We had a wonderful stay full of family fun! It’s a beautiful property with some much to do near Manuel Antonio. Jorge did an excellent job coordinating our excursions and we had delicious meals cooked by Germaine. Definitely recommend!

5 star property, 5 star location, 5 star concierge, 5 star chef, 5 star housekeeper and groundskeeper. This place was all that's advertised and more. I honestly can't think of one thing our group could have asked for - except an additional week stay! Jorge, the concierge was incredible - helped us with all arrangements before and during our stay. Chef Germaine made delicious dinners for us multiple nights - highly recommend using him frequently. Mark, the owner, had fresh baked cookies and an assortment of fruit waiting for us on arrival, a very nice touch. We had a group of 7, two couples and three teens. Gave us more than enough room to spread out as well as nice spaces to get together for meals and pool time. Can't express enough how perfect the location is - private, quiet, safe, beautiful views, visits from monkeys, toucans, etc daily. Look no further for the best property in Manuel Antonio, this is it!

My group of 18 extended family members ranging from 13 to 75 stayed for a week in this beautiful house in January. Everything about the place was amazing. The views from the house can’t be beat. We swam in the infinity pool watching the monkeys play everyday. The young adults played pool everyday in the game room. And the upstairs rooftop terrace was the perfect place to sit with a cocktail and watch the sunset every evening. I also sat up there in the mornings to watch the Howler Monkeys and drink my coffee. The view from the rooftop terrace is amazing. The maid kept the house immaculate despite the large size of our group. RESERVE THE CHEF FOR DINNERS! You will not disappointed. Germaine made amazing meals, did the shopping and after dinner cleanup. It made our time at Vista Oceana so much more relaxing. THE HOUSE! WOW! What can I say? Better than the pictures and the pictures were great. The only slight caveat was the king size beds on the 2nd level were very firm. If you are someone that needs a softer mattress, use one of the other rooms or maybe ask for a thick blanket to place under the sheet to soften it up. You couldn’t ask for a better concierge. Jorge was amazing. If we needed ANYTHING before , during or after the trip he was on it immediately. If you are thinking about reserving … do it! If it is slightly out of your price range but you keep coming back to it… reserve it anyway. As my niece said: “ this was the best vacation ever!” Pura Vida!!!

We came to encounter wildlife and we were not disappointed. Troops of white faced and squirrel monkeys delighted us daily and cooled off on the ledges of the pool. Just in the surrounding neighborhood we found about five sloths, including a mother/baby pair. From the many balconies we watched whales breach and maccaws fly overhead. The sunsets were exquisite. The house was very comfortable and well equipped for a large group (we were 12). The staff was exceptional. Highly recommend the chef service instead of dealing with organizing reservations and transportation to restaurant. The food was outstanding and it gave us more time to just relax, enjoy our family and get into the pura vida vibes. Jorge, the property manager was outstanding. He helped us arrange anything we needed. We had an unusual and urgent situation where I needed to make an immediate call to Panama (long story) and none of our phones could complete the call, and whatsapp wasn't getting through. Jorge saved the day and made the call for us, saving a family member from being stranded in Panama for another day. If you book the excursions, use the email that Jorge provides rather than the printed book in the house. Some of the terms have been changed since the printing. Also, to access the beach, we cut through the Hotel Aroboleda property (they didn't seem to notice or care) rather than walk down the curvy road with no shoulder. They lock the gate at night, so come back before dark.

Vista Oceana was perfect for our extended family group of eight adults and eight children ages five to fifteen. The lovely villa is spacious and suited to hosting a group. The setting with an ocean view and plants is beautiful. We spent hours in the pool and were able to see three types of monkeys and many birds from the patio. Slyvia, the housekeeper quietly kept our rooms clean and the pool guy maintained the pool daily in the early hours. The location is very convenient to the beach, restaurants, stores and the public bus. Jorge, the concierge, made trip planning very easy. He provided information and coordinated everything. We chose several adventures: catamaran, Campesines waterfall, zipline and a mangrove tour. Chef Germaine made four delicious dinners for us. We would all love to go back for another visit!

We loved our stay at this beautiful property. The house was perfect for our family. Each room has its own bathroom which was so nice. The view from every room as well as the pool is amazing. Daily visits from the monkeys added so much fun. Jorge, the concierge, was wonderful. He worked with us closely to not only provide recommended excursions but also made all the arrangements. Everything went without a hitch. Mark, the owner even came by to welcome us. We hired the chief to make dinner and breakfast for us. The food was fantastic and the presentation was right out of a magazine. This is our new favorite place and will definitely come back.

