Our stay was perfect. We are a group of friends in our 40's. We hung out by the pool all day and had the BEST time. We are planning to stay here again in the future! Highly recommend.

Good place to stay and close to the beach. Grandkids liked fishing from the back of the property.

The place was in poor condition, not comfortable, very disappointing and too expensive. Didn't even have a dinning table to eat at or chairs to sit on. A lot of damage areas, too many to mention all. But the worst was the hole in the bathroom ceiling on the first floor. I'm not sure we will deal with VRBO for our next vacation. So disappointing and embarrassing to have shared this with family.

Upon arrival we notice half of the power was out on the lower level (fridge, half the kitchen, living room tv and AC- Pool light not working) Left 2 messages with property manager on Monday(day of arrival) 1 message on Tuesday July 4th..no call back. No call back on Wed. Thur I called and finally spoke to someone at least to report issues.

We enjoyed our vacation here! The pool was a plus! The house is divided into 2 floors. It was a great layout. I recommend this place

House is great on quiet dead end street. Pool is perfect and located right on water. Kids fished right off back of the house. House is a tad dated but worked great for us. It is a duplex and the Top and Bottom stories do not connect inside. Wasn't a problem for us with ages of our kids but could see being issue for ones with small kids.

The outdoor porch space is an added bonus to this well kept house! Thank you so much for a having a space where we could bring our most adored family member, our17 lbs Cockapoo, with us!!

Quiet neighborhood. Walking and golf is great. Due to damage from flooding of lower level, construction repairs were continuous and dusty. We had to change our Thanksgiving plans. Also, some minor repairs are required. The bed in the room on the right has a broken frame. Previous nail repair did not hold. Two doors on the kitchen cupboards have damage and missing screws. Over all we are happy with the property and location.

Great place to stay nice, close to beach, and very quiet

The place was a little run down compared to the photos online. Broken furniture outside. Dirty crock pot on the counter, food smeared on the bunk bed comforter. Had to cover one of the rotting deck steps to keep from getting splinters, one of the picnic tables was rotting. Pool light was out and not enough deck lighting. All small things that could be easily fixed. The pool itself was great and was checked and cleaned every other day, plenty of trash pick up. Amazing location!

This is the 2nd year we've rented this property and we love it! Short walk to the beach, pool, and 2 separate living quarters make it perfect for our family.

The unit was not properly cleaned or maintained. Much of the pool and pool dec is literally falling apart. Both kitchens are poorly stocked and disorganized. One of our guest did not have a bed to sleep on as the comforter and bed was soiled with an unknown substance. We reached out about our concerns and never heard back.

We enjoyed our stay and the house! It was a nice quiet location and perfect for our family. Our kids didn’t want to leave and really enjoyed swimming from sun up until bedtime! If you are looking for perfect, then this might not be for you but it really is a great property. Couple suggestions would be lights on deck steps down to pool so you can see them at night, tiki torches around the pool deck and a bug zapper at bar area for bugs at night.

Overall it was great. It does need a little updating both.

This was an awesome place for our family and the couple of friends that came with us. There were a few things that wasn't exactly what was shown in the pictures. Some areas could use updates, but overall it was just right for our crew. We hope to come back in the future and explore more of the area.

There was no code needed to open the door it was already open. Safety concern. We were unable to use the downstairs part of the home. It smelled like bug spray upstairs. I had my daughter and niece in the pool when a man came while seeing them in the pool walked over as to begin cleaning it. I told him it’s kids two little girls why wouldn’t you turn around. He continued to say he was cleaning the pool. I told him not today and he left. This was the worse experience I’ve had ever renting a property. I also called and was placed on hold for 45 minutes and still no help with the entering of downstairs. My family and I had to stay elsewhere due to lack of safety. Refund me please. Don’t rent FYI UNPROFESSIONAL

Great outdoor space with lots of room. We stayed here last year and we’re pleasantly surprised with the upgrades that had been made to the furniture and the upstairs bath. Natalie is a great host which makes communication easy and the check in and check out process was very simple. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again!

Great house, in a good location and very Peaceful. Loved the palm trees around the pool deck.

