very peaceful. Highly recommend this oasis! Can't wait to return in the future!

What can I say - owner very responsive, property exactly as pictured and we literally snorkeled with turtles!! Saw turtles right off our property 3 days in a row until we couldn’t take it anymore and jumped in!! Between relaxing in the spa to enjoying the hammock to s’mores around the fire pit at night … memories were endless!! Checking calendar to come back! A bit windy during our trip so snorkeling best in the am around 7-8 am but we’re early risers so took advantage - enjoyed watching the skydivers come in literally directly overhead our property - so cool! My girls would watch movies on the outside tv and falling asleep at night to the sound of the crashing waves was so awesome - thank you thank you!! We’ll be back!!

We loved the tranquility of this house. Quite and relaxing. We loved being away from all the hustle and bustle. The house was super clean. Yard is awesome. Like our own personal resort. Watching the turtles and skydiver was a nice treat.

My family and I stayed at this wonderful property in February. It was all we imagined and hoped for! The pictures don’t do it justice. Being so close to the water was why we chose this place and it did not disappoint. We had access to the beach, snorkeling, watching the sky divers was entertaining. We saw turtles, whales in the distance, the sound of the ocean and stars at night were relaxing and mesmerizing! It is a short drive to Haleiwa for great shopping, wonderful restaurants, food trucks to enjoy. Reid was a responsive host and answered all the many questions we had as well as checking in with us the first night to make sure we got settled okay. Will stay at this property again on a return to the North Shore!
