Renovated beach house. Lovely gardens. Needed to bring own linen and towels.

This was a great place to spend a couple of days- thank you Barry. We loved the back yard especially and playing boules.
A couple of maintenance items- The shower did tend to go everywhere but it wasn't a big deal. The dishwasher top rack was also broken.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was welcoming, neighbourhood lovely and quiet, close to amenities but with a lovely small village feel.

Although the weather was wet & cold, we enjoyed a last minute booking providing us with a much needed break in this well appointed clean, comfortable house surrounded by lovely native gardens.
Not far to beach meant our dog also had fun & good exercise on our walks.
Excellent Tasty breakfast enjoyed at the Somers General Store.

We had a wonderful weekend away staying here! We came with my parents and 18 month old, and had plenty of room to spread out and particularly enjoyed the Australian bush feel in the backyard amongst the gum trees! We had a seamless check in and great communication from the owner. Would highly recommend!

Lovely clean retro beach house in quiet street, great outdoor living spaces, close to walking tracks and beach access. Somers General Store just down the road offering coffee and tasty brunches. Appreciated extras such as an iron, well set up kitchen to cook in and 1970’s decor

We really enjoyed staying here with some friends for a relaxing weekend. Multiple spots for relaxing outside, fab gardens and well equipped house. Highly recommend!

Pleasurable two week stay in this well equipped accommodation- even extra supplies in the pantry. Short walk to beach and general store and great fenced garden for dogs ( and adults) to enjoy. Great walks to enjoy around Somers too. We didn’t really need to contact Barry during our stay but information provided before and after our arrival and stay was excellent.

Perfect Getaway
Fantastic place for a winter break.
We loved the property; the native garden and trees; the beautiful birds and the proximity to the General Store Cafe and beautiful Somers beach.
There are many walks to take and nearby beaches to visit. We enjoyed lunch at the Green Olive Winery and a Traditional pub meal at Balnarring. Barry was a great host and the house is clean and has everything you need to rest and relax. We would love to come back one day!

Comfy house
We had a good stay at this holiday house. Everything we needed was there (except wifi - my own fault as I should have checked before I booked). Beds really comfortable and all bedrooms with heaters which was appreciated as it was a cold weekend. The back door doesn't lock well and needs to be fixed, but everything else was ok. We were lazy and drove to the beach but it is possible to walk there if you want to, maybe a 15 minute walk to the dog beach? Would go again.

Fabulous property
Had a wonderful weekend stay at this property. It was very clean and communication from the owner was great. Beds were comfy and the bathrooms were nice too. We really enjoyed having the fire pit burning in the evening. I loved the mid-century modern styling and the beautiful native garden.

Quiet location & great yard for the dog.
We loved the location and the fenced back yard which was explored daily by our families dog. The house was clean and a great setup for the family and the kids.
Only little thing which should be fixed was the door handles in the master bedroom and closet which came off in our hands. Other than that, great place to stay.

Weekend retreat
We had a great weekend in this well-appointed house. It's in a quiet location a short walk to a very pretty beach. Loved the two decks and leafy outlook - it felt very private. Kitchen was well appointed and had a really big fridge. Would stay again.

Lovely, well equipped house
We had a great week at Barry’s house. Took the family to enjoy the beauty of Somers and this was the perfect spot. Low maintenance, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and a beautifully clean house. Was awoken (to my delight) a couple of nights by the resident koala falling for a mate, but we never managed to catch a glimpse. The birdlife is also just beautiful. Many thanks, Barry.

Somers Breeze
The house is perfectly located to walk to the beach and coffee shop. The area is in a quiet neighborhood and the house captures afternoon sea breezes. Delightful! We enjoyed relaxing outside on the front and rear decks.

Relaxing beach holiday
We enjoyed a lovely holiday break. Easy walk to all the lovey beach spots and walk trails. Plenty of wildlife to observe.
The house was comfy and relaxing, although when we opened BBQ ready to cook it was very dirty and no gas in the bottle. Balmarrring had run out of replacement gas bottles so very disappointing . The dishwasher seal was broken and a wheel missing from the top tray.
Otherwise it was an enjoyable stay.

It was a perfect holiday house for our family (3 kids and a dog). Easy walk to dog friendly beach and a lovely lunch at the Somers General.

This has been an absolute pleasure to stay at. Everything described in the listing is accurate and the house is lovely.
The only downfall is that the photos are slightly dated and don't quite do it justice. Even nicer in person!
Great amenities and the beach/Somers General Store are a very easy walk away.

Everything we needed
Owner was quick to respond, friendly and helpful.
Property was immaculate and well presented. The bathrooms are obviously new. The rear yard was secure and filled with amazing birdlife. We used the opportunity for beach walks, bike rides and kayaking trips. We loved our time there.

Mini break
We absolutely loved the house and the area. House was perfect for a young family as it had all the basics covered. We loved the area too and saw dolphins at the beach. Hope to get back there again, especially given its so close to Melbourne.