We were called an hour and a half before we were to check in and told our property had a huge leak in the bathrooms and would not be available. My children had already arrived in Cherry Grove by that point. The owners offered a different property, but I could have never stayed there. It was on the 2nd street from the beach and way too visible on the main Ocean BLVD. We booked this property to be on the inlet so the boys could fish their entire trip anytime they wanted. We also booked this property because I needed 2 separate living quarters. I had teenage boys and girls that I promised parents would not be together during sleep times. We got to the property, and it had not been cleaned and had dirty towels and linens throughout. We had no soap, trash bags, dish soap, clean towels, clean sheets. We did not receive anything or assistance for 24 hours. . We did not receive linens until 4pm on Monday, 24 hours after arrival. We slept on the top of comforters and covered with our own blankets we brought from home. There were only two blankets in the entire house. Thank goodness we had enough blankets. When we did receive linens, we were missing the king fitted sheet and one of the queen top sheets. They did not come in to put linens on the bed, I had to make all the beds in the house. We also did not receive towels until Monday at 4pm as well. Everyone had to use beach towels to shower, so I was doing 3 loads of towels a day to make sure everyone had towels. We did not have fully functioning bathrooms until Tuesday Evening. Monday was the worse because it was raining, (everyone was her inside the house) and the contractors were both upstairs and downstairs all day tracking in wet and dirt. I had to clean the bathrooms and vacuum both Monday and Tuesday evenings after they left. On Monday the upstairs shower was working but they left the toilet in the shower, so we had to move the toilet out of the shower. I noticed that the last review mentioned problems with leaks on Apr. 9th. I understand that another house was offered to us, but I would have not ever stayed in that house. That house was not an upgrade at all. More bedrooms and bathrooms do not make a house an upgrade. We had fishing gear so we could fish on the inlet whenever we wanted though out the day, and sperate quarters for the boys and girls were an absolute must for us. They assumed they could force us to move to a different property that we had no interest in booking.

This was our home away from home for our sons wedding week. We absolutely loved the place! While some things were not perfect, they are/were in process of remodeling and repairs. Fresh paint, remodel in the upstairs bathroom, etc. They will be working on the pool patio area next, as there are loose pieces around the pool (which did not hinder the use of the pool)!! This was the perfect house for our family and gathering of friends and family that were down for the wedding! If you are looking for that ritzy, high end place - don't book! But if you are looking for that homie feeling, this is the place!! Our Property Manager Natalie was AMAZING!! Always there to answer questions or help with any matter that might have arose. Like who was responsible for the propane for the grill lol Renters, it is you :-) We only used the freshly filled tank once, so the next ones in, shouldn't need to worry about it :-) I think the only thing we didn't like, was the fact that to go from the upper "unit" of the house to the lower "unit" of the house, we had to go outside and down the stairs. But in the end, the older kids and us adults loved it LOL it was like they had their own place to be up as long as they wanted listing to music, watching TV or playing games without "disturbing" any of the adults who may have been sleeping. We would definitely book and stay here again in the future!!

This house was perfect for our family! If you are looking for high-end perfection…. Keep scrolling. But for us, it was everything we could have wanted. Location was wonderful…. One block from the beach…. On a channel with good fishing. We even ended up close to the unofficial dog beach. We are a blended family with teen children. The separate unit set up was perfect for our situation. Main shower upstairs was newly updated. WiFi was fast enough for some remote meetings. Nice pool and deck area. Kitchen had minimum gadgets and pans needed to eat in on occasion. Great views. Had a minor leak which was promptly dealt with. We look forward to booking here again!

This pet friendly house was PERFECT for us. We live in Michigan and were able to escape a month of brutal weather at Decked Out. Listening to palm trees rustling in the wind, daily walks on the beautiful beach and NO SNOW was wonderful. Our host Natalie was fantastic. She was always reachable and dispatched great people who took care of anything we needed.

Location and a large, covered deck on the upper level are the outstanding features of this property. It's only 2 blocks to the Atlantic Ocean beaches, has a wonderful view of the ocean inlet and marshes, and the large, covered deck/patio on the upper level provides plenty of space for entertaining visiting family. Unfortunately, the house and pool areas did not meet expectations based on the VRBO listing photos and are in need of major TLC. Problems relayed to the property manager when we arrived were handled professionally and in a timely manner. We shared problems with her throughout our stay and provided a list of issues that still needed to be addressed upon departure. One issue that should be included in the VRBO listing is the lack of a mailbox. We had our mail forwarded to the rental street address, only to discover upon arrival there is no mailbox at this house. We were told to rent a post office box during our stay. While this is a simple thing which we did, it caused major disruptions in mail service and much of the mail forwarded during our 7-week stay has yet to be delivered. This could be a delightful property but it needs major work on the pool and pool deck, as well as an update of bedding, china, etc.