Our stay was amazing. The house was beautiful, great location. Jorge our concierge was so helpful. We had seven couples and the 7 suites were perfect for our stay. The house was very clean, Sylvia came in every morning to clean and did a wonderful job. Our full time chef prepared the best food we had while in Costa Rica. We would stay at this house every time we come to visit. We had no complaints. Everything was wonderful.

The whole stay was AMAZING. Jorge was always attentive to all our needs. The chefs ( Germaine) were so good we had them make most of our meals. The housekeeper was so considerate and kept everything clean. Gabriel kept the pool and outside property clean. The wildlife showing up at the Villa kept the children entertained everyday. The view was breathtaking. Can walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes waking. Just a great family trip.

we were two families with 5 children. The host and owner was very friendly. Fresh and beautiful flowers were prepared and there were homemade biscuits as a welcome. Jorge the concierge was great too. Thank you for everything!

I would give this house 10 stars if I could. Everything about it was wonderful. The house could not be more beautiful and Jorge made everything so easy. The owner was also extremely nice and helpful. We cannot say enough good things about the chefs. Germain and Josefana made some of the best food we’ve ever had. Also do yourself a favor and book a massage. They were amazing. I would highly recommend this house to anyone. We were a group of 16 and everyone was comfortable and there was plenty of space for quiet time even with our big group. Seeing capuchins, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys and even a sloth on the property made it even more special. The house is also within easy walking distance to some great restaurants and shops and to the beach. Overall this was an amazing experience. We would come back in a second!

We have enjoyed big family trips for a few years and have had great stays in each one. But Casa Vista Oceana is like the "Icing on the Cake". Jorge, the property manager, and i stayed in contact via email prior to our arrival. He arranged numerous excursions for our group of 17 as well as arranging transportation from airport to house. As each of our 3 groups arrived at the house Jorge met us and took us on a tour of house and property. We had arranged for the chefs to cook our dinner that evening which was over the top delicious.I highly recommend doing this!! Germaine and Jossy were amazing! Arrived around 4:00 and began preparing our meal. We were blown away by the delicious food. We booked them 3 more nights and later said we should have had them cook every night. While we ate, they were busily cleaning and putting leftovers in fridge. WOW! Mark, the owner, showed up our second day to welcome us with a huge batch of homemade cookies. He also had created a beautiful flower arrangement and huge bowl of fresh tropical fruit for our arrival. Capuchin monkeys welcomed us daily usually beginning early in the morning. They provided so much entertainment especially for our 5 teenage grandchildren. In the evenings we heard and occasionally saw howler monkeys. The housekeeper and gardener/maintenance workers arrived daily and quietly went about their duties. Pool and house were thoroughly cleaned daily. All we had to do was relax and enjoy our stay! Accolades for all! Pura Vida!

The house was great! Amenities, staff, location, everything was great! The concierge, Jorge, did an incredible job helping us with everything, which really helped the trip go smoothly. The private Chef was also incredible! We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Casa Vista Oceana is an exceptional property very well located to the many activities offered in the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area. Both the owner, Mark, and Jorge, our stay coordinator, displayed warmth, congeniality and a customer service orientation that exceeded even our highest expectations. Additionally, the staff servicing the facility daily (pool, housekeeping) were extremely thorough, personable and reliable. Travel to Casa Vista Oceana with confidence. It’s an experience you will never forget!

The walk down to the beach is steep but not long (<15min down). It wouldn't work for those with limited mobility, but was easy for our group, and we were able to fully enjoy the proximity.

14 of us stayed at Casa Vista Oceana mini May for 10 nights and there was more than enough room in the villa. Everything about this entire trip was beyond amazing. The villa is immaculate and is even better than the photos on the website. From our arrival until our departure, we had nothing but great times. Jorge, Sylvia, Germaine and Josephina were all wonderful and kind. Jorge helped us set up any excursion or adventure we wanted. He would stop in to check on us and helped with any grocery deliveries we needed. We opted for all meals to be prepared by Germaine and Josephina and were so glad we did. It was all sooo good. We pretty much let them do whatever they wanted for the meals instead of choosing off the menu options. One of our kids on the trip had a birthday while visiting and everyone helped to make it extra special for her. Mark, the owner stopped by to say hello and brought homemade cookies for the kids which was super thoughtful and kind. Everyone we encountered on the trip was kind and truly wanted to show us how wonderful Costa Rica is. We had 2 excursions with Henry. His passion for the animals and reptiles and insects of CR made them that much better. We also enjoyed Campesinos Waterfall, the zip lining tour, and the catamaran tour. We saw as many animals by the villa as we did on excursions. The curious capuchins were entertaining as were the squirrel monkeys jumping through the trees. We saw many sloths and even some howler monkeys. Thank you for everything!

