My wife and I stayed at this cabin from March 23 through June 23, 2023. The cabin is located in a picturesque setting that is teeming with the beauty of nature (a lake, cows nearby, trees, a beautiful sunrise, singing birds). However, in my opinion the cabin is not worth the money ($4770/mo). I sent Pete Maugans, the owner, a text midway into our stay explaining some of the ways that he could improve the cabin. I explained to him: -My wife and I would not be able to watch TV several times throughout our stay because the internet would go down. -There are several rooms that have burned out light bulbs or are just not light enough. -There have been roaches sighted in the kitchen as well as mouse droppings in the pantry. -The patio door is stuck and cannot be opened. - My wife runs out of hot water when she takes a bath. -The deck is unfinished. -The wood floors are stained, cracked and splintered throughout. -The dusty windows have old curtains. -The living room couch is torn; the coffee table is broken. -The air was not very comfortable though out most of our stay. It was either too warm or too cool in the cabin. -It would be nice if the cabin is cleaned weekly. - The washing machine makes a loud noise when it spins. I tell you all this because I see you wanting to improve your business, a wonderful trait that unfortunately seems to be lacking in most business owners today. But please, for the sake of your renters, do it soon!!!

Rustic with old appliances and window units for airconditioning. Clean sheets, towels, kitchen. Burner on stove don't all work and what ever I cooked it stuck to pans (I would update pans). Wonderful deck and access to lake with fire pit and tables and chairs. Pet friendly which our dogs and cats loved. Plenty of parking and very quiet. Neighbors not very close which gave us privacy as well.

We would come back again. Loved the area and the Longhorns!

Amazing lakehouse property, the house was clean and everything was what he said it was the only weird thing were the ghost LOL great thing I actually love horror related things otherwise I would've been scared but other than that and I can only speak for myself but I'll be renting from him again and i have others that have also rented his property, we all love it.

We sure enjoyed this place! The land is beautiful with a great view and access to the lake. The house was so perfect for our group! GREAT AC!! The kitchen had everything we needed with an awesome gas grill outside. Our favorite spot was the back porch! The cows come right up to the porch and will let you feed them corn cobs, etc. They were really a big plus! Pete was so accommodating and a great host! Would love to go back and hope he never sells this property to the 'McMansions that are encroaching all around it.

The house by the lake was great as it allowed us to disconnect from our busy lives. Spending time by the lake, feeling the breeze, listening 🎶 to the nature sounds afforded us with an opportunity for reflection and connectedness.

This was the perfect getaway - ina ranch setting only minutes from the city, great shopping and restaurants! Beautiful property, with huge trees and great views of the lake. So thankful I could bring my dog - she’s never seen cattle...especially long horns! Pete was so helpful and responsive - a few things in the house could use updating (along with the patio furniture), but it was quaint and quiet...and the perfect getaway for our girls’ weekend!

We loved our stay at this property! Not only is it gorgeous, but the cows come right up to you and are friendly, which made our stay so special. This is a great place to enjoy some quality time with family!