Our overall experience was good. There was an issue with the plumbing and it was repaired in a timely manner. There were a few bugs downstairs and old furniture on porch and supplies for remodeling, as well as pictures upstairs left on floor after painting and towel bar fell off in bathroom. Still, it was a great set up for our family.

Even though this house was in need of some updates and repairs, it was clean and just right for our family vacation. We gathered around the deck/pool area nightly for conversation and laughs. It was definitely a memorable experience.

The property was nice but needed better cleaning and upgrades with blinds. Also, the pool needed more attention and cleaning. Overall, my family and I loved the place and had a great time on vacation. We would visit again.

Do not book this house. The pics are done to make this place look great, but it’s definitely not. Here were our issues: Rats, yes rats. Exterminator was called, but not in time for us to enjoy them. The pool is falling apart. Severe gaps in the concrete make this less than safe. The kitchen and appliances/utensils were gross. Just not a very guest friendly kitchen if you planned on eating in. The shower was cracked in two places. Walls with poorly patched holes. The blinds were terrible (property manager told me they were getting ready to replace them). The house is severely out of level and seems unsafe. I told the property manager that the house had settled nearly 6 inches and she seemed to have not to have known that. If you sleep in the upstairs master BR, you are literally sleeping on a bias towards where the house settled. The windows were all out of square from the house settling and there were cracks throughout the house due to it. I took videos and photos of what this house really looks like. I met the neighbor and he couldn’t have been any nicer. He told me he don’t understands how this property rents because every week it’s people telling him how terrible it is and how the pictures duped them into booking, like it did for us. Take my advice and pass on this house for the money they are charging. We were down there with several other families and most spent about the same and had much nicer places.

The property was a dump...dirty, falling apart, with roaches and ants. It was terribly represented and I am shocked VRBO represented it

There was dog hair all over the couch cushions. There were lots of roaches, floor hadn’t been swept, and the blocks around the pool where coming up and some broke.

We enjoyed the stay. Property managers were very responsive to our needs. Would be 5 stars but the property had a few general maintenance issues around the pool and downstairs that need some care. But overall we had a blast, great setting.

I'll start with the negatives just to get them out of the way. Be sure you like the Cherry Grove neighborhood before you rent. It isn't glitzy and has zero wow factor. There are a lot of visits from maintenance people during the week for repairs such as fixing an appliance, replacing warped boards on the deck which just happen to pop up, and the constant pool cleaner visits at the least opportune times. Some of that (maintenance visits) is standard to home rentals. Most of the crews are quite friendly and polite. The Tiki Bar is nice as a towel rack and place to mix a few drinks with the provided blender. It is merely plain wood, nothing fancy, but located in a good spot. There's no sink or other bar accessories. The grill had old, rusty tools and just seemed to far gone for use. Now for the good stuff. Yes, the decor is dated, but that does not mean it isn't nice. The upstairs level has the only dining table for group meals while downstairs has more seating for nighttime games and gatherings. All is comfortable and roomy. The AC is great upstairs while the window units suffice downstairs. The kitchens offer adequate space for a large group to easily put together meals. Bring your own silverware, as the provided items are quite few. The house is the nicest on the block because it has two floors and the pool/deck area has a great palm tree lined theme. It stands out and screams vacation. The pool area is large, everyone has space to enjoy being outside. The shape of the pool is excellent for floating around or playing catch. Unlike many rentals, the patio around the pool is roomy enough for chairs and walking (kids can run around easily). You can sit back and take in the channel and salt marsh and really feel you are at Myrtle Beach. The walk to the beach is quite short and the area of beach (near a pier) was attractive and definitely away from the crowded feel you get in front of large resort hotels. You have to accept that the design of the home is older so the bathrooms are plain and limited (there are only 2). Otherwise it is charming. Natalie will call you back, but it probably won't be that day. She does answer emails quickly and will work with you to address any concerns. As a family who has rented in Myrtle and the Outer Banks a number of times, we found the pool/patio design to be the best we've seen.