This was my third time to Costa Rica, first time renting a house. The communication between Mark (the owner) and Jorge (property manager) was top notch. There were 18 people in our party ranging from 5 years old to 50 years old. Every single person had the time of their life. Jorge took care of everything for us with a smile on his face the entire time. Germaine (the chef) we begged to come home with us. The best food that we had in Costa Rica (and best price too) was when he cooked for us at the house. From the daily monkey visits, to the indescribable views of the ocean, delicious food & having the best property manager help us - there is nothing but good things to be said. I look forward to returning one day.

This property, staff, location, security, animals, & the owner make this property top-notch! My family of 5 had an absolutely amazing time at this villa. Hands down the best place we’ve ever rented. Jorge, the concierge, handles anything & everything to make your vacation special. Sylvia, the housekeeper, quietly cleans & moves throughout the home. Kind & wonderfully detailed oriented. Germaine & his sous chef make absolutely delicious meals. The wildlife enhance the stay. We loved watching the monkeys, birds, sloths, iguanas! It was difficult to leave, but we made wonderful memories with our girls! On a side note, is you should be larger than our group of five, don’t hesitate to rent. There are so many areas to this house: private balconies, pool area, family room area, game room area, bed rooms. Even better, we were blessed to meet the owner on our last day. Purely delightful man! He brings his love of detail & the outdoors to an all new level! HEAVEN ON EARTH

Wonderful house and staff. Enjoyed the wildlife and accommodations. Have to watch everything with them monkeys around for sure! Good walking/hiking shoes are a must because there is much terrain to navigate! Pura Vida!

We stayed here with 17 people- 12 adults and 5 kids. This property exceeded any and all expectations. The rooms were all wonderful, the views spectacular, kitchen, pools, game room, outdoor area, wifi etc. I’m not sure we can even find something to complain about. The staff were so friendly and helpful! Sylvia always keeping the house in order and Oscar on the maintenance. Jorge— made our dreams come true with all of our excursions and itineraries, including the surprise sea turtle release !! It felt like we did so much and the schedule and transportation was perfect. Anytime we had problems or concerns he was super quick to react to help and resolve whatever it was. Mark was incredible from start to finish — answering any and all questions prior to booking to making extra special cookies to accommodate allergies. We did the private chef meals twice and they were fantastic. The flavor and seasonings used made every bite so good. Would highly Recommend paying for this at least once or twice. It was great hanging outside and swimming while someone cooked you a high end meal. The wildlife surrounding the home was incredible. The monkeys were amazing everyday on the patio !!! We saw so many throughout the week and it was certainly a highlight. Nothing like a howler monkey for an alarm clock !! The beach is a 10 min walk and it is downhill and quick. The way back is tougher with the uphill climb. Just be aware of that. But a taxi there would likely be a 1-2 min drive only. Grabbing a taxi on your own seemed very cheap but Jorge is always willing to help and there is a provided phone number in house. Thank you Mark and team for an unforgettable vacation!!

Absolutely gorgeous house and setting. Everything looks in very good order and we had everything we needed. The crew here are super accommodating as well. We hired Germaine and Josephine for breakfasts and dinner for the week and loved everything. The bananas flambé was so good we had it twice. When there was an issue with the house Jorge was super attentive and quick to respond. Mark stopped by with some delicious cranberry cookies for us and some treats for his staff. You can tell he takes good care of them. And last but not least we loved the wildlife that visited every day. We had daily visits from the capuchin, and squirrel monkeys. Saw macaws flying, heard and saw toucans singing and even saw a sloth in one of the trees. Oh and I can’t forget about the 530 wake up call from the howler monkeys…. Such a cool sound. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

This trip was absolutely amazing!!! Jorge answered every question we had from start to finish, he also had everything in place throughout our entire trip to make sure we were good throughout the 8 days we were there. We traveled with 14 of us ranging from 12-70 and had plenty of room to be comfortable. We spent a lot of time at the pool or 3rd floor deck enjoying the views or the wildlife that came to visit throughout the day. Every part of the house had amazing views and was very well kept up. Germaine and Josephine cooked breakfast and dinner 5 days for us. We enjoyed joking around with them every morning and night and looked forward to the next day and what they would have for us. They were an awesome team and cooked the best food that we ate by far while we were on our trip. I would book them for the entire trip next time to cook every day. Silvia cleaned the house everyday and did laundry. The house was spotless when we would return from the beach and everything was put back where it went. She was great!! The grounds around the house are extremely well kept and we even saw the owner Mark there doing a few things. All in all we will be back to this home again hopefully soon. Thanks to Mark and his Crew for making our Vacation a dream we never wanted to wake up from. Pura Vida....

