We have just returned from a fantastic Break at Dormie House in Silloth. Bev met us and gave all the essential information and left some doughnuts and a pint of milk. The property is in close walking proximity to the town and promenade, has on street parking and is only a few minutes walk to the beach across the golf course which our dog loved. The house has mostly everything you will need for a great self-catering holiday and I would not hesitate in recommending it to future guests. The house is on a road with the main bedroom to the front so there is some road noise if you are a light sleeper, but it did not bother us and there is always the back bedroom which could be used instead. The only minor points for us were that we found the beds too firm (orthopaedic beds) and the settees not comfortable to sit on for long.
