Our family enjoyed our stay in your North Ga home!!! Very quiet and nice neighborhood; surprised by the wildlife we saw each day on the river from the porches!!! Thanks for allowing us to stay in your home!!!

Have rented this house for the past 16 years on this date. House is more expensive then surrounding houses. May look into other houses on the same street due to the price next year, but would come back.

Floated the river, rinsed off and hit the hot tub everyday. We don’t usually do the same property twice, but we might have to hit this one again! Awesome and communicative owners with great suggestions for activities in Ellijay. Lovely people.

This is our 3rd year staying in the home and it was still just as nice as the first time. Kathy is always kind and very responsive. The home is prefect for our 10 people. Kitchen is stocked well for all of our cooking needs.

We had an amazing time at the Cartecay River House. Very clean, well thought out house in an amazing location. We had a blast and would love to come back again.

We just left the Cartecay River House and had an absolute amazing time. We stayed for 6 nights which was perfect for our group of 9. The house had ample sleeping room and the way the home was set up our three groups each had their own floor to themselves at night. Everything was well thought out and very clean. We enjoyed white water rafting on the Ocoee (45 min away), pontoon boat rental on lake blue ridge (30 min away), zip lining in blue ridge and of course hanging out on the Cartecay River. We anchored some connected tubes in front of the property to chill out and take it easy but when we wanted to float we drove a mile down the road to the canoe launch and floated an hour back to the house. We will definitely consider coming back next year. Thank you Kathy for being so attentive and for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

The sound of the river was what we all neeeded to relax and realign with nature. With young children, the close proximity to town and the short drive to Amicalola Falls was just right. And, the bedding was dreamy. We hope to come back soon!

We had family from around the Atlanta area and me from Florida. It was a beautiful home with plenty of space. The king beds in 4 of the bedrooms was great and comfortable. The crystal clear river was so peaceful. we will be back.

A group of my friends and I stayed in this lovely cabin for our annual fall leaf trip. The cabin was absolutely amazing. VERY clean. Communication from the owner was excellent. I'm not one to like phone calls, so I was delighted that she was a texter :) Had an issue with the fireplace in the den, so we contacted her and she had someone come over to fix it right away. There was plenty of room for our group of 6. Originally there was going to be 8 of us, and we still would have had lots of room. Lots of nice touches - basket of snacks on the counter to greet us when we arrived, ice already in the freezer, washer and dryer with laundry detergent provided, an iron in the closet, hair dryer in the bathroom, extra blankets and pillows, wonderful furniture on the deck so you can sit out back and listen to the river as it rushes by...it was a wonderful experience. You will NOT be disappointed if you stay at this cabin. Several of us are already planning a vacation with our own families and want to stay there again. The ONLY suggestions I would have is to maybe label some of the light switches (there are a lot!) and have some extra batteries on hand for the remotes. 2 or 3 of them weren't working due to dead batteries. Very minor issues. Thank you for a fantastic experience..definitely 5 stars!!!

We rented this cabin for my 40th birthday weekend with four couples. It was perfect for all of us. We never felt like we were on top of each other because the cabin was spacious. One of the few cabins with a king bed in every bedroom! The cabin was so well stocked and equipped with everything we needed. Also very clean!

This house was great. There was so much space, even for 9 occupants. The decks with river view was wonderful as was the outside swing on the deck. The beds were super comfortable. The house was very well equipped.

This house is very peaceful. There was plenty of space for our 9 person vactation. The house was very well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable. We enjoyed using the pool table and hot tub. The deck views were amazing and we all enjoyed sitting out there eating, talking and using the swing.

Our stay was 2 families with 4 teenage boys. The home was great as the boys loved taking over the walk out lower level. There is one main floor master suite and then the 2nd floor has 2 bedrooms with king beds that share a full bath. We were uncertain of the 2nd floor layout so I wanted to point that out. Only hiccups were if you email the owner and don't get a response the property manager has the wrong email for her so she never replied. When we got to the home (5ish) to check in, housekeeping was just getting there. They were unaware of our stay so we had to wait a few hours. The home owner was very apologetic and compensated us. Overall a beautiful home and location. We enjoyed our stay.

The cabin really does have everything you need for a short or long stay. The location on the river is absolutely gorgeous. So quiet and peaceful, but within a short drive to many local attractions. Will look to book this again on the future.

The house was big and the backyard very relaxing by the river! The location was great, 5-10 from grocery stores and restaurants.