We were 5 couples staying in the villa and were all blown away with the beauty! The views from the infinity pool and 3 rd floor patio were spectacular and we enjoyed multiple daily visits from all 3 monkeys species. The sunsets were amazing every night- no need to go elsewhere! We had chef Jermain and Josephine cook us several breakfast and dinners and they were all beautifully presented and delicious! We could walk to Manuel Antonio beach( challenging uphill walk home) or taxi easily. Concierge Jorge was unbelievable at meeting our every request prior to arrival and during our stay! Overall, this villa exceeded all our expectations and we had a fantastic week- don’t hesitate to book!!

Mark’s amazing villa is amazing! The property afforded all 15 of us with complete comfort, spacious accommodations with a sprawling layout It permitted plenty privacy (9baths 7 bedrooms, most with balconies) with a warm , architecture design decorated with beautiful art and craftsmanship that highlighted it’s elevated spectacular view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Amenities were 2nd. To none!

We spent a week at this property with our 6 adult children and their spouses. The property is as pictured and described on the website. Jorge , our concierge was readily available and responsive to our questions and needs. Mark, the owner, left us a large, delicious bowl of local fruit, which we really enjoyed. He also visited briefly and brought some his homemade cookies! We had lots of monkey visits and saw a mama sloth and her baby as well as a few birds. (We also had a racoon visit a knock the outside garbage over :)) The outside kitchen was great for BBQ. Pool was very clean and had a great view. Sylvia kept the house clean and our laundry washed and folded every day! We had Chef Germaine and his assistant Adrian prepare several meals for us. They cooked the catch from our fishing trip one day and a traditional Costa Rican meal on our last evening. Delicious and so nice to have them prepare and clean up. The only complaints we had from the adult kids were the full size mattresses in a couple of rooms and some issues with the internet. (Jorge was great in addressing that problem. ) We hated to leave and would strongly recommend this property. We plan to return in the future if possible!

WHAT A HOME!!! We’ve stayed in mountain resorts and beachfront houses, but nothing compares to Casa Vista Oceana in Manuel Antonio. Between the views from each balcony and the wildlife in the palm of our hands, it was a struggle to leave this place every day to venture out. Our close proximity to the National Park and hikes such as The Rainmaker & Nauyaca made the trek from San Jose WELL worth it. As we visited the surrounding areas, we saw tourists oohing and awing at the monkeys and colorful birds. Our party was underwhelmed given our daily up close interactions, all from the comfort of our deck. We enjoyed an amazing meal from the private chef the first day of our stay which was much appreciated after a long travel day. There were also fantastic food options just up the street, Agua Azul and Emilio’s Café to name a couple. Lastly, the staff was fantastic! Jorge answered all of our questions and was very helpful in the months leading up to our stay. He also assisted us whenever we were in need during all hours of the day. Sylvia was AMAZING, and the rest of the crew kept us comfortable the entire week. When discussing our favorite parts of the trip, the house itself was the heavy favorite. We most definitely want to re-visit Costa Rica, but only if we’re staying at Casa Vista Oceana. Thank you so much Mark for sharing your incredible home.

Everything about our stay was spectacular! We were greeted by our concierge Jorge upon our arrival, who took care of all our needs including groceries and transportation. We had chef Germai cook many meals for us, all of which were amazing! The housekeeper and maintenance man were friendly and did a great job as well. The in-room massages were also amazing! If you like being around monkeys, this is the house for you! They were very entertaining. All in all i highly recommend Casa Vista Oceana if you are planning a trip to costa rica.

