Traveling with two friends, we had a wonderful time in Barbados; it was the first visit for all of us. Our accommodations at Glitter Bay was one of the highlights of our vacation. The rental unit was tastefully appointed and was a 12-20 feet walk to the beach and not to mention in close proximity to Holetown, a commercial area nearby. The consensus of the group is that we would highly recommend staying at Glitter Bay Estates.

Wonderful property close to the beach and many restaurants and shops.

Everything about this condo rental was first class!! The condo was beautiful, clean and had very good amenities! We walked along the stretch of beach for a good 2 1/2 hours every day so I can honestly say this condo is situated on the best stretch of that beach. Never had to worry about chairs as your beach chairs are reserved for your condo. Plenty of towels for the chairs as well. Owner was excellent in responding whenever we had a question or request. The housekeeper Leshelle did a wonderful job of taking care of us and even purchased groceries for us so we didn’t have to miss out on any beach time. I’d like to mention Dave the driver who was such a polite and kind man. If you’re looking for relaxation this is the place for you it is a very quiet location. If you’re the type of person who is looking to hear loud music and parties you’re not going to get that here. We wanted peace and quiet and that’s exactly what we got. The only negative thing I could say which is not about the condo - is the restaurant on site the food was not very good and overpriced. That being said there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the area which have very good food! Would definitely recommend and would definitely return here! First of all, I really don't want to alert a whole lot of people about this amazing location and condo! I have been to all the IT spots (bora bora, Fiji) and Barbados is where its at! The culture, the people, the food. We had a blast. I have two kids 10 and 8 and they played in the ocean all day, we rode jet skis, tubed, snorkeled, you name it we did it. Our recent family stay at 304 Glitter Bay was just perfect, the duplex condo accommodation is of a high standard with three ensuite bedrooms and tasteful décor and is kept pristine clean by Leshell and her son Wayne who were on hand to help but not in your way. Glitter Bay has a wonderful location right on the beach but it also has a lovely pool so you have close at hand both options through the day with no effort. We have often travelled and been slightly disappointed that the accommodation can be dated and tired here is not the case. We look forward to returning not just to Barbados but to 304 Glitter Bay.

Our family of five stayed in Golden Sunset at Glitter Bay for 10 nights in March. It was truly more than we could have ever wished for. The apartment is spacious, beautiful, and clean. Being able to drink my morning coffee overlooking the Caribbean Sea every morning was a dream. It's close to many beachside restaurants and a quick drive to Holetown. We had many delicious meals at the on site beach bar. Lounge chairs are provided for each guest (no getting up early to get one) and Rocky and Kemar were happy to move us up to the front when others left. Our kids loved the pool and playing tennis and table tennis. The jewels at Golden Sunset, however, are Janina, the owner, and her wonderful housekeeper, LeShell. Janina was helpful every step in planning our visit. She answered all our questions with patience and arranged our transfer to the apartment. LeShell is nothing short of amazing. She is super sweet, kept the apartment incredibly clean and was happy to make us a wonderful meal one evening. Everyone in our family loved Golden Sunset and we'll definitely be back!

What a beautiful place, we could not have had a better family break if we tried. Beach, Apartment, Staff all perfect for our needs. It really is a beautiful Bay, Reggae bus into Holetown in less than 10 mins. and surrounded by excellent restaurants. booking for next year already.

Four of us shared this wonderful apartment, beautifully furnished with both sea and pool views. Conveniently located, for a wide choice of restaurants and shopping. Dave picking us up at the airport meant we had the best start to our holiday. We were greeted on arrival by Shenay who gave us an excellent introduction to our holiday home for the next 3 weeks. Even the fridge was stocked with essentials. For the whole holiday we didn't have to lift a finger, as the lovely Samantha cleaned, washed and ironed for us. She was also happy to cook local caribbean meals when required and everthing with a big smile! Shequila, our concierge, did a great job booking restaurants etc. plus printing out our boarding passes for return flight to London. Alan, Wanda and Francia provided amazing and friendly service at the beach bar. Their rum punches and light lunches were sensational. Glitter Bay is one of the best spots on the island. All the benefits of having your own apartment, plus all the benefits of being in a hotel. Unit 304 is elegantly decorated and beautiful inside, with gorgeous balconies in every room and luxury amenities. Great for families or for romantic getaways. And the beach is one of the most beautiful on the island. We'll be back!

