This is not a four star hotel. The rooms are so old and not as clean. Please be careful when eating salads or fruits, they caused us really bad diarrhea and bloating for a couple of days.

The location is great with beautiful views and we were upgraded to an ocean front unit which was very nice There was a great evening of dinner with music during our first night but which we learned was due to a rally event as second night was dead. The staff was very helpful and pleasant

Accessibility to location is not great We were served an opened bottle of wine which we declined and then got one not opened which was a different color than the first one. It was explained to us that sometimes they refill the wines. During our second evening, the resort was virtually dead. And we had to order our meals from the rooms because there were no other persons in the dining area. Bed fell apart when sat on with some wooden pieces falling down

Booking to be done better Hotel ONE to work Hand in Hand with booking in to avoid confusion. Room stewards to have better understanding that they are the best marketers by their consistence in making the room,room had many issues that were never reported and even when we escalated the issue to the Receptionist, nothing was done. if a bath towel is used and still wet ...it should be given time to dry otherwise you will spend all the money replacing stained or discarded towels. consider fixing fridges ,safe and Tvs in some of the Garden and ocean facing rooms ,it can fetch more .

Rooms are spacious and good!

It is far from the town and the road is bad. Room is spacious but the bed is terrible. We were asked to pay extra money for lunch and dinner. No respect for guests by the staff. Very limited access to the beach.

The location was outstanding; there were several swimming pools and dedicated staff to organize water games, aerobic classes in water, etc. Staff were friendly and willing to help; they were very professional.

We booked a boat ride to see the dolphins in the sea. The service provider for the boat ride was very inefficient and the whole outing was a disaster: the boat left over an hour late; we had booked a full day outing with lunch; the quality of the food provided was unacceptable and we could not eat it. This is not the fault of the hotel, since the hotel is not responsible for that service, but they should check it out before recommending it to hotel guests.

The transport arrangements were a farce. Left us stood at the train station for 45 mins. The it turns out we had to pay the driver directly, despite agreeing it would be charged to the room. The driver tried to hustle us for an additional KES10k than what had been agreed Return transfer was equally badly organise, the car was tiny and the journey can only be described as torture. The food was shocking and some days many of the dishes inedible. On our last night, we had a plate of pilau rice because everything else was stomach churning slop. The service was terrible, i cannot remember more than one or occasions where we got our complete order. Something was always forgotten. Staff disinterested. Not once did i get ice in my drink when i asked for it, and had to ask at least once in follow up to get it. Al la carte menu is terrible and way below the standards of nearby hotels that we had to eat in or starve.

The site mentions TV available in the room but the hotel says its only ocean front which have TV while the site mentions different. We had gone for new years eve and 1 more night...the dinner for new year's eve was not worth at all the price paid...as other hotels the dinner has variety while what they had was just a usual dinner. Reception said there will be fireworks but there were no fireworks The hotel is quite far from town n the road leading to the hotel is not tarmac...

I got to really relax as I wanted. The attention to detail and the staff went over and above to ensure that we were comfortable.

The One is truly a magical destination! The harsh environment, shrouded with shrubs and the rugged, seasonal road was a surprising transition Coming from an area of plush greenery and good tarmacked roads, we were least prepared for the scorching sun We even contemplated turning back

A diamond in the rough, getting into the establishment and having meals near the ocean brought immense satisfaction Evening strolls on the beach with coffee @ hand, watching the sunset and the tides moving toward the horizon was the best experience I have had in years

Accessibility / Water shortage here and there / no landline phone - just private calls to the reception / no safe in the room / no TV channels just one / no Internet in the room in the restaurant or far away lobby only, very poor connection / extremely limited breakfast and f&b generally / no problem solvers.

No security on the beach. The beach is practically inaccessible due to crowds of beach boys pestering and blocking the passage.

Very good breakfast, lots of choices on the menu. The restaurant setting is well decorated and the location is idyllic.

Dinner service was quite slow, given the amount of guests present. WiFi connection in room was nonexistent.