We were three families. Grandparents in their 70s, Two families with 3 children each ranging in ages from 4 to 12. The rooms were so comfortable and beautiful, each with their own bath. The pool and outdoor space welcomed us every evening with the ever needed outdoor shower and outdoor extra powder room. One family took the two story guest house and there was enough privacy for all. We were at first unsure about having a maid and gardener each day, but Sylvia and Roberto assured us of comfort and cleanliness beyond compare and are so very kind and pleasant in spite of the endless laundry! The capuchin monkeys did visit every day and the children knew to stay calm and quiet and so were able to delight in their antics. Birds were magnificent and the view can't be described. The walk to the beach is not far but up a hill to the road which has little room to walk so we drove the few minutes to the free parking and rented chairs. Great food can be ordered. Jorge arranged excursions so we kayaked the mangroves, snorkeled off the Trimaran, and the older kids took surfing lessons. We took two days at Manuel Antonio and it is truly unique. One evening we were treated to chef Germaine's delicious cooking. The home is a sanctuary. Thank you Mark for sharing your beautiful home.

This property, it’s owner and staff are nothing short of extraordinary. The property is perfectly situated near (i.e. walking distance) great restaurants, shopping, a wonderful beach and the entrance to Manuel Antonio. It is clean, very well-maintained, and consistent with the pictures. Our group of fifteen stayed comfortably with room to spare. The staff is also exceptional. Jorge, the concierge, is on another level. Trust me, I worked with two concierges for back-to-back group trips (the other to Turks and Caicos) and Jorge blew the other concierge out of the water. He was instrumental in booking our numerous activities, restaurant reservations, babysitting and transportation (both to and from the airport and around town). Our reservations changed several times prior to our arrival and even once we were there, yet he was diligent in keeping on top of our bookings, communicating with both the operators and me regularly. He also went above and beyond on several occasions. For example, we simply asked if they had boogie boards and despite the last set being broken by past guests, Jorge had three delivered a few hours later, which the kids enjoyed using every day. This was just one example of something unexpected yet so considerate and wonderful. Lastly, I cannot forget Germain, the chef – also, incredible. We originally booked only two chef meals but after the first we booked an additional two. EVERY. SINGLE. THING. he made was delicious and cooked to perfection. You won’t find another property and staff this good. I wish I could give it ten stars.

We had a wonderful experience. My daughter and niece graduated from high school. We wanted to have a nice family vacation before they go off to college. Mark has a beautiful home and property. Jorge was fantastic coordinating everything for us. Jermaine was an amazing chef. His ceviche and flan are to die for! Sylvia cleaned/and would wash our clothes, so we honestly did not need to lift a finger. The property has howler monkeys to wake you up in the morning. We saw sloths, Titi monkeys, iguanas, bats, frogs, and crabs from the home. You can hear the wave and enjoy the views and breeze. We are definitely going back! Thank you Ocean Vista Team! Pura Vida!

We began our search one year in advance for the perfect location to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our family. After settling on Costa Rica as our destination, we explored the many beautiful and diversely different areas of this gorgeous country. Manuel Antonia, on the pacific coast, checked all the boxes for our entire family. Honestly, the most difficult decision was where to spend our week….this country deserves more than a one week visit! Once we decided on MA, our search for the venue was done very quickly. We are a family of 12, ranging in ages 75-10. We wanted a large, gorgeous home with plenty of space to spread out, ocean views, easy access to shopping, excursions, beach fun….My first sight was CASA VISTA OCEANA…..Looked no further…done….booked! This home is not only beautiful, immaculately clean and fun, It comes with the most amazing views, staff and owner. If you have read other reviews you already know about how Oscar quietly shows up early each morning to spruce up the outdoor area, how Sylvia arrives with her beautiful smile and tidies up the entire house and does all needed laundry, how Germain and his Sous Chef work their magic in the kitchen for delicious meals, how the adorable monkeys will entertain you throughout the day poolside, how proud and kind the citizens of Costa Rica are, how Mark, the owner, drops in to say hello and shares why and how he landed in MA. By reading other reviews and canvassing the photos , you already have seen the inside beauty of the house. The 7 bedrooms, 9 baths were so perfect for our family. We even made use of the Murphy Bed in upstairs alcove. The glue that holds your entire experience together, makes your vacation seamlessly easy is Jorge, your personal concierge. This terrific guy does it all…arrival and departure vans from and to San Jose with vans large enough to hold 12, to every pickup and delivery for every excursion you may want, to restaurant suggestions, to questions about cash vs credit cards, last minute excursion help and everything in between! He is magical, so very kind, you will not soon forget him. Thank you, Jorge. We are so thankful we chose CASA VISTA OCEANA and our week was indeed SPECTACULAR !