WHO COULD ASK FOR MORE I have just returned from a wonderful two weeks stay in apartment 304 at Glitter Bay. It is a beautiful apartment, tastefully furnished to an excellent standard. The views are superb. It is very light, airy and comfortable. When I arrived Nuru (the Apartment Manager) was there to greet me. She was so helpful, efficient and charming and made me feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for her and, as I was on my own, this was very re-assuring – I knew that if I required anything whatsoever, she would be on hand. I have stayed in Barbados for over 10 years and have stayed at various locations at St James but Glitter Bay has the WOW factor. The combination of Nuru and Apartment 304 is an irresistible reason why I want to book again for the same time next year. I will be counting the days!!!

We have visted Barbados for over 16 years at Christmas and New Year and generally stayed at hotels on the west coast. However 2 years ago we wanted a change and decided to stay in an apartment at Glitter Bay. We stay at 304 and what a great decision it has turned out to be. The apartment is huge and fully refurbished with great views out to see. The maid Samantha is a real gem keeping everything perfect and in addition does any extra washing and ironing. The facilities at GB are 100% perfect....best beach/beach bar/gym and great location very near Holetown. The question to ask about a holiday is would you go back......We have and will be doing so again so thank you Janina for let us stay in your beautiful apartment.

Firstly the details. Description was accurate regarding everything, in fact slightly undersold. The property looked like something out of a Homes and garden magazine. Dealing directly with the owner was easy and helpful. It would be mean of me not to recommend to other people although I would like to keep it to myself as we intend returning. Now our impressions. We normally holiday in a hotel and I was dubious as to whether I would still be chief cook and bottle washer - not here, I didn't lift a finger. Stunning apartment newly refurbished in neutral colours throughout which looked as if it had been done by an interior designer. Plentiful clean towels supplied daily. Three en suite bedrooms all with balcony which felt like being in hotel rooms but with the added space of dining and lounge/terrace areas. Maid service six days a week meant that other than loading breakfast things in to the dishwasher, there was nothing to do. Stunning views of the pool area and out to sea. Duncan met us upon arrival, showed us around and explained everything, juts like five star hotel service. Glitter bay beach allocates your sun chairs and umbrellas upon arrival so no silly fighting for position in the morning. There are clean pool and beach towels all day long. A fresh water shower for both body and feet when exiting the beach to rinse off the sand and salt is nice. Alan rocky and co provide great bar and beach service and are fun and friendly. The concierge is great In Arranging tours, golf, restaurants etc. Grounds and pool are tranquil and the place never seems busy. The monkeys provide much entertainment. Lunches were taken either next door at the fairmont watersports centre or a stroll along the beach at JuJu's beach shack. So many good restaurants a short taxi ride away (glitter bay will organise Perry for you) in the cliff, tides, nishi, cariba, Scarlets, royal pavilion seafood buffet, cin cin and the refurbished Lonestar which has definitely improved and we love because we can walk to it along the perfectly safe beach at night and leave shoes in the apartment. We thoroughly recommend calabaza sailing cruises who picked us up from our beach and we had two evenings great fishing with local fishermen. Aqua tiger is the best watersports guy on the beach. Run by owner tony he really knows how to teach people to waterski and board and we used him daily. He operates by appointment and operates to time. Great hols

Actually stayed a few years ago but now considering another trip to Barbados and remembered that we didn't do a review of Glitter Bay. We loved it! Stayed with three young kids who all still talk about the apartment. Very clean, very comfortable, great location, great views of the beach, and great facility in general. Really can't think of anything bad to say.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Glitter Bay. The apartment 304 was a great size - very spacious and perfect for our party of 5 (2 couples and 1 baby). The Maid service was a great touch - Laurel looked after us well and even did some babysitting for us one evening. The mod cons such as wireless internet and very effective air con in all rooms were great really added to the enjoyment of our holiday. We had fantastic weather and enjoyed spending our time at the wonderful beach. The facilities were excellent for a self catering apartment which had many of the advantages of a hotel (e.g. fresh beach towels, snack bar, security, pool etc). We hope to return again next year.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at unit 304 from June 14- 24. The view was lovely and the ocean couldn't have been nicer for a lazy sea bather like myself. Beverly and Chantelle met us on Sunday and made us feel very welcome as we moved in, and fed us a fresh and tasty chicken salad. Chantelle could not have been more helpful as she took care of us during our stay. The accomodations were in very good condition and everything was at least as good as it had been described. We want to thank you and the entire staff for what has been a most relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
